Chapter Two
"Hello girls! How was your first day?! " Aunt Miranda asked from the kitchen.
The smell of chocolate chip cookies filled the room and I salivated
"Nessa...deal with her for me " I said trying to look as tired as possible.
"nuh uh..you won't keep on ignoring her like that.. She thinks she's a bad person already. "
Nessa whined stomping her foot
I raised my eyebrow and she softened.. That look always worked
" okay then.. What's in it for me? "
Smart little devil
" milkshake? "
" cake! " she countered
"That's not good for your teeth..milk shake has nutrients."
She was glaring at me.... Cute! I rolled my eyes and started my way up the stairs
" Miraaanda... We're in the living room! "
I turned to Nessa in horror and mouthed 'fine' then I ran to my room... She was so gonna pay for that!
Wearing my costume, I headed for the pool. Swimming made me think.. I had met the son of my mother's murderer..that should at least give you an idea of what was on my mind..
All my life I had been working towards vengeance and now it was right before my eyes , I was not sure I wanted it anymore.. Was it too late to still want it?... But let's face it.. They still murdered her without looking back... I should not even be considering backing out.. She had to be avenged!
"You should try out for swim team! " Malesi shouted
I didn't even notice them come in.. They were three now but the other wasn't a twin.. Thank God!
"My ears work perfectly you know.. You didn't have to shout. " I said coming out of the pool
" I doubt that ...
I mean you were just staring into space and we called you like what?!... Three hundred million trillion times.. If that's a number! " she answered

I welcomed them to the house and we went to the game room. Fancy.. I know..
I came to learn that the third was Cian and they had been friends from middle school. She had perfect black hair that reached her lower back.. Flat ironed.. No curls.. And her eyeliner was proffesional.. She looked gooooood..
Maybe making friends wasn't as hard as I thought..
"Don't get in trouble! " Nessa said as she ran off to her class.
Well I couldn't promise the angel anything.. I wasn't a liar
The doors of my block gave me shivers just looking at them.. What's the worst that could happen! Right?!... I guess. I pushed them open and everyone stopped their movements.. They were all looking at me... Or I was imagining it...

I closed my eyes and hoped that when I opened them everyone would be minding their own business.. But they weren't!

I did a body scan and I was fully dressed.. Phew!

I walked past them.. I wasn't in the mood today. My locker was five seconds away.. I could make it!
" What?! Cat got your tongue today? " Beatrice spoke from behind me.. OK one sentence wouldn't hurt.
" I had bitch free cereals today.. You should try it some time with milk that has 100% sense content then maybe you'll actually have a purpose in life " I shot back.. Smirked and left for class.. I'd come back to my locker later.
My first period was English..that made my stomach tingle... I took a seat at the back and opened pride and prejudice... I liked being ahead of the teacher. After about ten seconds of actual peace of mind some movement on my side caught my attention..
" Hi Taurus " the hot boy from yesterday said winking at me .

Wait how did he get here.. Oh he was a student here.. I mentally face palmed myself ..but he wasn't in any of my classes yesterday.. What if he switched classes to monitor me so that he could kill me.. Oh God...could he even hold a gun though? He looked so inexperienced.. So spoon fed ...like he didn't know how to survive cause it was guaranteed to him... But why did he choose this fake relationship with me? The relationship! Yesss.. We had to break up! But how did he even know I'm a Taurus... Was he stalking me? But why would he.. I was a nobody.. At least before we were adopted I didn't have any meaning in this life.. OK step by step.. I'd find out his true intentions. As for now..
" I'm not a Taurus! "
" I'm pretty sure you are " he said without even looking at me

"Not my point... We need to break up " I said as a matter of fact.

Let's all pretend I felt something under his intense gaze. I gave him the ' What?! ' look waiting for him to complete his annoyingly proud statement..
" I'm quite the package " he winked at that..
Oh please.. Like I couldn't find men on my own.. Not that you've ever dated.. My mind reminded me.. Aaah OK maybe I wasn't interested in relationships.. Those people exist right?!
" I can take good care of my self " I rolled my eyes and avoided him for the rest of the day..
" So he refused to break up with you?! " Cian asked quite impressed .
" Well he didn't exactly say no.. "
" but he didn't say yes " mellissa said as we strolled out of school
I still wasn't going to let him win this mind trick thing he was doing with me...
I was prepared..
I was suddenly tuckled to the ground as I heard someone command everyone to lay down.
Screams muffled the gunshot sounds that filled the air and all the pain and trauma rushed to my brain...
Well not this time!
I tried to struggle but my hands were firmly pinned to the ground. " you're gonna get us both killed if you don't stop moving dammit! "
That voice...
When silence resumed he pulled me up from the ground checking me for any injuries
"Still think you don't need me in your life?! "
