It wasn't long after we finished talking that I sensed a demon king-level presence coming in our direction. I stood up and walked into the corner that the door would cover once he opened it, Naliyi noticing me making a move went and sat on the bed. When he walks in and sees her he will most likely be too distracted to even try to notice anyone else in the room. soon the door is thrown open and an overweight old demon walks in and looks for Naliyi, when he sees her on the bed a feral grin appears on his face.

"I told you after you tasted what I can give you Naliyi that you would forget all about your fiancé." Naliyi even with all her hatred for the old man keeps her act together and just sits perfectly still and doesn't respond. seemingly excited by the semi-reluctant act she is putting on Kander closes the door and walks in. I spot the ring on his hand and begin to make a move behind him, he keeps spouting about how much she will be enjoying herself soon. he almost made it to the bed and is reaching to remove his clothes when I knock him in the back of the head and he falls forward with a massive thud.

"Huh, I guess you weren't lying about being able to take him out even without me." she walks over to the fat old man and kicks him a few times. I snag his ring and study it a bit and when I put the power of Bune into it they transform into some kind of goggles. with these I can read the treasure map, transforming them back I put them in my inventory. soon I will hire some random demons as knights or rooks and let them go get the rest of the pieces to the map since I know roughly where they are. as I stand up and turn back to Naliyi she shifts a bit and kicks the old man some more. "so you weren't kidding about taking me?"

"No I wasn't kidding and if you want I can hire you for one of my businesses where you will earn enough to start your alchemy career, it won't be anything too hard just some of my private experiments and running a brewery for me." she looks at her feet for a bit and seems a bit spooked, it's understandable with having your life planned out then randomly sold to someone but the person you loved the most. she looks back up at me and seems to muster up her courage and nods.

"I want to leave here, I resigned myself to die with him but if you can get me out of here and promise I won't ever be sold to someone and that you will keep me safe then I will work for you." well that works out perfectly, now I need her help to steal all this guy's other wives. if they are anything like her and they just didn't have the means to fight back then I am sure they will appreciate an out from Kander.

"Alright, I want to try to employ his other wives since I am sure they will have to suffer his wraith once he wakes up. I might as well give them all an out since it's my fault he will be throwing a fit." Naliyi looks a bit surprised then she smiles.

"Your more kind than I originally thought, follow me I can lead you to them I know they all have hated him for something he did to obtain them they just didn't have the strength the leave or fight back. most of them don't have anything or anyone to fall back on and just gave up hope of ever leaving so I am sure they wouldn't mind working with you to be out from his thumb."

"So I guess that's everyone, not a single person decided to stay behind." I am standing Infront of forty of Kander's lovers and they all pretty much jumped on the deal and even dragged a few maids with them to get them to safety. with this many people I can begin to open a few of my businesses like bakery and other restaurant idea's. they all are appealing to look at so the eye candy factor is way up and once I get a contract with all of them to not discuss my info and leave them the option to leave if they want this matter will be settled.

I also managed to snag Kander's storage ring and it was filled with black crystal coins. probably around two hundred thousand. with this money, I give some funds to the girls after they all signed contracts with me. they all set off to buy different things they will be needing and also some clean clothes. in every group, there is at least one intermediate middle-tier girl which should be good enough for defense in the dark moon. the only people who would take interest in a bunch of pretty girls would probably be the Mellon family, they would try to kidnap them to sell them to the blue lava estate. I will deal with the Mellon family soon, I want to get the realm king fruit from their basement anyway to help Shea break through and also learn the territory ability that the fruit helps with. learning territory is one of the recruitments to promote in the higher tiers, your territory later evolves into a kingdom which is the foundation of your godhood.

"So we will be staying in the two hotels that are nearby?" Naliyi decided to stay behind I have pretty much designated her as the leader of the group.

"Yea I bought most of the buildings in the area and with the funds donated by the generous mayor I can buy all the rest and own the southeast district of the dark moon. I will make this area the start of a few franchises I plan to start."

"Franchises?" she is confused by the term.

"Like a business that has multiple stores all under the same name and spread throughout the different empires." she nods, I hold off on giving her a pawn piece because tomorrow I will have more devil fruit and can give her one before and after reincarnating her for max effect. I also plan on reincarnating a lot of them in the future for self-defense and also because when I open a new restaurant or something they will have experience running one and can go and teach in other places. with them being devils they will be strong enough to defend there self's and my places of business for the most part. and if they can't then they can always teleport out with as much of my resources as possible.

"Alright well what is it that you want me to do now?" she seems a bit lost but also excited to get to work.

"Nothing today I will give you what you need tomorrow and also some tasks I am going to drop off on you to look over. mainly I am going to need to get you to higher demon at least but preferably demon king so you don't have to worry about anyone trying anything when I am not here. oh well, let's just wait and see what happens after tomorrow but for today just buy what you need to live and join the others in the hotel. I will set up some defense measures to alert me if something happens and also you have the contract summoning paper, if anything happens then just drop some blood on it and I will show up." she holds up the slip and looks at it before stuffing it in her cleavage and grabbing the coin purse I threw on the table.

"Alright I am out to get some clothes and something to eat, I guess I will see you tomorrow." she begins to walk out and I am about to teleport out when she spins around and faces me again. "Thanks for helping me by the way, I didn't think I would be able to survive after what happened but you helped me and I appreciate that." she quickly runs off after that, and I can't help but feel bad about leaving the mayor alive after all he did. once the Catherine stuff is over I will go back and kill him.

"So you stole the mayor of town Leia's wives and now are employing them in your businesses and want to get rid of the Mellon family to ensure they don't get sent into slavery when your not looking, is that all? are you sure that you didn't also manage to start some blood feud with some powerhouse who will hunt you down and wipe out the dark moon in his rage?" Shea taps her foot after listing to what I have gotten up to in the last few hours.

"And here I thought you would like that I saved a bunch of people from sex slavery and am trying to clear out the slavers of the dark moon." I lean back and let out a defeated sigh, Shea deadpans at my act.

"Nova, are you sure you didn't do this with any ulterior motives?" thinking about how good Naliyi looked in the skimpy attire that Kander had her wear I shake my head adamantly.

"None." Shea senses something going on but just lets out a sigh and gives up.

"Whatever you are an adult you can handle your problems. are you busy the rest of the day?"

"I am not, other than looking into the Mellon family and hopefully gathering the evidence to convict them and then deprive them of their property I am free." I know that the patriarch of the Mellon family sent his heir to work in the army of the bloody empire and that if I do a little digging and get more info then it could be a treason charge to the family, and they will be stripped of there titles and land and then I can take the fruit and the nice house to live in. killing them will have a huge investigation launched and the bloody empire might send some people to look into it. but exposing them as traitors then the bloody empire won't be able to get involved without causing friction with Obsidian and the treaty that was signed. Raizen the leader of the bloody empire hasn't broken through to kingdom tier yet and won't rush a war till he has.

"Ok let's go train together I feel I am close to becoming demon emperor, with the effects from the black potion I feel I have the strength but I lack something fundamental." she is missing the territory and once she learns it she will naturally break through, demon emperor is possible to get to without territory it's just harder, demon overlord is the one that requires the territory. I need to start learning territory so it probably won't be a bad idea to go talk to Paglio about it.

As we are training Gauss walks in with an urgent message.

"This just came from the capital." he hands it over and looks pretty nervous. I walk up behind Shea and peer over her shoulder and she doesn't react to my action so I take it she doesn't care. reading it I find out the capital is sending someone to deal with the dispute between the son of the finance minister and the son of the red spirit lord. long story short they are trying to break up Alan and Josephs's squabble, it doesn't state who is coming just to expect them and provide assistance. I find it crazy that the stand-in Obsidian can boss around the actual ruler or at least rightful heir Shea. but it goes to show that power is everything and Shea needs to get powered up fast. if she gets strong enough she may be able to avoid the civil war and directly challenge Obsidian and take the throne with no death to the troops of the empire.

"Nova you smell like sweat back up some." I make a show of smelling her and jumping back as she swings on me.

"I would say you smell too but in reality, you don't." she blushes but otherwise chooses to ignore me and moves the conversation along as I towel off.

"We will prepare a room in the palace and also one in the royal hotel depending on who comes will depend on where we send them." Gauss nods and heads off to get started, but before he's gone far he turns and gives me a thumbs up. throwing him one back he scurries off when Shea lets her spirit power erupt before charging me again and we are back to fighting.
