chapter 4

After bidding her farewell to the granny Lynn I sighed and walked back to my room to eat some food, drink some water and made my way to the river. As I have my memories of other life I can easily catch fishes by myself .

As My cave is near to the river, so I can get their quickly before the sun rises high at top of my head. As I made my way to the river I can see scrutinizing eyes from others and they are avoiding me like a plague , haah.. i scoffed at their behaviour just because I am an infertile female they are treating me like I am some beast well technically I am beast, well I am still a freaking female and they are treating me like I am a feral .

All this start happening when I was declared as infertile and when my dad died rumours started circulating that I was an evil entity and bring harm to those near me , after that even my mother disowned me and as my family also don't defend me from those rumours ,they were sure that I bring bad luck to those near me. Well none of those matters now

After I reach river I smell a refreshing scent of grass and wet sand , cool airs were blowing with rustling sound of river where many fishes were swimming happily like a free spirit all those scene calm my mind as I also wanted to be free from all those shackles but I am still a weak female without any males it's very dangerous for single me to go out , as I was happily humming a song but good mood was riuned by an univited person Sophia .

Sophia was village heads lone daughter so she was always pampered by her family from childhood . She is a fox female so she is quite beautiful with long silver hair and blue eyes with jade like skin . She looks so soft as if even a small touch will hurt her . As we both were born in same year we were always compared to each other by villagers for our beauty but after I was deemed as infertile, it's like I was out of this nonexistent competition and Sophia became winner . So she was always proud of it and make unnecessary remarks at me everytime she sees me . After we both became adult I was not chosen as mate by any male while she was sorrounded by them and she chose two mates at time after that I didn't meet her as I lived at the edge of the village where very few females come .

After that I hear from granny that she have five mates now and she also have a new mate from city so she will go there to live .

While I was thinking ,Sophia noticed that I didn't pay attention to her which enrarged her so she remarked " Elena how does it feel as to not be chosen by males even after a year of becoming adult " she started laughing as this was some joke and pointed to her belly and said " well I am pregnant with my first cubs and I am quite happy so I will not ruin my mood by talking to you" after finished speaking she turned around and left with her mates.

'Is she crazy' I thought as I watched her just came and leave . Ahhh.. forget it Elena I have my memories so I will not only stick to take mates and to bear cubs , I will live a greater and better life for both my previous and this life , after I comforted myself with those words I started focusing on finding vines to make net to catch fishes.while I also started drooling thinking about the taste of various fish dishes to make from them well i also have to find various spices, vegetable and to buy salt at next tranding in the village which will happen half a month later , their are so much to do so I can't keep thinking about those annoying people.
