The Evidence of the Tsundere Artist

Ayumi-san go to the spare room for a minute and come back,bringing along Kanakura-san.

Upon arriving,I consulted her first.

"Are you okay now,Kanakura-san?."

"Okay?.What do you mean?."

"Didn't you vomit after seeing Chinatsu-san's body?.And since this where the crime happen,

I just wondering if you can talk to me properly here?."

I learned that some people are getting nausea after seeing a corpse or they having an anxiety after going back again to the crime scene.So I'm consulting her now if she is also one among those kind of people.

"No.I actually okay now.I can at least tell you what I did since morning,though you may already heard it from the President."

She was right.Since she was with Ayumi-san throught out the time before an earthquake occurs,then there should nothing more details to asked her.Still again,just for the confirmation.Yes,confirmation.

"For starters,how about you sit to that chair and tell me your story?.By the way,you can get another vacant chair and sit next to me, Ayumi-san."

Ayumi-san followed my suggestion and sit besides me.After that,Kanakura-san finally started her story.

"When I arrived here in this school,of course I immediately go to the classroom to work on the decorations,together with the President.

After a some time,we finally finished working.

The President suggested to me if we can do some painting to the hallway on the first floor,since I have nothing to do that time."

"Okay Kanakura-san,stopped there for a while."

I immediately asked her to stop after finishing a sentence with her testimony,which kinda make her to get a little bit surprised.

"Huh?.Is there something wrong about my story?."

"No.But I just want to confirm to you something about Ayumi-san.Did she go outside the classroom to get something?."

"Of course!.She get the heart-shaped designs from Yahiro-san and Hiten-san."

She answers me with conviction,as if showing why I still need to asked her that question.

"By the way,did you already know that Yahiro-

san and Hiten-san are the ones who are doing those designs before Ayumi-san get them from them?."

"Yes....No,wait...."

She paused a bit,recollecting the memories she had with that moment.Then after some time,she finally spoke up.

"Actually,I just happen to learn that after the President got them.I asked her where did she get those designs then she answers me that they came from Yahiro-san and Hiten-san."

"How about that,Ayumi-san?.You may have an explanation for that,don't you?."

I turned my head to Ayumi-san to my right(since that's where she is sitting) and asked that question to her.

Meanwhile,she didn't react with a confused face.Instead she is showing that she was quite confident with the answer the she will spit out.

"Well the reason for that is because Yahiro-

san and Hiten-san arrived at the school earlier that Kanakura-san.To tell you the truth,I was supposed to gave those task to Kanakura-san but of course,since she still not yet here in the school that time,I ended up giving it to the two,which arrived here much earlier."

Okay.I understand now.That's good to hear.

That new information may help me later from this case.

Meanwhile,Kanakura-san look up at me with a confused face.

"Is there any reason why you need to asked that,Hashimoto-kun?."

"No.Not really.But I did told to Ayumi-san earlier to tell me every details and information of the events in her own perspective before the earthquake occurs.Unfortunately,that's is something she didn't tell to me earlier."

After saying that,Kanakura-san opened her eyes a little bit wide then immediately turn into a serious one.

"Are you perhaps already thinking that she was the culprit?."

"I haven't said anything about that,Am I?."

"But deep inside,maybe you already creating a theory,right?."

"...."

I paused a bit.I was stunned with her answer.Then after that,I laughed.

"Haha.Hahahaha."

Kanakura-san and Ayumi-san was surprised with my sudden laugh.Probably they didn't expect that kind of reaction from me and more importantly,from this situation.

"If the detectives from murder mysteries only need to interview one person to find out the culprit and solve how it was done,then we might be in our own homes now."

I said jokingly as I wrote her testimony in the small notebook.Meanwhile,Ayumi-san joined our conversation.

"I know that you are concern to me, Kanakura-

san but just like what Hashimoto-san said,we must wait for him to finish asking everyone's testimony.And that will be the time we will gonna be able to find out who was the culprit."

"I'm sorry,President."

"That's fine but you must know whom you should apologize."

Kanakura-san turned her head to me.

"I'm sorry too,Hashimoto-kun.For acting like that."

"Well it couldn't help though.Anyways,let's continue your story."

"Uhhhmmm.Where did I stopped again?."

"I think to the part when Ayumi-san ask you to do some paintings."

"Ah.I remember now."

She pause a bit,preparing the words she will say,then continue.

"The President and I,as we agreed,go to the hallway from the first floor.We set up the things we needed,like that table and the paints then proceed to make paintings.But after some time,I accidentally pour some paints to Ayumi-san's uniform."

"And the color of the paint?."

I suddenly intejected in the middle of her talking.

"It's blue.Blue paint."

"Thank you.Please continue."

"Then she said it's okay since she bring a spare uniform.Then she left out for a while to get her spare uniform from the classroom and wear it in the restroom.After some time she finally come back.Then after that,we continue on what we are doing then the earthquake occurs.After that,of course we go to the open court.I think that's all."

"Yes.I only need to know what you do before the earthquake since we already meet up from that time.Than you very much for your testimony."

From the the evidence she gave to me,it seems like what Ayumi-san told me matches to Kanakura-san story.Well I got a little bit problem about Yahiro-san and Hiten-san but Ayumi-san immediately answers it.And lastly,from the looks of it,they have both a solid alibi.

"By the way,did you see someone pass by in the hallway when Ayumi-san is not around?."

"Ah.Did you mean when she goes to the restroom.Uhhmmm.Ah,yes.There is someone and it's Hoshino-san."

"Really?.Are you sure it was Hoshino-san?."

"Ye-yes.I'm sure for that."

"Thank you for answering."

I will take note of that.I need to ask Hoshino-

san to confirmed it later.Anyways,let's go to the last but at the same time,the most important question about her.

"By the way,Kanakura-san.This is just out of my curiosity,but why did you run out towards to the classroom back then when we are in basketball court?."

Just when I'm about to ask the same question,Ayumi-san got it first to ask.It seems like we are thinking the same and it feels like it was the question she wants to ask her since I called out Kanakura-san here.

Meanwhile,Kanakura-san was suddenly surprised with that question.She bow her head a little bit and started talking with a soft voice.

"You see,President.You probably notice it,but I'm envy Chinatsu-san.Just when I finally found out my real talent,which is painting,I strive for it to improve myself.But suddenly,

Chinatsu-san appeared and shocks of all us with her painting.I though she was only good in drawing but I never thought she was also that good in painting."

"Are you refering to that friendly competition we have last August." I interject,confirming what the fact.

"Yes.Since that,I hone my skills furthermore.

But no matter what I do,I couldn't still surpass her.But at the same....."

She paused for a while.I feel like what she is about to say.After recollecting the words,she continue.

"But at the same time,even though I'm jealous to her and I can't surpass her somehow I feel relief.It seems like I'm still happy even though I can't beat her.That's why when we are in the basketball court and she is the only who is not coming out,I immdiately rushed towards to the classroom when Sensei have us permission."

She paused again for a bit,then continue.

"That time,I praying that she was alright,that she just not coming out because of the possible aftershocks of the earthquake."

"In short,you are worried to her right?."interject by Ayumi-san

"Yes.President.But when I arrived at the classroom,I couldn't what I saw which ended up making me to vomit."

After finishing her statement suddenly,tears fell down from her eyes.

"Huh....Wh-what is this....Why I'm crying...."

Then Kanakura-san started crying.After witnessing the situation,Ayumi-san stand up from her sit go towards her to comfort her.She gave her a small handkerchief to wiped her tears.

Meanwhile,I tried to put myself to her situation.I wonder how I will feel if someone I wished to beat in something suddenly died Of course,if she is gone now,then I will become the best on that something(well in this case,in painting).But then again,I will also realized that it feels like cheating.I become the best because you didn't beat your rival,but because she is gone now.Now I know why Kanakura-

san is frustrated on what happen.Not only because Chinatsu-san died but also because she didn't want that kind of 'ending' in their rivalry.

Anyways after comforting Kanakura-san,

Ayumi-san go back ot her seat again.And

when she realized she was already okay,she asked to me.

"Uhmm.Again,I'm sorry for that commotion."

"That's fine.By the way,what is your bust size? In cups please,Kanakura-san?."

"Huuuh?!."

"Sorry,that may be a silly question but it's part of this interview.I also asked that to Ayumi-san."

"Really,President?."

"Yes.I was also surprised,but since he said this may be help us to find out who might be the culprit,then I had no choice but to answer him."

"Is that so?."

She was looked irritated.But after calming herself,she spoke up.

"It's A cup."

"Thank you very much."

I wrote that in the small notebook.

"What are the chances that I and you might be the culprit for this murder?."

"Chances you say.Maybe for you,it's twenty percent.For me,its zero."

"I see.That's it.You can go back for now to the spare room."

"Really?.Is that all you need from me?."

There's no reason to asked the fourth question as I already get the answers from that when she cried.

"Yes.By the way,Ayumi-san.Who you met next after her?."

"It's Yahiro-san.But since she was still not waking up,then next to her is Hiten-san."

I asked first that question before letting go Kanakura-san.

"Then Kanakura-san,could please tell to her that she was next to be interview?."

"Okay.I understand."

"Also,tell her and to everyone that knock first and wait from us to say 'Come in.' before they enter."

"Are you messing me with me or what?."

"I'm sorry."

She sighed after all of that last-minute request to her.Then said her final words

"Don't worry about that.But don't take the worng idea.It is not like I doing this to you."

What is it,final minute tsundere cliche lines?.

But well,as long as she is fine now,then that's good.Anyways after that,she finally left the classroom.

"What can you say,Ayumi-san?."

"What did you mean?.I mean..."

She tilted her head after asking that question.

She probably didn't know how to respond exactly to me.

"What I mean is that,do you believe her words about Chinatsu-san?."

"When she said she was still happy even though she can't surpass her in doing paintings?."

"That's right."

She thinks first a little bit before answering.

Then after some time,she spoke up.

"I believe her.I believe what she said is genuine."

"I see."

A short silence fell between us afterwards.

Then Ayumi-san broke it by asking a question.

"Did you suspect her,Hashimoto-kun?."

"Well to be honest,yes.First of all she had motive.Even though what she said earlier are true,still she is jealous to Chinatsu-san.And that's basically a motive,we can't deny that.

Also,I can think a basic method on how she can kill Chinatsu-san by just basing from her testimony.Which is of course,I will just say if she was truly the culprit."

After saying that,Ayumi-san give me a

somehow a 'disappointing' face.Did perhaps something wrong to my explanation?.

"If that's the case then can we go home now,Hashimoto-kun?."

"How can you joke in a time like this,Ayumi-

san?."

After saying that,we heard a knock from the door.

"Well let's go back to the business and interview this next person."

"That's right.I guess we will stay in this school for a while."
