"If you have no appetite, drink some soup." William Griffith said in a heavy voice, filling a bowl with the thick soup from the thermos with a spoon.
Chloe Turner stood still, clutching the can of coffee and silently watching him.
After filling the bowl with soup, William lifted his head and said, "Drink it while it's hot."
Feeling the chill in her hand, Chloe still didn't move. It was as if she hadn't heard him speak or was hesitating about something. The tall figure in front of her couldn't be brushed away from her sight. Seeing her dazed, William asked again, "What are you standing there for?"
Only then did Chloe come back to her senses and walked towards him. William pulled the chair out for her, and she sat down. The bowl of soup on the dining table, a refreshing pig liver soup, had no fishy taste which suddenly stimulated her appetite. She picked up the spoon, took a sip, and found it delicious indeed. "The soup is very good. Where did you buy it?"
