Third person Pov

After hearing the gunshots, the bodyguards Chase had sent with Charlotte and Elena pushed them down to make sure they get cover.

One of them called Chase and told him that they have been ambushed. Elena turns to see if Charlotte is okay, Charlotte was not near Elena, but Elena saw the blood she checked herself to see if she had been cut but she was okay then she looked around to see Charlotte holding her shoulder. Charlotte had been shot, and Elena rushed over to Charlotte to help her she need to get the bullet out and stop the bleeding.

Elena ran around the store they were in, and she found a first aid box it had most of the things she needed. Elena managed to sterilize her hands and the tools she had to use, by the looks on Charlotte's neck this wasn't the first time she had been in this situation.

Elena managed to get the bullet out it wasn't in too deep, and she could give Charlotte stitches, so she bandaged Charlotte's shoulder.

The door swings open, and to only see Chase running in he ran in with his men whom he instructed to take Charlotte back to the mansion where the doctor is.

Chase looked over to Elena who had blood on her hands, he walks over to her and grabs her hand they walk to his car he drives them back to the mansion the whole car ride was silent and Elena was in a state of shock because that was her first time in such a situation.

They get to the mansion; Elena gets out of Chase's car without a word she walks towards the room she had been in earlier. She went into the bathroom trying to wash off her blood from Charlotte.

After that Elena is sitting in her room thinking of Charlotte and if she was okay after what happened. So, Elena takes a walk to Chase's office on her way there she saw Kole. Elena walked over to Kole. He turned around and hugged Elena, she was surprised that Kole hugged her, he looked like he was about to cry. "Kole are you okay", Elena asked him.

"No, I was supposed to protect her, I was supposed to make sure nothing happens to her, I promised her, and I failed her", Kole said to Elena. Then Elena put two and two together, she realized that Kole and Charlotte were. They probably were keeping it a secret from Chase because why would his best friend tell him he is seeing his sister, Chase would have probably killed Kole.

Elena let go of Kole and asked him where Charlotte was, so Kole took her to Charlotte the doctors were talking to Chase he seemed mad, and Charlotte was there she seemed fine, but she looked like she was crying. Elena walked in and Chase stormed off, Elena ignored him and went to Charlotte to see why she had been crying that's when Charlotte told her......
