Diary of a Teenage Alpha

Big-hearted and witty, Samantha Kingsley is the Alpha's daughter who grew up learning to meet everyone's expectations. But Samantha isn't a pup anymore, she's in high school now, and is just about to discover that her life is written by her choices. Not by dreams, or prophecies, or even the moon goddess. This girl is going to protect the happiness of her pack and everyone she loves. Read her diary here. Updated every night. Mon-Sat Volume Synopsis VOL 1 It's the first week of school. Despite my failed attempt to make a friend, I somehow ended up surrounded by a handful of wolf classmates, got accepted by the human "cool" girls, and became a vampire's guard dog? VOL 2 I think I'm just starting to get the hang of school. From navigating school halls, new friends, vampires, and school clubs... Back home it should have been the usual drill, but things started shifting. And I urm...might have been messing around where I shouldn't. VOL 3 I had to miss a couple of school days this week due to my ah, long term bout of "anemia". It's been pretty intense at home. My alpha position was challenged, rogues burnt down our home, I rescued my first fight dog, discovered the Lorent's secret oracle, almost rescued my mate...and accidentally stumbled into my Alpha Dad's secret. VOL 4 My worlds collide as some members from my pack come to my school to sell concert tickets. And when Grandpa Alpha shocked us all by dying, my dad's family comes together to pay their last respects at the Night Forest Pack. VOL 5 It's February and the Vampire Queen is celebrating her birthday. Would Rebel's plan to escape work out? Meanwhile, I'm stuck in school dealing with high school drama, an evolving wolf, and a new human sister. In the Red Packlands, war nearly breaks out. (This might have been a very little bit my fault.) VOL 6 It's the week of Valentine's Day, but I've got a highschool play, Lorent drama, Vampire slaying training, and an underground army to deal with first. And then warlock weather threw an extended snowstorm at us. The whole of Green Packlands goes into lockdown - but what about Valentine's Day? VOL 7 Exams are a week away, and it feels like my time at Winderhill is really coming to a close. I'm trying to be a good student, but there are paparazzi camped outside my school, I ran with rogues (I'm shocked too), Maria just had to enter her dark cycle in school...My life is too exciting to study for exams. VOL 8 It's exam week, but I've got far greater problems brewing at home. The prophecies are merging. River's stone had unlocked warlock trouble, the rogue king has moved in, and then there's Uncle Louis' economical problems... one at a time. Just let me survive Code Black and figure out what's going on at Heller's first, and I'm sure everything else will work out somehow. VOL 9 Its the last week of school and the exams are over. Its like for better or worse, all the big bad things are over now. At home, My pack works to clean up the aftermath of the rogue war, the warlock's defeat, and Jude's betrayal. In school, everyone treats me more or less the same... like a freak. Meanwhile, our school play is in dire straights, and as the Last Hurrah's debut draws near, I get ready to say good bye to Winderhill for good. VOL 10 We follow Dad to the past to stop the traitor (AKA Jude), from ever stepping into our Packlands. It would've been a good plan too - if it didn't change EVERYTHING. Now, I can't help but feel my life is ruined. Nobody understands me. Is it selfish of me to wish none of this ever happened? Why does my world have to be so magical?

NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH

The traffic cleared up... Almost like the warlock weather we had been having lately, and we actually did get home in time for me to take a shower.

Today was grapefruit and yuzu!

Although the school project was done, and my phone had received a copy in my email inbox, I felt like I left something hanging... Mostly the classified documents that Killion had forwarded to me.

Henry had been collecting data from behind our backs.

Maxwell was giving it to us behind Henry's back.

And now I have the documents in my hands (particularly when I am holding my phone. Hahaha... Oh, right, not the time for bad jokes, not there there was ever a time for them.... Ahem, back to the issue at hand...hahaha, get it? I used another turn of phrase with 'hand' in it. Underhanded, I know. Pfffft...hahaha. Sorry.)

Anyway, what should I do?

OPTION 1: READ THE FILES AND SEND KILLION OUT FOR MORE.

OPTION2: KEEP QUIET ABOUT IT SINCE IT'S NONE OF MY BUSINESS AND IGNORE THE FILES.

OPTION 3: TELL HENRY WHAT HAPPENED AND TAKE WHATEVER CONSEQUENCES THAT IT MEANT FOR OUR FRIENDSHIP ETC.

Normally, all through my growing up years, the adults would like to say, "Honesty is the best policy."

Maybe as a kid that was true. But in this situation, it's like the truth was this big cow pat that had been handed to me, and telling Henry would be like throwing it into a turning fan.

I remembered hearing Jules ever saying to the other guys on the train, "S*** flies."

I sighed... Since when did anyone compared the truth with dung? Shouldn't the truth be something more shiny and precious? You know, like "a pearl of truth"? No one would be offended if you handed over a pearl.

But what if it wasn't a nice or pretty type of pearl? Like, "your assistant is betraying you and probably lonely too because he is giving away your intel so he could have more friends" kind of pearl.

What happens then?

And why was Henry collecting information about me? He could've asked me directly, although tbh, I wouldn't know the answer to half of the things in that document.

{Alpha is near}

Oh yeah, that's right. Alpha James was about to come. What do I do about him?

He thinks:

My brother is the only trustworthy one I have left to rely on.

My beta and his family are dead.

My son had run away and is dead.

My men are seeing ghosts.

The truth is:

Your brother is a stinky bad guy

Your son is alive but your brother was out to kill him

Your men didn't see a ghost. Killion is alive, even though your brother had thought he killed his whole family.

Furthermore, we pranked your men while they were in our custody.

Killion is my beta now, so since your brother is a fake beta, your pack is now beta-less.

And your son is my Luna. So your pack might also be Alpha-less.

Sorry about that, I didn't do it on purpose. It just happened.

And BTW, I'm about to be Alpha of Night Leaf Pack in a few years. I would like to merge with Morning Light and overtake your pack as the largest one here on Green Packlands.

Again, sorry about that. Please sign your support for me.

Yeah. That would go really well. (Note my sarcasm.)

In the best case scenario, he believes me and will fight me to take back his beta and alpha because what Alpha would not fight for the future of his pack?

The worst case scenario, he doesn't believe me and we end up in a pack war, which I'm sure we would win, given that they have a few key pieces missing on their side of the chessboard.

But we won't win without casualty.

I thought of how the truth didn't help much in school either. I'm a warlock princess with long term anemia who couldn't possibly break open lockers or knocked down entire toilet cubicles.

Again, I didn't do it on purpose. It just happened.

People see what they want to see.

I stepped out of the bath and tried to figure out what to wear.

It looked like mum had left clothes out for me. The white dress I stuffed in my drawer was now properly pressed. And the gold bracelet that Alpha Kingsley and Luna Edith had gifted me with laid neatly on top of it.

I guess I didn't lose everything in the fire.

I gratefully put them on. It's nice not having to deal with what to wear with everything going on in my head.

{Alpha approaches}

I got dressed. Wolfie was excited, which was weird, she usually only got this way when mate was near...

Oh! I immediately zipped up the dress and spun round to look. Sure enough, there was someone in my bed. I crept over and looked, Mate! I knew who to expect, but I couldn't help the way my heart jumped when I saw him. He was still sleeping.

I looked very carefully at him, he didn't seem any worse for wear. I guess his vampire master (the old scary dude) didn't hurt him.

As I looked at him, my wolf calmed at the sight of him unhurt and well, and suddenly I realized who I was. Not what Henry's documents said. Not what people saw.

It's hard to explain. Just that I suddenly calmed down and when everything settled down in my head, it was as clear as day.

I was Sam. Just Sam. And always just Sam.

It's a good thing that when Jules said, "S*** flies." He meant it figuratively, because I was wearing a white dress tonight.

I'm the Alpha. Why was I even wavering?

The truth would set you free. Even if it came with a lot of dirt on it.

It occurred to me suddenly that just covering the dirt with more dirt wasn't going to help matters in the long run. And I was going to be Alpha for the long run.

We needed to come clean.

"Wake up, Bell." I shook mate.

Rebel rolled over and groaned, "Princess?"

He groaned again and complained, "Your bed is too soft."

"Then get up." I told him, "Your dad is here."

Rebel sat up, "What?"

I mindlink Killion, "Killion come now."

"So demanding Princess." Killion smirked over the mindlink.

"And Bell needs clothes." I added.

"Luna is here?" Killion asked.

(Beta approaches)

That was fast.

"Both of you are coming with me for the meeting tonight." I informed Killion through the mind link.

"I'm about to die, aren't I?" Killion joked. He knocked on my door.

Rebel stood up from the bed. Killion let himself in.

"Come Luna, we need to get dressed." Killion said like a very proper Beta would.

I let Killion take Rebel to his room.

"I'm going to go down first." I said.

"Wait. What?" Rebel asked.

"Luna wants to know what's the plan tonight, Goddess." Killion translated.

"The plan is to tell the truth and nothing but the truth." I said.

"Bold. I like it." Killion agreed.

"What the hell is going on here?" Rebel asked.

I left Killion to settle Bell. I needed to go downstairs before the adults took things into their own adult hands and overcomplicate it with adult things I didn't understand.
