Confession

After eating breakfast and taking a bath,I left the house.After walking some time,I finally arrived at school.

When I go to the locker room to change shoes,

I recieved a LETTER,again.

I didn't manage to explain it yesterday so let me explain here.It all started on the first day

of February.Everyday,I received a letter,

containing some 'loving' notes like:"Today is another good day to see you in school." or "The more I see you in this school,the more I fell in love with you.",something like that.In short,a love letter.

Of course,I suspected 'one girl' in our class who could possibly sends these love letters to me but it just that I couldn't find the a concrete reason why SHE need to do this.

Anyways,that's the story.I opened up the letter.What was written here are the following:

'Hello.Hashimoto-kun.I would like you to go to the rooftop at the lunch break.There is something I want to tell you,but I want to say it in private.So if you don't mind I want you to show up.Thank you.'

And that's it.As usual,the notes were all printed and there is no name written,

indicating who was the sender.But since I already know who it was(which is proven by the conversation I have with Hosokawa-san),I will just have asked that girl why she need to bother herself on sending these love letters in the past month.

After changing shoes,I go to the classroom,

walks towards to my table and sit.

"Good morning,Hashimoto-kun."

"Morning,Yahiro-san."

My neighbor,Irina Yahiro,greeted me as I sat down on my chair.

"Did you finally finish reading your novel?." she asked

"Not yet.I was supposed to finish it yesterday but for some reason I got bored.I only managed to read two chapters."

Right.Somehow,I couldn't manage to finish a book in my house.But the strange part is that I always finished it in the school.It always happen to me whenever I read a book,either it is romantic comedy or mystery.

"I see.But that's okay.Just take your time since you will enjoy the beauty of detective novels if you give your thought about it."

"I couldn't agreed more."

She was right.That's detective novels for you.You will analyze the details and arrive in the solution.I know that not all people will like these kind of stories but for those who appreciate the beauty from it,they worthy of respect.

After that conversation,the bell rung,

Takahashi-sensei enters and starts the class.After a period of time,the lunch break finally come.

I look around the room and Chinatsu-san was not here anymore,which is already expected since she and Ayumi-san asked permission to Sensei if they could excuse themselves in the session before lunch break to prepare on Valetines Day tomorrow.Sensei,of course,

agreed to it.

I immediately go to the rooftop and when I arrived,as expected,Chinatsu-san was already there.She probably already headed here after finishing what she's doing from her task.

"He-Hello,Hashimoto-kun.Thank you for bothering yo-yo-yourself coming here."

As usual,she was nervous when she talking to people aside Hosokawa-san.

"So you are the one who is sending me those letters?."

"Th-th-that's right."

"You said in the letter that you want say something to me.What is it?."

A silence between us had occur.She look left and right nervously.I waited for her to say something,even though I already know what are those words.After some time,she exhaled and inhaled for about three times.She sway her bangs that is covering her right eye.Now I can clearly see her two eyes,as if exerting determination.Finally,she spoke up.

"You may already noticed earlier it,Hashimoto-

kun.I like you.It was all started when you helped back then when Reina-san and her friends teased me.Did you still remember that?."

She said those sentences without slipping any words.It feels like I'm seeing a different kind of Aina Chinatsu in front of me.

"Of course.But it's nothing really special."

"But you still help me.That time you're so cool."

"I just did what is right.But I didn't help you to become cool though."

"Are you trying to oppose any words I say?."

"Sorry,sorry.Just become a bad habit of mine."

After that,she laughed a little bit while I giggle.

Then a short silence had fell again between us.After some time,Chinatsu-san broke it.

"So what's your answer,Hashimoto-kun.Can I be your gi-gi-girlfriend?."

I couldn't answer immediately since this is the critical moment.I mustered all my thoughts.I remember those words of Hosokawa-san.

'Just answer her on what's in your heart with full honesty'.

After a while,I finally spoke up.

"I'm very happy that you manage to confess to me,Chinatsu-san.I appreciate your words of admiration to me.But I'm sorry.It seems like I will not be able to meet up your expectation.

Or should I say,I didn't have interest with that kind of relationship.You could also say I'm not ready yet."

I chose the words correctly.I don't want to say, 'because I don't like you'.I want to reject her without totally destroying her feelings.

"I see.Hehe.It seems this is not my lucky day today.Hehehe."

She laughed.She already know the result of her confession.

I looked to her eyes.She was laughing but deep inside,I could tell from her eyes.

"That's it,Hashimoto-kun.Thank you and sorry for bothering your free time.Yo-yo-your supposed to read some novels in this time,right?."

"That's okay.I can read them at home."

When I about to go towards her to comfort her,she suddenly run away going to downstairs.I see.Maybe she could not handle the pain for being rejected.She will probably go to Hosokawa-san to tell the results.

Before going back to my classroom,I stay on the rooftop for a little bit longer.By the way,there are fences here to avoid accidents.

I stared around.I could clearly see some trees,some buildings and highways.Then I looked at the sky.

'Did I choose the right l decision,Hosokawa-

san?.'

I muttered to myself.
