Chapter 2 - Loss of Father's figure

The next morning. Gwen woke up from her deep sleep. He then remembered his father, his father must be very worried about him. Because he didn't come home all night. Lisa quietly left Morgan's apartment. He didn't want to bother the man anymore, without realizing the bracelet his father had given him fell in the apartment room.

"I have to go home now, papa must be waiting for me. Why can I fall asleep here, really stupid."

The atmosphere is still quiet, there is no sign that the owner is awake. Gwen hastened her pace to leave Morgan's apartment. His mind was now only focused on his father, who must be worrying about him right now.

An hour after Gwen left. Morgan woke up, and looked for the girl in his room. However, unfortunately he did not find it in the room.

"Where's that girl? It's strange, why did she just disappear, not saying goodbye to me, even though I don't know where she lives yet. The eagle bowed slightly, then picked up something in his room.

"It's not that Mentari's bracelet. A very beautiful girl," the Eagle muttered. He also kept the Mentari bracelet, he hoped that if he could meet again with the girl who had the sweetest smile. Could the seeds of love begin to blossom in the Eagle's heart? Maybe it's called love at first sight.

Meanwhile at Gwen's house. The girl immediately met her father in his room. He felt very sad because he saw the condition of his father who could now only sleep weakly on his bed.

"Dance," Randy called in his weak voice. Sun was sitting next to his father. And when the middle-aged man got up to sit beside his daughter, the Minister immediately hugged his father who now looked so weak.

"Where have you been, son? You didn't even come home last night. Papa was so worried about you." Randy rubbed his daughter's back gently.

Finally Gwen also told the incident that he experienced last night. Without lying at all, because Randy always taught the Minister never to tell a lie, it's better to be honest even though the reality is bitter.

Randy cried after hearing the story from his daughter, Gwen gently wiped the tears of his father who was now crying. The man regretted not being able to be a father who could protect his daughter. He really is like a useless father, because he only troubles his daughter.

"Papa, don't cry, please. The sun is fine, Pa." The sun also wiped the tears from his father's eyes that trickled down his cheeks.

"I'm sorry papa, son. Papa is really useless. You can't even take care of you."

"Never mind, Papa. Papa will always be the best man for Mariana. Gwen loves Papa very much."

Hear the words of the princess. Randy immediately hugged Mentari while occasionally wiping the tears that trickled down his cheeks. He is very lucky to have a daughter like Gwen who is always independent.

After parting with Randy. Irena is in a relationship with a widower with one child. Mariana actually doesn't like her stepbrother's attitude, because she always tries to make Mariana and her mother not get along.

"Mariana why are you pushing me, I'll ask you nicely."

Mariana's half-sister Angel. Has a jealous nature, to the point of making jealous girls always want to defeat Mariana in order to be superior to her.

"What do you mean Sister? I didn't push Sister." Mariana avoided because she did not do what her step-sister accused her of. Then Angel complained to Irena, by slandering and making up lies so that the middle-aged woman would scold Mariana. Unfortunately, the mother trusted her half-sister more.

"Mom, he pushed me mom." Angel began to complain to Irena.

"Mariana! Don't be like that!" Mama Irena snapped with a sharp look at her daughter.

"What the hell, Ma. I didn't push Kak Angel." Mariana answered with annoyance because the mother believed more in her second daughter than in herself who was her own daughter.

"It's a lie, Ma. Mariana really pushed me," said Angel with a sad look on her face.

"Angel, why are you slandering me? What's wrong with me, sister?"

"It's enough, don't argue anymore, Mama's dizzy, don't you know. Now you can apologize to your sister."

"No Ma, I won't apologize. Because I'm innocent, so why should I apologize." Mariana giggled. But suddenly. Irena slapped Mariana's cheek, just because of a trivial problem, Irena had the nerve to slap her own daughter. Seeing that, of course Angel smiled with satisfaction because he managed to make the mother and child fight because of a misunderstanding.

"Bad Mama, I hate Mama!"

"Ma-Mariana I'm sorry, son. I didn't mean to slap you, honey."

Mariana ran away from her mother holding her cheek. He left the house disappointed. He was disappointed with the attitude of his mother, who always loved his brother more. Now he was reminded of his father and sister, Gwen. He now misses his father and sister very much.

"I miss you, Pa. Deck, where are you now? I want to stay with you, because now mom doesn't love me anymore. Mariana's eyes look empty because they are full of sadness.

Arthur met Mariana who was now daydreaming by the lake, the girl was surprised when she saw her lover was standing in front of her.

"Ma-mas Arthur," said Mariana who was surprised, because Arthur was suddenly in front of her looking at her.

"Hi, sweet miss what are you dreaming about? You didn't even see me coming. Why are you daydreaming alone? Why don't you want to invite me, it's not good for a beautiful girl to daydream alone," Arthur said teasing Mariana. Hearing Arthur's words, he just smiled shyly.

"Tell me honey, am I not your future husband. So if you have a problem, tell me." Arthur was now sitting next to Mariana.

I'm tired, Mas. Really very tired," complained Mariana with teary eyes. Then she covered her face crying. Arthur who was sensitive immediately hugged his lover's body. He tries to calm and reassure him that he is not alone now.

"You're such a crybaby, Yang. But I like it because a crybaby will be spoiled, but don't cry every day," Arthur teased with a small chuckle.

"Iiiihh… Mas Arthur, why are you teasing me again." Twilight sulked. But now her crying stopped because of Arthur's temptation which made Mariana stop crying. Luckily he met a man like Arthur who was always there when he needed someone's support.

"Yeah-yeah sorry, don't cry anymore, honey, I'm right beside you now. So you don't have to worry about anything anymore."

Now Mariana's gaze looks strange, her eyes narrow. It just made Arthur nervous.

"Stop Mariana, that look of yours... aishh you."

Listen to Arthur's words. Mariana instead laughed, she felt very excited by the nervous expression on her lover's face.

"You're laughing, can't you see I'm already breaking out in a cold sweat like this." Now it was Arthur's turn to sulk.

"Listen Riana, no one will take away your happiness. Trust me," said Arthur and held Senja's hand then smiled.

"I ... I." Mariana's speech stopped when Arthur hugged Mariana, the girl also enjoyed when her lover hugged her tightly. He let his face sink into the man's arms.

"Thank you God, because you have given me the most beautiful gift. I beg you not to let this happiness disappear from me." Mariana said in her heart.

In another place, a beautiful girl looked depressed, her eyes looked puffy. Because he had to see someone who was none other than his biological father, lying weak. Slowly the middle-aged man opened his eyes, and looked at the beautiful face of his daughter who was still crying.

"Gwen. My beautiful princess, why are you looking so sad, son?"

"Papa, Gwen can't bear to see Papa like this, I don't want to lose Papa. I've had enough of losing Mariana and Mama." The girl couldn't hold back her tears anymore. He finally cried.

"Honey, Papa wants to be honest with you, son. I'm sorry papa for lying to you all this time."

"What do you mean Papa?"

Randy also held his daughter's hand, then he told the situation of Mariana and Irena. Randy says that Gwen wants to find the whereabouts of her sister and mother.

"Alright, Dad. Gwen will look for mom and sister, but Dad promises to hold on for Gwen's sake."

"Son, forgive Papa because you have to be able to fight on your own. Remember, dear, even if Papa can no longer be with you, Papa will always be in Mentari's heart dear." Then Randy wiped the tears that flowed down Gwen's cheeks. A moment later the man smiled and closed his eyes, and his breath was no longer felt. Randy's heartbeat is no longer there. The middle-aged man was gone for good, leaving Gwen alone. Gwen who realized that immediately shouted hysterically.

"Papaa...!" The sun continued to cry while hugging his father's body, he had not had time to unite his father and mother to get back together, it was all over, now the girl was completely alone.

"How dare you leave me. I can't be without daddy, but now you're leaving me alone." The Sun's tears broke again. However, from a distance, someone looked at the Sun, then smiled faintly. I don't know who he is.

The sun is now sitting weakly, his face is down with the occasional cry that can still be heard. The girl brushed off her sadness, took a photo of her late father, after burying his father. The minister immediately locked himself in his room.

"Papa, now I really don't have anyone anymore, Tari just wants to follow papa so he can continue to be with papa. Why is Gwen living if he has to be alone without papa anymore."

When Gwen was crying alone, suddenly there was a knock on the door. The sun wiped his tears and walked towards the main door of his house. Check the door opened.

"What are you doing here?" asked the Minister slightly annoyed when he saw who had come to visit his house.

However, Gwen's curt voice was even returned by a cynical smile from the man. Yep, a jerk who almost took his honor away.

"Sun, may I come in?"

"No, go!"

When he got a rejection from Mentari. The evil man's gaze frightened Mentari, making the girl take a few steps back.

"Come on Sun. Don't be a hypocrite in front of me, I know. If you need someone to vent your sadness, then come here dear."

"You bastard! How dare only a woman!" Gwen screamed then slapped the man in the face and immediately ran out of the house. He ran as fast as he could to avoid the bastard. Then the girl stopped on the side of the road, now her breath was getting tight due to exhaustion.
