Volume 40 The end of terror

The adults were perplexed to see such a huge blue dragon floating in the sky, Yuri reached out his hand. The dragon placed its head on his head, with a warm smile on his face he said, "Juan, what have you done?"

Shion looking at the two was amazed, Yuri saw the sword on the ground. Yuri patted the dragon's head, Yuna was amazed to see her brother's dragon form it was fierce and wild. Yuri looking at his family said, "It is a matter of time before he arrives…" "Juan is a perfect opponent for him, we can help him as much as we can!" Shion was hopeful that Victor will be killed and they would happily move on with their lives.

Shion and Talin rushed inside to grab weapons to aid them for battle. Yuri looking at Daniel said, "My son is only five, he has dreams to live for. You have to take care of them for me Daniel. I know Shion will hit rock bottom but help him stand on his feet." Daniel holding Yuri's hand replied, "Yuri we have a chance if we stand together, you also have dreams…"

"It will be hard for me to carry on living with all I have suffered, I have to take my pain with me to my grave. My soul is broken beyond repair....my body feels heavy Daniel. It is time that l rest, I trust you Daniel, this is my fate." Yuri picked the knife on the ground he smiled back at Daniel as he walked away.

Victor arrived and appeared in the bedroom looking for Yuri. He gritted his teeth, "Where is he?!" Suddenly Victor was attacked by a blue dragon, he puked blood as the dragon hit him really hard on his chest. Victor looking at his blood said, "What little tricks are you playing Yuri? Nothing can stop me from taking what is mine back!"

Victor changed into his dragon form, the sight was menacing and scary. Their fight escalated out of control in the skies. The thunder rumbled as the father and son battled to kill each other, Juan might have been young but he gave Victor a good fight. Victor claws slowly penetrated Juan's core to rip it out.

All the attacks from Shion and Talin were deflected and it drove him even angrier. Victor roared at Shion and Talin, Yuri looking at his family fighting for their lives as tears dropped on his eyes and enchanted a spell on the sword. The sword glowed; Victor dropped Juan as he rushed to stop Yuri from completing the ritual.

Yuri stabbed his heart with the sword, the pain was immense, but he slowly pushed the sword till it tore his heart in two. Before his last breath looking at Shion he mumbled, "I…Love you…I love you. "Victor looking at Yuri's body as it fell on the ground yelled, "Yuri! Yuri! No!" Shion's world stopped as he watched his lover's corpse lying on the ground.

Slowly the demons on Victor faded away, his dragon form was glowing gold again. Victor changed into his human form, holding Yuri in his arms he broke down to tears. Shion suddenly fell on the ground, Yuna with trembling feet froze as she starred on her mother. Daniel rushed with Juan inside the house to stop his wounds from bleeding. Victor's claws sank deeper into his body.

Victor with tears on his face said, "How am I supposed to live without you? I am sorry Yuri…wake up. Yuri!" Talin was trying to revive Shion, Yuna holding Takato in her hand was trying to puzzle the situation together.

Victor knew his sins were only punishable by death, all the havoc and pain he bestowed on Yuri and the world. Victor gave Yuri a back hug as the sword pierced his core, "I love you." Victor till his last breathe was holding onto his lover, even death couldn't separate him from his loved one.

The sword and their bodies slowly vanished into the air as blue crystals, any soul offered to the sword of life would never be reborn.

Shion deep in his sleep was visited by the spirit of Yuri, with a smile on his face he said, "Yuri, I knew you would never leave me!" He warmly embraced him, but his body was cold as ice. Yuri said, "I don't have much time Shion, I am sorry for leaving you without a proper goodbye…" Shion shaking his head shouted, "Yuri, you promised to stay with me forever."

Yuri touching Shion's heart replied, "I am with you in here forever, I will cherish the memories we shared together. You were the best husband I could ever ask for, even in my darkest moments your memories gave me hope to keep on fighting. You have to take care of our children and love them double. I am happy I saw you in my final moments, I couldn't keep on living with a broken soul…" Shion with tears on his eyes said, "Yuri, please don't leave me. I will wait for you even for a thousand years."

Yuri wiped away his tears, "Don't wait for me Shion, live your life again. Don't hurt yourself and take care of them." Yuri kissed Shion, his spirit fading away said, "I love you."

Shion woke up from his nightmare and saw himself in a palace, "Where is Yuri?! I have to see him!" Daniel tried to calm him down, he sedated him to keep him under control. Juan's wounds healed quickly but when he woke up his mother was gone.

Yuna constantly blanked out as memories of Yuri's death kept on repeating in her head. Daniel was internally crumbling down but he wanted to live up to the promise he made to Yuri. Talin was assisting Juan to handle the affairs, Shion kept out bursting whenever he opened his eyes.

Daniel saw Shion sitting on the bed gazing at the stars, tears were trickling down his cheeks, "He isn't coming back is he?" He held back his misery to comfort his friend, "To be honest he isn't coming back Shion, it might be early and selfish for me to tell you to be strong…"

"Where is my wife Daniel? I need to see my wife." Shion looking at Daniel with teary eyes asked. Daniel gently explained what had taken place after he collapsed. Shion sighed and said, "Till the very end he sacrificed himself to save us, I was so worthless to even protect him." Daniel hugged Shion as he cried bitterly in his arms.

Yuri sitting in a garden filled with flowers plucked out a rose, looking at the rose he said, "I love you Shion." Victor looking at a dazed Yuri asked, "Why did you sacrifice yourself if you love him that much?" Yuri cleaning the roots replied, "To save my family from you."
