Coronation Ritual.

After explaining the process of the duel to both Elena and Raden, a transparent folded space was created for them to undergo the trial.

while the space looks small from the outside, upon entering into it, both participant could see that the space was constantly expanding to give them enough room to fight without feeling restricted.

Right before the signal was made for them to start the duel, Elena quickly equipped the complete dragon armour set. This time around, she opted for the claymore instead of the flame sword.

On the other hand, dragon-like scales began covering Raden's skin, serving as a means of defence from external attacks.

The moment the signal was made, dark shadowy substance covered Raden's eyes, on both hands, were dark energy balls, and he was ready to haul attacks at elena any moment.

Elena, on the other hand, laced the edge of the claymore with condensed vampiric energy and, at the same time, also began channelling lightning through the sword.

If anything, having Omni-Energy manipulation ability meant she could use different types of abilities all at one. This type around, she was ready to give it her all as long as it means the position of a lady will become hers.

seeing both participants using one of the strongest moves right from the start, the crowd was in awe. it obvious no one would be going easy on the other.

Blaze has been activated. the next moment, elena sprinted forward at the same time, slashing forward with her sword, sending out several lightning bolts at Raden.

Not dodging the incoming attacks, Raden took Elena's lightning attacks head-on. in the surface, one would think the attacks did next to nothing as there was no visible damage whatsoever in Raden's body.

But Elena could tell with the help of her system that Raden had suffered internal injuries just from that attack. And due to Claymore's active skill of dealing 10% extr damage to its victims, elena was confident that with time and the right calculations, she might be able to win this match after all.

The whole time, Raden had a creepy smile on his face. with a sudden flick of his hands, the dark energy balls he was holding turned into a spare which he hauled at elena.

Moving out of the way, she tried to dodge Raden's incoming attack, but somehow, it was as if the spear had a mind of its own. locked to its target, the spear was fast on her trail.

Unable to outrun the incoming attack, she decided to send out an attack of her own. making a u-turn, she slashed forward with her claymore while activating ability absorption skills.

much to her horror, the Claymore was unable to absorp the dark energy Raden had used in creating the spear.

It was at this point that she realised whatever powers Raden and Sammy were using wasn't an ability. But it was already late, as the spear was still able to push forward and pierced her chest.

The force behind the attack sent her flying several metres backwards. taking a quick look at the spot where Raden's attack had struck, she heaved a deep sigh. Thanks to Dragon set Armour, the attack was unable to penetrate or cause any real damage.

with a back flip, she stood back on her feet. taking a battle stance, she began channelling lightning not just through the claymore sword. This time around, her entire body was covered with lightning.

At this point, one could mistake her for the divine of lightning himself. slashing downward, a lightning bolt decended from the sky and crashed into Raden, pushing him several feet into the ground.

From the point where he was forced into the ground, crack lines began making their way towards elena. The next moment, a monster like hand accended from the cracks on the ground, grabbed Elena's feet, and sent her flying backwards with just a simple fling.

before her body met the ground, raden was already in front of her, without holding back. He began sending fists strike upon fists strike.

pummelling her with his full strength and not holding back in fear of killing her in the process. After pummelling her for 3 minutes straight, Elena's face was swollen and covered with her own blood.

One could tell she was on the verge of dying, but Raden had no thoughts of letting her go. the vampire noble that was in charge of the trial was forced to forcefully end the trial by announcing Raden as the winner after he received a telepathic message from alacad threatening to kill him if he didn't end the trial right that instance.

While everyone was stunned at the brutal way Raden had used in defeating elena, they all also respected him for being strong.

zareth, Arwin, and the others were surprised at Elena's loss. time and time again, Elena had performed miracles in their eyes, even defeating opponents that were stronger than her. To them, Raden's victory felt like a big blow.

Alacad, on the other hand, was angry. He had high hopes for Elena. Even though her opponent was a Draconic Vampire, he believed if she had used the weapon he had gifted her the right way, she would have been able to win the duel easily.

After seeing how easily Raden had defeated Elena, and how the claymore was unable to absorb the attack of Raden, Dracula confirmed his suspicion that Raden or whoever it was that was acting as Raden had a connection with Sammy.

Not only that, whatever strange dark powers they were both using was far from being an ability. if anything, the power was strange and different, different from anything that dracula has ever seen.

If he had wanted Elena to win, he could have easily taken control of her, but that would do her no good. if anything, dracula wanted her to learn from her failures and mistakes.

For it is only by making mistakes will one become truly wise and stronger.

A team of healers quickly took Elena away, while the entire crowd cheered for Raden. After crowning him as the Lord of the 3rd Kingdom, the coronation ritual for Alacad began properly.

All seven Lords proceeded to make a small cut on their hands before dripping a droplet of blood on the crown.

This was to symbolise the strengths and weaknesses of the vampire race as well as the support of all seven kingdoms.

After which, the crown was placed on Alacads head. while the crowd chanted in unison.

their cheerful chants revibrated across the entire city of kings. while in the healing Chambers, elena could hear the chants of the crowd.

She knew alacad would be mad at her for her failure, but what's done is done....... A familiar voice echoed in the room, asking the healers to leave.

moving her head to see the one who has entered, Elena saw the emotionless face of Aidris. without saying a word to her, he slit his hands and fed her his blood once more.

Just like before, she got a system notification informing her that she had received 3 set points in all her attribute points. the damage Raden's attacks have caused her all disappeared under the nourishment of Aidris blood.

"Do you know why you keep losing against the same person over and over again?" Aidris asked.

confused, Elena was confused. instead of answering, she decided to ask a question of her own. "What do you mean by the same person? How many times have I lost in a battle?

Shaking his head, he chuckled lightly before tapping Elena on her head. " Surely you have eyes, right? Even a blind person can tell whoever it was you fought in the alleyway was the same person whom you just went up against."

After hearing Aidris words, Elena began connecting the dots, and it was strange that Sammy and Raden had both used the same power and attacks.

what was more strange was the fact that whatever they had used wasn't an ability at all. it was something different all together.

But was that enough reason to conclude they were both one and the same? she wondered.
