"System? No one talked to me about any system. I am not a sergeant, i retired from the army a few years back, they offered my position back due to everything that is happening, but I refuse to work at the army again. I just want to work on my knifes and sword."

Henry said "I see, it will be a bit hard to explain since you never played any rpg game. Just wish on your head to see one of this blue screens, one that show your strength, endurance, and other stats in a number."

"I will try" having already saw a screen it became much easier for him to imagine it, taking only a few second for a surprised expression to appear on his face.

"I can see it, my strength, endurance even the mind and mana those pages are talking about."

"What is your mind and magic stat?"

"My mind is at 1,3 and my magic is at 1."

Henry thought for some time then said "You said a god wanted to bless you, did you accept it?"

"I didn't accept or deny, its still in front of me. I watched the weird creature on the screen, talking about the gods, if is not lying the gods where the ones that started all of this massacre.

I wanted to just refuse, but the benefits it offers are quite tempting. I also thought I was going crazy so I didn't want to interact with anything."

Lewis asked "What does the screen say Albert?"

"It says the god of forging is interested in me and wants to bless me, everything I forge while I have his blessing will be a bit better and have a chance to be blessed and go up in quality."

Angela said "For a smith that is really good, but I also agree that the gods are some." suddenly Henry slapped Angela mouth shut, she did not even see his hand moving.

He said "Watch how you talk about the gods, especially when someone a god is interested is right in front of you, don't invite more calamity over us.

You should accept the blessing, while I don't like them either, the situation is too bad for us to be refusing such good benefits.

As for this skill scrolls, you should use the arcane forging, since you can level up by making swords you can just increase your mind until you can use them.

As for the appraisal, one of us should use it, we can appraise things on the field and bring them to you.

The skill scroll are both yours, you can use both if you want also."

Albert said "If you wanted to take the arcane forging I would cut your head and put as a trophy on my wall, if what the screen say is true this skill is extraordinary.

You can take the other one, you where the one that gave me the materials necessary for the sword so is only fair."

Henry nodded and gave the arcane forging back to him, he said "So who of us should use this?"

Brian said "I don't need it, it would be just more work, appraising and collecting materials."

Lewis said "You should use, you where the one that gave the materials, but we should take a picture of…" Just as he finished talking Albert tore the scroll, which turned into a blue light that entered his head.

Henry asked "Here, do you have your phone on you?"

Lewis took the scroll and his phone of his pocket and tried taking a picture of it, but in his camera it showed nothing, as if his hand was completely empty.

He said "Weird, look at this, it doesn't show anything. Its invisible on the camera."

Henry said "The gods probably put some spell on them to stop anyone from easily copying in the future."

Brian said "Its like the vampire and the mirror thing, if the internet was still a thing you could do some cool videos with one of this, lifting something without touching."

Angela said "The ability of appraising stuff is better than some videos."

Henry took the scroll back and tore it, a new spell appearing on his list. He looked at the magical bar of metal at the table and decided to test the skill on it.

Like he expected a blue screen appeared in front of him, he read

If my knowledge of games are worth something this material is godly, if you can make this into a sword it might even cut dragon scales, since it has mana on it already it might just turn into a magical weapon from the start.

Unfortunately to do anything with this you will probably need a thousand mana to use on the arcane forging of yours. I doubt it will be as simple as putting on fire."

Albert said "Oh I already know how hard it is to do anything with this thing, I tried a bunch of things on this bastard last night, I left in the fire for hours and hours and the bastard was cold when I took it out, not even a diamond drill managed to scratch it.

I was hopping this arcane forging could do something to it, but I can't even use it. As you said I probably need to use the arcane forging thing on the highest intensity."

Probably the best idea he every had Brian said "If you can't mold it can't you just turn it into a hammer or a mace?"

Albert looked at Brian, then a the cube, beginning to imagine how he could do it.

Henry said "Aren't you supposed to be dumb? Wait I have something." from his backpack he took the big red bone, using the appraisal skill on it.

"The leg bone of an elite red slime (FFF)

Description: originally belonging to a Saber-Abyssinian who was killed and taken by a slime that evolved into a slime, which further evolved into an elite.

After many years soaking in the elite slime it has turned into a top FFF rank material and gaining some corrosive resistance."

Albert asked "What is that? A red bone?"

"This is the leg bone of an elite slime, it should be quite strong, and its lighter than metal."

Almost letting the bone fall on the ground Albert said "This is light for you? It almost dislocated by shoulder. Now get you sword and its sheath over there and get out, I need some silence to think."

Henry nodded and picked his red sword, even the handle being made of a red wood. As soon as he activated his devouring blade he felt the sword resonating with him, the usual black eyes appeared thru the blade as the core at the handle and the veins thru the blade turned blue and started glowing blue.

He could even feel it consumed a little less mana to keep the skill active. Henry turned to Albert, who was eyeing him with curiosity, and said "I only have one of me right now, but I will bring some more later." throwing a chocolate bar at him.

Just as Albert was about to say something Brian said "Hey old man, can I take that spear?"

"Are you my grandson to be calling me old man? What do you want my spear for?"

"To use it of course, I have this ability to summon a shield, and I don't like using a pistol while defending."

"Take it, but you better bring something for me to work with. Now get out already, I want to think."

As they walked towards the gate leading to Kansas city Henry used the appraisal on his new sword.

"Elite mantis sword (FFF+)

Description: A sword made out of an elite giant red praying mantis arm blade and core, turned blue and had its quality increase slightly after an epic grade skill was used on it.

Effects: +0,6 dexterity to the wielder, has a small chance of paralyzing the enemy on hit, enemy must have less than ten endurance.

Wanting to test something Henry asked Brian "Brian give me your spear for a second."

"What for?" said Brian already passing him his spear.

Henry used his appraisal skill, used his devouring blade then used his appraisal skill again,

"Steel spear (G+)

Description: a simple spear made out of steel and ash wood, had its quality increases slightly by a high grade skill.

"Interesting, it does increase in quality after I use my skill, I feel like the mantis blade quality increased more though." Thought Henry passing the spear back to Brian.

As they waited for Lewis to get them a car Angela asked "Do you think the superiors will accept your proposal?"

"If they have a brain they will, there is no hope in getting Kansas city back like this."

"I agree, my team members are useful but I am the only one with a fighting power, if an elite attack us we are do for."

Brian asked "Uh, what proposal are you guys talking about?"

Cerbes shook his head "This guy is beyond saving."
