Entangled fates

"Don't worry Taehee. I got your back." said your best friend, to assure your thumping heart. But, all her efforts went flying out of the window the very moment her eyes landed on the bouquet of blue roses. It was beautiful, wrapped with different shades of cream and peach paper, and adorned with a ribbon bow. It was immaculate, just the way she prefers it. Every flower was placed with precision. From the color of the roses to the wrapping paper. It looked as if someone has spent a great effort and time in selecting the best roses. Every flower was beautiful and stood in the bouquet to increase its beauty. If someone were to keep it in her office without telling her, then she surely must have thought it was from her dad. But it wasn't the case. She knows it's not from her dad, there is no way it can be. Her old man had gone out for 2 months to her hometown and even if he did, there is no way they could have survived the trip to the city. And the only other person who knew her love for blue roses was dead.

"It can't be it!" Taehee whispered in disbelief.

"Dead can't come back to life," she said a grabbed a fist full of her hair.
