12. Regeneration

Adelle opened the window and let the sun go into her room. Books containing a mantra that was wet last night must be dried in the sun. Although, She was not sure his writings could still be read. After finishing drying books, She arranged a messy chair and reading table due to rune.

When Adelle was busy mopping the floor, the door to the room was tapped slowly. She sighed while storing a mop in the corner of the room. She thought that it was Rune. That was Fremont.

Adelle immediately closed the door in a panic. She paced with her hand holding your chin. A few seconds later, the door was knocked back and making her shocked. After adjusting his breath, She opened the door and immediately came out.

"Sorry, I was heating water. So, I had to turn off the stove first," Adelle said as he closed the door.

Adelle did not let Fremont look into his room. Fremont did not show a suspicious sign. After all, she has also forbidden people from entering or looking at her room, except Rune, which should not be prohibited.

"Have you got an answer to my question last night?" asked Fremont curiously.

Adelle gave a pause before answering. "I haven't had time to find out that, Fremont. I think you can wait until I come to you to tell you about it."

"Alright. I'm just curious and almost can't sleep all night. But, this morning, I have to keep going to the training ground," Fremont said, yawning. Then, he moved from there.

Adelle sighed in relief. She returned to her room. Fremont is always that relaxed in dealing with a problem. But, Fremont is also very closed even though it looks cheerful outside.

Adelle opened the crystal ball covered with a green cloth. She also looked at the mirror. Fremont went to the training ground and mingled with the wolf people who had arrived first.

Adelle turned to the door and panicked. Rune smiled when he approached while taking a look at the mirror. "Are you curious about Fremont?" Rune asked, tapping his eyes.

Adelle glared at Rune. "I'm indeed curious, but not as you think!" Adelle said while closing the crystal ball.

"Whatever. You're free to like anyone. I won't prevent you," Rune said, laughing amused. He turned his gaze to Velisa's body. "When did She wake up?"

Adelle took her wand, then swung it at Velisa's body. She can see some things that Rune can not see. Everything is shaped like abstract lines formed from blue smoke. "Even though it has recovered, her body still has to experience adjustments. The organs in the body that have died still need time to function as before," said Adelle.

"Can I see Her open her eyes today?" Rune asked without turning his face from Velisa's face.

"I don't know. Are you going to wait for her all day here?" Adelle's sarcasm.

Rune shook his head with a smile. "No. I have to go to the training ground to give some instructions."

"You're here just to see Her, even for a moment, huh?" He muttered after Rune came out of her room. After that, She swung her wand at the dried books. The books also floated towards the shelf and were neatly arranged as before.

After that, Adelle swung her wand at the door until a yellow magic smoke appeared, which prevented people from outside from entering the room. She covered the crystal ball again with a cloth, and the mirror turned dark. "I don't need to suspect Fremont," she muttered as she entered the bathroom.

In the residential area, which is also a place for buying and selling goods and services, Alexa is still a wolf and continues to growl. She was locked in a room with iron doors by someone who took care of her during her ear treatment, namely Sammy, the well-known healer in Wolfes Village.

Sammy walked into the room carrying a bucket of potions. After opening the door, he immediately doused Alexa with the liquid. The woman began to calm down and slowly turned into an ordinary human. Alexa's consciousness reappeared.

Alexa looked at Sammy with a sad face. "Sam, what has happened to my body? Could it be because of the medication I'm on?"

Alexa has been undergoing treatment for her ear for several months. It is not easy to restore his hearing function. Although there was little chance of a full recovery, at least she had to try. Even so, the potions given to her had side effects.

"This has nothing to do with the medication," said Sammy, throwing the bucket everywhere.

Alexa stood up slowly while looking at the face of an adult man in front of her. "Then why am I so out of control? I can always control myself in any situation. Before, I wasn't even tempted to smell human blood even though I liked their flesh."

"Last night, maybe something happened that made you suddenly like that," said Sammy thoughtfully. Then, he looked at Alexa with a severe face. "You know more about werewolves."

Sammy is just an ordinary human who gives treatment to werewolves secretly. He never delved deeper into werewolves, other than about the regeneration of werewolves' bodies. Last night, he was surprised when Alexa suddenly whimpered in pain. Luckily, he quickly got Alexa into the iron-door room before the woman changed form.

"May I go home today?" asked Alexa with a pleading look. She had thought about what might have happened. "The entire nation of wolves may experience that big problem."

Sammy looked at Alexa worriedly. "Your treatment is almost finished. If you go home now, then you should--"

"I'll start over from the beginning," Alexa cut in. She had also thought about the risks if she made that decision.

"Alexa, are you kidding me?" asked Sammy in disbelief. Alexa immediately shook her head.

"I'm serious, Sam. Maybe I'll bother you again when I get back later," Alexa said as she left the room with the iron door.

"Be careful on the road," said Sammy in a low voice. He was silent where he stood, staring at the back of Alexa, who disappeared behind the door.
