Divine Trinity Quest: Into the Server's Edge

In the world of Shannia, the holders of the powerful Divine Trinity Frames waged a catastrophic war against each other. The aftermath of their battle sparked a quest to obtain these fabled relics. For centuries, Frame Users have raced to the Edge of the Server, vying to claim the Frames and bend reality to their will. But the quest is treacherous, and only the strongest will survive to claim victory. Will you be the one to conquer the Divine Trinity Quest and rewrite the fate of Shannia? ————— ⚠️ MC's POV blurb: “Find me at the edge of the Server, Kai,” were the last words my mother before she disappeared. Then I was fooled and got stuck in a game called "Shannia" where 100 years is a measly 1 hour in the real world. Alice—the girl who introduced me to this game told me I will die in real life if I die here. I don't fully believe her. However, I won't take a chance. I will see everything through until I learn the truth. That changed when she told me about the Divine Trinity Quest by going to the server's edge. I feel. . . somehow, I could discover my past by completing this quest. And maybe, hopefully, I will find my mother there. On the Roof

It's as if I'm diving into the deep waters, I hold my breath, jumping off the tower. The castle roof sloped steeply. To avoid slipping, with my Shadowclutch and claws, I latch onto it. A few tiles slip and break but I succeed not falling. I hope they won't notice. Further up, I climb until I reach the ridge. Then carefully walk to the end of it. I have to leap to get to the next roof.

I'm hesitant because I'm not sure if I could make it. If I leap too strong, I will smash through it and fall. The same goes for leaping too weak. I will slip to my death. *Sigh* Here goes nothing. Yargh!

My leap is just right. But, I'm slipping! No, no, no! My Shadowclutch and claws can't save me! Crap! I fall from that roof and everything is so slow at that moment. I orient myself to face downwards, that's when I see a chance to survive OR DIE!! I'm about to be impaled by a spire on top of a pointy roof!

To avoid, I transform into my Angelus Frame and flap my little wings. My body barely misses its tip and I am quick to grab onto it, preventing my fall. It bends considerably. Thank goodness, I'm saved.

*Zap*

Argh! A bolt of lightning struck me! My chest hurts so bad! That felt like a heart attack! Shit!

I was lucky that the electric shock kept my grip on the pole or else I would've fallen into the fiery chasm below. Steam is rising, created by the falling rain meeting the lava. This just makes the storm worse. More vapor means more thunderclouds.

This was easier in my head. Now I'm leagues away from the tower. How the hell am I going to get up there? Maybe I'll get something from upgrading a few skills. In the Angelus Frame, there is a branch that upgrades the wings. Luckily, I have upgrade points left. Leaving some was a good choice. I upgrade the wings by two levels. My wings became twice as big.

Woah! Dammit, I'm surprised by its strength. I think this is enough to lift me. And it is! I don't even need to hang onto the pole! But elevating is so hard! I need to upgrade it further later.

At last, I'm clinging onto the roof I slipped from. Carefully now, I use my claws and Shadowclutch to climb up. Minutes later, I arrive at the top, exhausted. But it's not over. I still have to climb the tower unseen.

Using the storm as cover, I climb up quietly along the walls of the tower. The flashes of lightning could expose me to the guards on the other towers. But I learned the skill, "Active Camouflage". What it does is copy the colors around me as a chameleon would do. It makes me invisible from far away. What a handy cheap skill.

It is not a moment longer that I reach the top and take a peek. There are guards here. Now, how am I going to put this bomb without getting caught? I can't just show up as their fellow guard behind them and say, "Hey! The marshal wants all of us to be checked. We have an impostor among us!"

Amogus, my ass. I may be dumb but not that dumb. I need a little distraction. Well, I wish lightning will strike at them but I can't rely on that. All I can rely on is myself and what I can do.

I have never tried this nor sure how strong it is, but here goes nothing. With my Shadowclutch, I punch the side of the tower below me and invade the inside. The guards are shaken.

"What was that?!" one of them exclaims. I go further extending my shadows until they show up from the staircase.

"Intruder!" they cry.

To make them leave their posts, I taunt them with a few strikes then slowly retreat the shadows down the staircase.

"We will eat you!"

"You have nowhere to go!"

They took the bait and that's my chance to hide the Light Bomb. It's done! From the tower, I leap and dive as an Angelus. Then with my upgraded wings, I land softly on a roof without anyone noticing.

I quietly climb near a strange window that lets out violet light that connects to the Darken Stones above. I enter and find myself in a dark hallway. The violet light is continuing further inside. I don't get why this hallway is so poorly kept although they have hundreds of maids. The trail I am making on the dusty ground says that no one has been here for a long time. Probably thousands of years. This is a good place to hide but I have to tell Algron that I'm done. He should be in his coffin. The problem is that I don't know where exactly. Do I have to check every coffin and say, "Knock knock, Algron, are you there?" I don't think so.

Well, his coffin should be big, right? So far, he's the biggest guy in this castle right after the marshal. That guy was humongous! Don't wanna mess with him.

Then I become wary as I see the violet light sourcing from the room in the distance. I sneak my way there and take a peek. There is no one here but the violet ethereal ray of violet light floating in the air. I'm curious so I enter and seek out where it's coming from. It seems to be coming from the two holes on the stone wall. I look through them and I'm shocked by what I'm seeing.

Atasaias, praying for me! Uh. . . no, I think I'm. . . seeing through the statue of Constantine!

I realize something. . .

All that time, we were praying and worshipping to feed Carmilla's power. So that was the purpose of all of that. The more they worship her, the more she becomes strong. Over time she'll get stronger and stronger! I have to tell Algron now!

So, I run out of the room, hoping for a way to get back inside. I don't know this place. The Frame memories have not discovered this place yet. I wonder why. Later, I find myself at a dead end.

Wait, this can't be it?

I touch the wall and feel a small ridge that is shaped like a closed door. A little push opens it a little. Looking through the small slit, it seems that it leads to another dark room. I open it a little further then step in. I'm in a very very large room.

*Thud*

The door closes behind me. It blends well with the wall. There is no door knob or some sort so I can't find a way to open it anymore.

*Sniff*

Hmm. . . I smell Nisha's scent. It is very strong. It is coming from there. . . I follow it until I see a bed. It is relatively large. The scent is stronger as I get nearer. I lean forward, nearing my nose on the sheets. Yup, Nisha has been here. But where is this place? Her bedroom?

*Scuffle*

I'm startled.

I just noticed that there is someone under the sheets, and Nisha's scent isn't the only scent I smell. The other scent is a strong surge of flowers. Wait a minute. . . I know this scent.

*Gulp*

Slowly walking back, I'm disturbed by what I just realized. That large bed and this large room. . . is the room of Carmilla!
