Chapter 33

" The fuck. "

That's the only thing Drake could say after hearing Eldens idea.

" Hahahaha... " Drake started laughing after awhile as he then wiped the tears from his eyes.

" That is brilliant! I want to see how this goes!"

" Great. What you guys? " Elden asked as he looked at Mars, Ladros, Mark and Rachael.

" As long as I get to whoop someone's ass, I'm in. " Ladros said. Mars just sighed in exhaustion.

Mark and Rachael looked at each other before nodding.

" We'll play. " They said at the same time.

" Great. " Elden exclaimed as he got the volleyball bet and marked the ground to draw the court.

Mars and Ladros went one side while Mark and Rachael went on the other side. Fana brought the ball as she had a whistle around her neck.

" Alright, this will be a best of 1 game. Mark and Rachael will serve first. " Fana said as she have Mark the ball.

" I'll serve first. " Mark said as Rachael gave him a thumbs up.

" Oi. " Ladros said as he looked at Mars.

" Give me the tosses. " Ladros said. " I'll destroy them. "

He had a maniac grin on his face as Mars just stood there with a poker face.

Fana blew the whistle as Mark threw the ball into the air. Running towards the ball, he jumped and spiked the ball.

The ball flew the air at a fast speed, heading towards the left corner. Ladros saw this and rushed towards the ball, getting it into the air.

The ball flew to Mars, who stood under the ball. Ladros ran up to the net and jumped as the ball came to him.

He took back his arm and smaked the ball hard. However I pair of hands appeared as the ball bounced off.

" Chance ball. " Rachael yelled as Ladros clicked his tongue in annoyance.

Mark got under the ball and bumbed it towards Rachael who then set it towards Mark.

Mars noticed and went to block him. Ladros stayed back to get the ball.

* boom *

The ball hit the ground as Mars looked at Mark. His arm was buffer than usual and had multiple vines on it.

' Seems his magic is troublesome. Till then let's just keep the ball in play. ' Mars thought. Ladros on the other hand just stared at Mark.

' That was interesting. ' Elden thought as he looked at Mark. Elden read Marks mana glow to see what happened.

' This is very interesting. He added mana to his muscles, increasing his arm strength.

What is his magic? It could be simple enhacment or it could be something else. ' Elden thought.

' Seems they are focused on Mark now. No one expected him to use magic so early on in the match.

But it's fine. We need to know what their magic is? ' Rachael thought as Mark started prepping for his serve.

When the whistle blew, he threw the ball in the air and did his run up.

' Right there. ' Mars thought as he readied his magic forming a crystal platform. Mars knew he had to get the ball in the air so they can get the point back.

Mark spiked the ball. The blew headed straight towards the platform at a faster pace than before as it broke through the platform and hit the ground.

Ladros looked at Mark with an excited grin as Mars looked at Mark trying to figure out his magic.

Elden looked at Mark and his arm before looking at the broken platform. The bottom of the platform was broken as more than 3/4 of it remained. His eyes widened as he figured out the answer.

' Blood magic. He control his own blood to increase the power in his arm. It's an enhancement but it's way better than that. He has full control over his body through the use of his magic. '

Elden looked at the ball as he noticed that the red marking on it was now gone.

' More so he put part of his blood on the ball and controlled it to make it hit the bottom. '

" Oi Mars. Let me get this. " Ladros said with a smirk. Mars looked at him and nodded.

" Just don't fail. "

" I wasn't planning on it. "

' So his magic is making crystal. He was aiming to use that platform to make the ball go up into the air.

It didn't stand up to the strength I used. But is it the best he can do? ' Mark thought.

' That guy is creepy. We still don't his own magic yet. ' Rachael thought. She looked at Mark and used her hand to signal him.

Mark saw this and agreed in his head.

Fana blew the whistle as Mark did another serve. Aiming directly at Ladros. Ladros grinned as the ball sped towards him.

Ladros positioned his arms as he recieved the ball. The ball went up into the air. Mars quickly went under the ball and set it to Ladros.

The set however was a really high toss. Mark and Rachael looked at the ball with their eyes widened as Ladros jumped up.

He appeared next to the ball as he looked at Mark.

" You gave me a good shot. Here's yours!! " Ladros said as he connected with the ball.

The ball blasted towards Mark at an extreme pace.

' Shit. ' Mark thought as he quickly sidestepped the attack. The ball hit the ground causing a giant tremor to be felt. The ground shattered as the rubble and dust cane up.

Everyone was silent as they looked at the destruction caused. They looked at Ladros who was grinning madly.

" Haahahhaha.... Yes!! " Drake yelled as everyone started to snap out of their shock.

" Things are starting get interesting. " Elden said as he looked at the 2 teams.

The volleyball match has started and Ladros is already out for blood.
