Douluo Dalu: Path of Immortal.

Well, the name and setting are more or less what this fan-fic is about. A man of about twenty got reincarnated in Douluo story, the same age as Tang San. The story is mostly original and I changed some facts from canon on purpose. MC is OP, but he will have his own share of OP enemies that were never present in canon. I made the universe way broader in some sense just for that. Note: this story is already 100k words long. When I finish posting them, it will go on temporary hiatus, as I won't write it until another fanfic on witcher world is finished. Writing is my hobby and I don't plan to stop as it is rather easy and entertaining for me.

Rage with no Outlet.

Three days. It took them three days of the never-ending race to get to Nuoding City.

They tore the sky with astonishing speed and didn't care about anything, directly landing on the stone tiles of Nuoding academy. Not just Aiden, Liu Erlong too, and both their auras full of scorching rage descended like a tidal wave.

"NA'ER!" - he screamed magnifying sound by dragon sword aura and platinum might.

It alerted not only students but teachers of the primary academy, after all, none of them is capable enough to fight either of them. Aiden's battle power was just insane, and Liu Erlong was way stronger than her rank too. Just her killing intent was enough to freeze people around with fright.

"What is going on? What idiot dares to call Queen Liena like that again?" - this outburst puzzled students as they gathered only to see a youth with shining platinum eyes hovering in the sky using real wings. They were his external spirit bone – Storm Wings.

By his side on the ground stood a woman, currently exuding an aura of darkness and rage.

Aiden shifted in the sky, appearing in front of a talkative youth and clenched his throat.

"Where is Na'er?" - he asked with a cold voice, but one can feel genuine killing intent deep within.

"I... I... senior... I don't know... her dorm is there."

Aiden just threw him on the stone floor of the plaza and went in the direction the boy pointed out. Just as he was about to smash the door, it opened on itself revealing three people with the looks of shock, guilt, and grief. One didn't need to be a genius to understand who they are and why the looks.

"Where is Na'er?" - same emotionless question.

Yu Xiaogang felt astonishment well up in him, but reacted fast and just like counterparty knew who came for them.

"Inside." - he hanged his head low with a severe feeling of shame.

"Aunt Erlong... I want to be alone."

She only nodded, staring right into the face of her husband with a complex hurricane of emotions.

Aiden didn't pay attention, he only entered a pavilion and went up. There she was, as if just sleeping with cracks all over the body.

Right here and now the heart of Aiden was dying with her. He walked up to her resting place with unstable steps and fell down on his knees, taking her ice-cold hand.

"Na'er... it is a joke, right?" - he asked with slight hysteria in the voice. He felt powerless. He imagined Na'er will just turn around and gaze at him with a pure and warm smile on the face and demand stir-fried chicken wings. If that can bring her back he was willing to cook her a planet-sized basket...

"I missed you every second, I wanted to see you again, return you a smile, experience your pranks once more..." - he clenched his teeth, looking at her face and touching it with a trembling hand. - "What will I do without you... tell me... what can I do?"

He wailed like a wounded animal, gasping for breath. It took him half an hour to pour out all the pent up pain and grief.

"Na'er, I learned zither, like you asked, you promised to dance for me, remember?" - he sat by her side, taking out a comb and cared for her hair. Albeit they became dry and developed split ends. With every move couple of hairs will remain on the comb causing his heart to tremble, but he continued to tend to her head with an empty look. - "You didn't take care of your hair like usual."

Halfway through four people entered and stood there rooted on the spot. They were Tang San who now had mixed emotions on his face, Xiao Wu covering her lips and silently crying, Yu Xiaogang with loss and guilt is written all over his face and stone-cold Liu Erlong with killing intent roiling white-hot in her gaze.

The latter never saw Aiden like that. He was hiding pain and stories but never was like he is today. What she saw now is a little boy wounded with scars on his heart that were bleeding all over. It was just unbearable to see him like that.

Finally, when all was said and done, he leaned forward and kissed her forehead.

"You will always be my lovely little sister. Let's go, Na'er. I will take you away. I remember the place you loved. You will rest there."

Aiden stood up and made a very long uneven breath, taking her in his arms with utmost care.

"You lost weight without me. Looks like I spoiled you with my food too much." - he smiled at her sadly, embracing as tight as he can afford to be with her now fragile figure. - "I will do it alone. As for you..." - Aiden directed his gaze to Yu Xiaogang. It was heavy, like a mountain. - "Be prepared to give me some answers."

With that, Aiden walked out, spread his wings, and flew off.

He reached a hilltop after half a day of the flight. Here they first time have a barbecue and she tasted chicken wings. A beautiful place with the light moving closer and waiting to share its warmth. Aiden buried her here, creating a crystal tombstone. He then covered the vicinity with natural formations to preserve cleanliness and warm atmosphere even during winter.

Na'er liked warm weather.

"Rest in peace, my lovely Na'er." - he whispered again, feeling pain in the heart that just refused to fade and headed back. Now he has one thing on his mind. And that is how many people he has to kill today to dull his senses.

* * *

Ten days after Na'er died. Aiden.

He spent nearly a week trying to find leads on the murderers but couldn't do a thing. It all was cleaned up perfectly. No hard evidence, no witnesses, no residual aura traces, nothing. Even Nexus was powerless with his fourth ring dragon sense skill.

This alone pointed at very few people. Even an idiot without a brain can guess that Spirit Hall or Beat Taming Sect were involved one way or another. But he didn't know where to start searching.

'Fine. I need time and power. Not now, but one day either I or people I will recruit will find who did this. And at that time they will all die.'

And now he came back for some answers.

Yu Xiaogang was suspended in the air by a youth who squeezed his throat under the gazes of several people.

"So, do you mean that you took her to the forest and didn't even bother to look after her? And she died alone with you knowing nothing and finding nothing?" - raged Aiden uncontrollably. - "Now give me at least one reason not to kill you!"

"I...I don't have one." - he said with difficulty. Liu Erlong was standing there not knowing whom to choose – Aiden who basically became her unofficial adopted son or Yu Xiaogang – runaway husband.

"Let him go." - Tang San on the contrary was clear of his standing. Although he couldn't help but empathize with Aiden, if given a choice he will take the side of a master instead of someone he saw once.

"If you dare talk to me that way again, I will really kill all of you!" - Aiden said with a bone-chilling voice. Dragon Sword Aura poured out like an avalanche and pressed heavily on them, making it hard to breathe and bringing the pain.

He directed the brunt of it at Tang San, infused with the spirit power of his cultivation base, and slammed him into the wall across the room.

"That is a warning. Shut your mouth this instant." - his gaze was frigid with rage and barely controllable killing intent, as he looked at the boy. A trail of blood was seen on his face, escaping the corner of his mouth.

He never expected excuses or apology, but at least they should have known who killed her. They should have figured that out before going back! They should at least do that much, right?

"Aiden..." - sounded the girlish voice. She looked at him without even a glimpse of anger. There was only compassion and understanding. - "Big sis wouldn't want this. She wouldn't want to see you like this."

That was a dirty move.

A forbidden emotional strike in front of which he shivered, not because she used her name here, but because she was absolutely right.

"Fuck!" - he screamed and threw Xiaogang to the sofa, directly plummeting to the chair with an exhausted look.

Aiden finally sighed and let it go. Killing people here is absolutely foolish. They were her friends and Yu Xiaogang her teacher.

And knowing Na'er strength, it would only add dead bodies if they were there. They literally could do nothing to save her and weren't at fault.

Gazes of the trio softened. After a week of interaction with Aiden, all of them knew that he wasn't bad at heart... Tang San particularly thought he himself will go insane if Xiao Wu suddenly died like Na'er.

So no shit about the marvelous hero with plot armor as thick as a Great Wall killing the two attackers with his cultivation after some power-up super sayan shit.

Tilted Douluo knew how to clean up after themselves.
