"It's her." Xyrus muttered with a very complicated expression on his face.
Kaley didn't say anything and just watched all of his every move, thinking that Xyrus would give in and interfere with the past.
However, contrary to what she thought, Xyrus stayed root in his place and didn't move an inch, as he watched his mother's supposed murderer guide her out of the room.
With a clenched fist, Xyrus asked Kaley.
"Should we follow them?" At the same time, he looked at his dead body being carried away by the staffs.
"Yes. Let's go and follow. Though make sure you stay a few feet away from her, we never know on whether she'll sense us or not. I specialize in Time not soul, so I can't hide our presences that deep." Kaley said as she flew and followed his mom being led by her murdered to her death.
As they follow them, while keeping a distance. They saw her interact with a few individuals before leading his mother to an empty room.
They also noticed that during their way there, nobody stopped them or even noticed their presence, as if they were nothing but ghosts.
"H-Hannah? What are we doing here?" His mother, wiped the tears and snots on her face before looking around in confusion and asked the only person in the room beside her.
"Aunty, you know I felt bad about Xyrus's death. So, I hoped that you would follow him." His childhood friend, Hannah, said to her with a sad face, however her last sentence betrays her expression.
Xyrus's mother was about to thank Hannah for feeling bad about her son's unbelievable death, however when she heard the next sentence, she was confused and was about to ask about it when she suddenly heard Hannah laughing out loud like a maniac.
"YAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You old fool! Did you really think you would reunite with him again? In your fucking dreams!" Hannah's expression right now can be called both weird and creepy as her face and her laugh betrays her beautiful persona earlier.
"H-Hannah? What's going on?" Xyrus's mom touched Hannah's face as she confusedly asked her. She thought that Xyrus's death must've affected her too much that her brain started going haywire. So, instead of being scared at her, not only she didn't step back, but instead, she stepped forward and touched her face, not knowing that her actions just made her death happen much earlier than it was supposed to be, atleast according to Hannah's mind as she was thinking of torturing her to death.
"You? You just touched my face, vermin!" Hannah yelled at her face before backhand slapping her, making her fall on the ground with a reddened face.
"H-Hannah?" As soon as she muttered this words as she looked at Hannah in confusion instead of anger, Hannah growled in anger as she stepped forward and leaned downward before bringing down her fist towards her face.
*Bam!*
*Bam!*
"H-H-Hannah, s-stop!" Xyrus's mother tried to defend herself by putting up her forearms in front of her head, however Hannah's strength seems to be more stronger as instead of defending her face, it just broke her forearms, as a bone was strucked out of her forearms.
"M-mom." Xyrus's face was full of tears as he can't help but close his eyes in pain, not wanting to see his mother suffer so much.
He saw his previous life with his mother flashing before his eyes, making the scene more painful than being stabbed in the heart a billion times.
Suddenly, Hannah stopped what she was doing and turned her face around exactly where Xyrus and Kaley's position is.
Kaley raised her hand, preparing to flash away with Xyrus.
Hannah then stopped ans turned back to Xyrus's mother, whose face was already beyond unrecognizable.
"I should go now. I still have many vermins like you to kill. Say hi to the Outer-Gods for me." Hannah said before coating her hand with a black transparent flame and held Xyrus's mother's face before making a pulling motion, slowly sucking her soul out of her body.
"My Lord, I offer you thee." Hannah kneeled on the ground and raised her soul up in the sky as if she was Simba.
"I accept." A heavy voice sounded out up in the sky before an energy gate appeared and opens up as it pulled Xyrus's mother's soul.
All of this, was witnessed by Xyrus who looked at this in a very complicated expression. But he knew that it is impossible to save her mother now, especially since he lost his physical body and his soul is only capable of manipulating the Void and a little bit of Prime Time.
If only there's no Outer-Gods out there, then Xyrus could do whatever he wanted and with the Primordial Gods by his side, especially the Tome of the Chosen One, then no on in the multiverse could stop him from whatever he does.
As soon as Xyrus thought of this, his eyes widened in surprise as he just realized what he just thought of.
'If the Outer-Gods are gone, then I could just go back in this time and save my mother.' Xyrus's eyes started twinkling as his previous despaired expression was replaced with an unyielding determination, which didn't go unnoticed by Kaley.
"From the looks of your face, you have something exciting in your mind." Kaley said.
Xyrus smirked as he faced Kaley and replied to her comment.
"Much more exciting than you think. The test here is done now, right? Let's proceed to the next one. I want to master Prime Time as soon as possible." Xyrus said which earned a confused smile from Kaley, who should probably be guessing by now on what Xyrus just thought of that made him so excited as if he forgot about the sufferings that his mother just faced.
'Well, whatever the hell it is, I just hope it won't cause harm to the Primordial Gods or the Multiverse itself.' Kaley shrugged her shoulders, not caring much anymore before snapping her finger, bringing them both once more back to her territory.
