Ventus stopped assuming an offensive position and just stared at me with an "Oh really" look in her eyes.

I just countered with a mischievous grin.

Before she could even hope to do anything, I uttered a single command.

"SB."

At my request, he immediately disengaged his [Everlasting] skill. With a force unlike any he has displayed before, he shot himself forward towards the two remaining soldiers. The echos of his launch were magnified by the acoustics of the cave. It was a deafening song that relentlessly assaulted our ears.

I had not expected SB to be as strong as he was. Because of my miscalculation, he ended up using my body as a launch pad and I was thrown backwards due to the unexpected force.

At a moments notice I found myself rolling and rolling on the ground. Both the momentum and shame of this continued until a pile of monster corpses was generous enough to stop me from making impact against the wall.
