24- The feud between friends

half of an hour passed since James was left them in the back seat and went toward the front seats

everyone was talking and laughing except one girl...Wendy. she didn't try to start a conversation cause she realized that even she somehow convinced herself to socialize with others, there was no single person that wanted to talk with her. she was taking a glance at the back every time at maggy as if she were blaming her for everything.

Maggy wanted to say something but she was struggling hard to explain things that she has to say to Don, about their relationship but finally, she made her mind and broke the silence between them as she stops the song playing on Dons cell phone

Don glances at her leaning on the window beside him

" Look... I am sorry. I mean it's..." but again she takes a huge pause " I have to tell you something... about that night.. you proposed me and ... "

Don instantly avert his gaze as he was trying to figure out what to say after his behavior but before he could speak anything else Maggy asked something in a lower voice

" Before I let you know my answer I wanted to...Can you meet me tomorrow in front of the city hospital " She says after pausing

Don looks at her for a few moments and finally agreed to her request, she gave a smile after his response...

Later in the evening at the Dons house

Don was laying on His bed while thinking about Maggy, why she wanted to meet me in front of the city hospital? is she live there? or like another girl's name... what her name...the blue-haired girl I forgot her name.. she also from some big family and wanted me to teach a lesson... Who cares it was not like I am going there tomorrow.

" Turn down the fucking volume " Ray lets out angrily, he was trying to sleep peacefully but the Loud noise of tv was breaking his sleep.

Tyson signs before turning the volume down, Don looks at them and again at the TV as he saw a familiar face on the news. his heart started beating fast. it' was a Scarlett

Don averted his gaze from Tv but no matter what he does to prevent him from avoiding himself from seeing her face he failed miserably.. so he decided to watch the news... when he observed the background his eyes widen in shock.

Scarlett was reporting in the middle of the forest close to a river edge, while a big dead snake was lying beside her. He sat up instantly and gestures Tyson to raise a volume a little a bit

When Tyson raised the volume Ray shouted turning to the Tv. " WtF-" but when his gaze fell on the Tv his mood changed swiftly, now he was also watching TV with interest...

The camera followed Scarlett's gaze as a Large snake appeared on the TV screen

Don's body tensed up while staring at the TV carefully but fortunately, Scarlett didn't mention his name nor showed His face to everyone. Don lets out a sigh of relief after confirming everything was right.

Bit one thing began bugging him, why the news was telecasting this now when this incident happened long ago, is Scarlett purposely didn't wanted to reveal this at that time? if yes then why? why did she decide to show it now? lots of questions come to his mind but he unable to understand what was going on...

" Wow I didn't know that you have had a crush on Scarlett " Tyson chucked after seeing Don looking at her without Blinking his eyes

Don whirls toward him but didn't say anything until his gaze falls on Ray. Ray was looking at Don intensely...

" what are you looking at "

" Why are you so tensed up " Ray instantly responded to Dons question

Tyson looks at them both in confusion as he was trying to figure out what the hell was going on between them

" Why do you care " Don avert his gaze as if he wasn't interested in further conversation but Ray intending to continue this conversation.

" You are hiding something "

" Everyone has their secrets "

" certainly, but why she... there are lots of girls out there but why are you only interested in her "

Don glares at him in a serious gaze like Ray were Crossing his line but Ray doesn't want to stop here as he sat up from the bed. Now both of them standing face to face with each other

" Tell me, Don, what are you?"

Don couldn't able answer after Ray questioned him, Ray has been always too cautious around Don as if he never trusted him and his question was made it clear that Ray has some doubts related to Dons identity

" I am a God ... "

Smirk formed on Ray's face, He thought Don was saying something unrelated to hide his identity, however, deep down Ray guy feeling saying that Don was hiding his powers from everyone else but the main question was, Why...

" Stop bluffing...and tell me who you are ...?"

Tyson steps between them as he tried to calm down the situation

" Ray stop it, we are Friends, and besides that, He is an F rank hero, Without any background -"

" he is hiding his strength, You Moron "

As ray says this both of them surprised, Tyson, turn back at Don in confusion " is that true? "

" like I guessed you have no idea " Ray smiled Glancing at Don " When you have had put your hands on the magic crystal, it cracked isn't it?"

Don stayed silent for few moments but Tysons eyes were widening after the silent confirmation by Don

"So you knew from the start...yeah it had broken down because of me, but I am not hiding my strength and if you want evidence then Take yourself as proof that you are still alive in front of me "

Ray refused to believe his words as he thought that he had to forcefully made Don reveal his powers

" Dude you are awesome... " Joyful expression tempered on Tysons face, Both Don and Ray couldn't believe is this guy for real. He was acting all against the situation here however Tyson's words soften the Atmosphere around them.

" Stay away from me, " Don back away avoiding Tysons hug. Tyson tried until he could finally hug him, Ray about to leave but stops abruptly

" I have some advice for you, stay away from her or you will be dead in no time "

Don and Tyson look at him

" Death is merely a misconception for me at least, but be aware where you will go after you Die "

Ray stops for a moment after hearing his words before he leaves. Tyson also steps back as he saw everything was normal for now...

Don decided to call it a night as he made up his mind to meet Maggy tomorrow, after this incident he wanted to forget everything.

Tyson moved to near a window smiling looking out towards the moon " interesting... "
