One With The Fist

One month passed by. Nothing changed, Li Wei still continued to practiced his Soul Fist trying to advance his soul ring from white 10 year spirit ring into a yellow 100 year spirit ring and become one with the fist.

Becoming one with the fist was one level above the foundation of fists because it required the practitioner to be able to connect each punches to the next one. Leaving no gap for possible counterattacks and making the defense as tight as possible. In the foundation of the fist, practitioner would not be trouble anymore by their stances in attacking with their body, however becoming one with the fist would enable the practitioner's punches to become like the flowing water, one punch followed quickly by the other one, becoming as flexible as possible in the face of the enemies, not restricted by the stances anymore.

For this level, training alone would be as effective as the foundation level. Luckily, Li Wei's father was rather enthusiastic in helping him training his Soul Fist. Hence, the two father and son duo had frequently sparing in the backyard of their home. Of course, his father would restrict his soul power, but as Li Wei improved his father increased the pressure imposed on Li Wei, making his training as hard as possible. After all, if the training was easy, surely the training would become ineffective anymore.

One month passed by rather quickly. His white 10 year spirit ring is tinted in yellow as days passed by. Right now, only a small spot of white color could be seen in his first soul ring. Li Wei believed he would achieve a breakthrough during that day's training session.

His father and him had already standing up, facing each other in a serious manner. His father quickly rushed toward Li Wei and threw a simple jab. It looked simple in Li Wei's eyes, however as he soon tried to dodge them, he would instinctively felt the counterattacks that would be released by his father. A simple jab that was released by his father was the accumulation of his father experience of his life. If he was not skillful, surely he would become one of the high-ranked spirit master in this world. Just the question of his parents' exact level made him confused as he could not sense anything at all? And for some reason his parent hide the truth from him.

Their exchange continued as usual with Li Wei passively defended against his father blurry attack. The pressure was so immerse, however his will continued to stand proud as he tried to figure any possible attack to be made.

At the next moment, a bell like sound could be heard by him. Everything in sight becoming clearer and slower, his counterattack began with unpredictable manner which totally surprised his father. Without any notice, his soul ring appeared and began transforming into a whole yellow 100 year spirit ring. Finally, he was able to achieve this level only after one month. His experience in his previous world accumulated and added to this vast new world which widened his view of the world, made it possible to breakthrough in one month time.

The breakthrough was completed safely as predicted as his father guarding against any external influence. He was proud of his son's progress. However, his smile also contained a slight of sorrow. 'It's time.'
