Combat Trial part 1.

A few hours later, the strength based trial came to a conclusion.

The participants with the highest points for the strength trial were as follows

In first place was the pink haird girl Arwin . She had killed a total of 600 goblins. In second place was the boy with the fire ability,with a total of 598 points for killing 598 goblins.

In 3rd place was Zareth with a total of 550 points. In 4th place was the boy with invisibility ability. With a total of 500 points.

Elena was the participant with the 5th highest score, as she had managed to kill a total of 490 goblins.

Currently, she was relaxing in the temporary room that has been assigned to her. The other participants also had a room of their own.

She was checking through her stats in the system attributes bar.

She had a wide grin on her face. Upon completing her quest earlier , and due to the number of goblins she had killed, she was able to bring her Exp to more than half of the number she needed to level up.

The total number of Exp she received from killing 490 goblins,including the king, was 2495. With an additional 1000 Exp reward from the quest. with 2 stat points each in strength and agility.

1.Camouflage. Lv 03. Skill description, the ability of Host to blend in with the surrounding environment for 60 seconds. Skill can be levelled up by continuous use of the skill.

2.Blaze. Lv 02. Skill Description. When the skill "Blaze is activated, the host gets a 20% increase boost in speed and agility.skill duration 60 minutes. Energy consumed by skill ,none. Number of activation times per day, Infinity.

3. Energy drain Lv 01. skill description. this skill allows the user to drain energy from the victim with each successful hit. the drained energy can be used to refill users' lost energy. skill duration 30 seconds.

4. Blood poison. skill description: This skill allows the user to effectively use blood poisoning to damage her victims during battle.

Host is advised to grow stronger in order to unlock more skills.

Standing up, Elena opened the door.

"Can we come in?" Lydia and Emiera asked. With them were three blood flasks.

Elena opened the door wide for them to enter. Emiera offered her one of the flasks.

"Is there anything I can help you both with?" She asked. [Scratching the back of her head, Lydia responded] Ah, yes! We heard some of the participants saying our next trial would be combat related, and we would need to pair up in teems. Seeing how you did so well in the previous trial, I was wondering if you could join our team.

"Hnm, I prefer to work on my own," she responded nonchalantly."

Seeing how unbothered elena was, emiera took it upon herself to convince her.

" if what the other participants are saying is correct, then I'm sorry, you would be left with no other option than to work with others in the next trial.what better team would there be than for you to team up with someone you're already acquainted with." Saying this, Emiera turned to look at Lydia.

[Sigh] "Fine, if things turn out to be as you both have said, then we can work together as a team. Until then, I would love to get my rest.

With this , the girls left Elena's room.

The girls couldn't help but wonder what exactly was wrong with Elena. The truth was, after killing so many goblin, something has snapped inside of her.

Currently she sat down on her bed, channelling her vampire energy, she was already In the second stage of the "ordinary vampire rank" she wanted to channel her vampire energy more before her evolution which was due once she get to level 10.

4 hours later

[Attention! Attention!]

All participants are to report to the arena in 10 minutes' time. The participants began making their way over to the arena.

[chatter!. chatter!.]

9 minutes after the announcement, the hall was already filled with all the participants. Elena was sitting in between Lydia and Emiera as they listened to the instructions for the next trial.

"Welcome to the combat trial. My name is Ray, and I will be your combat instructor for the upcoming year. For the combat trial, the rules are quite easy. Each participant would be paired with another, the first participant to knock out the other wins. If a participant is kicked off the arena stage, the last participant standing wins.

The use of abilities is not prohibited, but weapons are not allowed. To calculate the damage power behind each attacks all of you would be required to wear a special bracelet. This would be used to calculate your total score as well .Good luck!."

"it seems we won't be pairing up as a team afterall." Elena said to Lydia and Emiera. both of their faces was red with embarrassment at this point.

The students were being called into the arena stage 2 at a time. The first participants to enter the stage were, Arwin and a vampire boy [named uti] he could harden any part of his body at will.

As soon as the sound went off for them to start the match, uti took a several quick pace forward, sending out vampire energy the size of a fist from both hands, rushing in head on she sent out her own vampire energy.

when both energy came in contact, Arwin',s energy cancelled out that of Uti's, and kept pushing forward in a fast pace towards Uti's chest.

Seeing this, uti quickly hardened his chest area, which was now covered with a silver glow. The attack made contact with his chest and simply did nothing.

Arwin didn't wait, as she rushed in with different attacks, sending out a palm strike she aimed her attack at Uti's head, the one place she was sure he wouldn't be able to harden.

Leaning backwards, uti hardened his right foot using it to send a counter attack of his own. This attack catapulted Arwin and sent her flying backwards, she collided with the invisible barrier that was surrounding the stage

A smug look could be seen in Uti's face,he was quite confident because of the number that was being displayed currently on his bracelet. He knew the attack he had just delivered was a great one.

Seeing the smug look on his face, Arwin decided to go all out. First, she covered her entire body with her red vampiric energy to protect her from incoming attacks.

Also, knowing she wouldn't be able to deal any physical damage on Uti, based on his abilities, she concentrated on attacking him from within.

Moving her hands in the direction of Uti, she activated her "blood manipulation" ability. Within a few seconds, blood could be seen pouring out from all openings in Utis' body, from his eyes,ears,pores , mouth, and even his nose.

The spectating students were in awe,as many of them had only heard tales of vampire magi who could manipulate blood.

The internal pain she was inflicting on Uti was far worse than death itself.

She had created various blade like shapes with the blood inside Uti's body, thereby penetrating him with the blood blades from the inside out.

Hardening is body parts right now would be a waste of time.

Whatever attack Arwin was using was tearing Utis inside to shreds.

Arwin then closed the gap between the both of them. With her blood manipulation, she raised Uti several feet above the ground.

she began spinning him in a circular motion with immense force, generating a crazy amount of wind energy. After spinning him around for a while ,she hauled him toward the invisible barrier.

As soon as Uti's body collided with the barrier, the arena stage quaked due to the sheer force behind her attack. Falling to the ground, a large dent was made on the floor.

Using the blood on the floor she created a giant sickle like blade , she was moving in to finish him off completely, with intense blood lost in her eyes, uti had already passed out cold on the floor, but arwin was bent on attacking him still.

"Remind me not to get on her bad side." A participant said to his friend after seeing arwin's brutality.

Seeing this, the instructor sounded the alarm before announcing Arwin as the winner.

A healing team was then sent into the arena stage to take Uti out for treatment.

A few seconds later, the dent on the floor was no longer visible. This was possible due to the use of regenerating crystals. These crystals were used to make repears speadily.

The next participants were then called into the arena.
