It was around twelve or twelve-thirty in the evening, I couldn't tell since my alarm clock was down and I had just plugged my phone in (typically I set it in the living room, that way I don't try to play it all night long). Maybe it was somewhere in between, but I'll never be too certain about that.

Since I work an office job I often check my emails right before I go to sleep - just incase my employer (boss) or any of my coworkers decided to send me an important email regarding work ethics. But you see the thing is, I have this really long and odd email name, which only a handful people know (my parents, my son, a few of my friends, my coworkers and boss). It starts out with numbers, following with my last name, and then what city I live in.

It's not surprising for me to come along change.org or spam mail in my inbox - since basically everyone gets that kind of stuff. One email address seemed to had stuck out - I could vaguely make out even what language it was in (Danish or something along those lines). For some odd reason it was all in lowercase besides the last three letters "LOF".

Sorry to say, my curiosity had peaked the best in me and being the nosy rat I am - I clicked it. Hoping to find some sort of person's message accidentally sent to the wrong person. Maybe they had hit the wrong letter, or perhaps they were simply tired from a long day. I had clicked at a random part of my screen (that way I could use the center thing on a mouse to scroll down). The message spanned about three pages worth of writing, consisting of words and their different meanings.

When I hit the bottom though, after having to look at an alphabetical list of foreign words (not all of them, obviously) - oddly enough something in English was in there. This is just part of the first sentence, "Hi __, I've heard you've been enjoying the roses that keep ending up at your front door,". Scarily enough the person did have a point, I had been getting roses anonymously at my doorstep every so often. These began showing up about two months beforehand to this situation.

Pondering on what they said, I grabbed my water bottle from beside me on the floor. How did they know? I kept asking myself, it's not like I'd given them my personal information. Continuing to scroll down there were bits of broken English now. "Hopefully you... like? Enjoy it? I been seeing from far away and noticing your faint prettiness. Please accept my offering,"

What the fuck did they just say? Honestly at that point I was stuck in the moment before slowly closing my computer. Should I just move out of this apartment? Yeah, no I thought another week would be good to go by - just in case I get anymore emails from this being (if that's what you'd even call them). Another week goes by and no more emails - I think I'm free, just to be sure though I created a new email account, which is even longer

Ever since the email change, I've been monitoring what comes in and out carefully - making sure they aren't back. It's been roughly two months since the incident and I haven't heard another peep from them, thank god.
