Amidst the murmers, a holographic figure materialized with a message that cut through the tension. "The briefing is over," it declared, commanding attention. "Everyone proceed to the supply division where you will be provided with your starter supplements and weapons. As for the weapon type, you can choose your preferences through your Holofeed. Session Dismissed." With those words, the hologram dissipated, leaving the air buzzing with anticipation.

As the recruits filed out of the meeting room, Zac lingered, catching Jay's eye. "Ready?" he asked.

A nod from Jay, and the duo made their way out. The corridor led them to a room where the squadron's members were already gathered. Corporal Shane, a stern figure, took notice as they approached.

"Recruits, gather up!" he commanded, prompting the newbies to form two neat rows.
