Time To Massacre

"Okay, so I have abilities, but how'll I use them?" he questioned, slowly clenching his fists and approaching the demons.

He stepped forward steadily, scrutinizing the body structure of the demons. He had planned on studying medicine like his grandfather but was interrupted by the sudden appearance of demons.

If anything, he knew the vital points on the body of an average human, but all that was left, was if demons resembled humans in terms of biological composition.

"Down to hell, you all go!!" He shouted, approaching the demons with greater speed.

As he ran towards them, he gazed upon their faces and was immediately surprised by the look they put on - surprised, and even mocking.

In a flash, he ran towards them filled with courage. Already in front of a demon, he retracted his arm, clenched his feet, and forcefully thrust it into the torso of the demon.

Aaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh!!

The demon screamed, spilling a sticky yellow-green substance from its side. With a slight gaze, Levi spotted a few leaks of solid material from within its body.

"Wait, don't these demons have organs?" He thought, approaching the demon beside him fiercely.

In the same manner, he eliminated two demons besides the first and stood amidst all of them.

His back was positioned slightly overhead, as he breathed heavily, and the sticky substance flowed slowly from his fists.

He turned towards the three demons he had just dealt with, observing their reaction. Within a few seconds, almost a minute, the three demons exploded, streaming out large chunks of their sticky substance.

He watched the scene unfold, and rather than feeling disgusted, he observed the happiness in him growing beyond measure as a slight grin crept onto his face.

With joy he screamed, running mindlessly to the next demons ready to strike.

"I think I'm enjoying this, it's not so bad now that I think of it. They're weaker than I thought!"

Although Levi made a mess of the demons, he had no idea what the source of his strength was.

He was in a different state, mindless and hungry for destruction.

His fear was overshadowing, now seemed infinitesimal, not significant in any way

His legs grew stronger, and his speed increased significantly as he ran through the demons, utterly crushing them with his bare fists as his only weapon.

"Ah, only if I had a sword, it would be way better," he muttered still massacring every single demon with his hands.

He stopped temporarily, now striking his chin with his dirtied palms. He tried remembering the abilities he was gifted with.

"Yes, the silk touch must already be activated, that's where this power is coming from, but is it truly this strong," he said out loud. "What about...."

"Flash strike"

Immediately, he was transported to his next foe, who slowly turned its head to Levi in a bid to evade his attack.

But, Levi would never lose a chance that he got, especially with his new abilities.

Boom!!

He crashed both his fists that he had clenched together into the face of the demon. The substance spilled about, and a chain of reactions set off.

He turned to glance at the demons behind him, but, they all were dead.

The sticky substance sourced from a massive amount of demons behind him, flew in the air, and their bodies fell to the ground.

Soon, they all erupted in a spark of irritating material, which at the same time disintegrated their bodies.

"Oh, so this substance kills once its host is dead, that's good to know," he said in a surprising tone, although it wasn't fully visible on his face.

[Demon count: 1

Tier: Tier-1]

"Ah, it's only you remaining," he spoke, rotating his head, and eyes to lock with the demon's.

"Flash strike"

Thud!!

The demon fell dead, erupted, and was erased from existence. Levi immediately fell on the floor, exhausted.

He rested his head in the repulsive environment, filled with nauseating substances scattered on the walls of the building.

He tilted his head and gazed through the window where he saw the bloody sky. Immediately, he remembered his goal and stood up, although filled with excruciating pain.

With his head almost descending from his neck, he walked out with an inelegant gait.

Upon exiting, Levi stood upright, his hands laid on his waist as he looked up into the red sky.

"No clouds in sight. Why did it all turn out like this? If I don't kill over 100 demons I'll die?" He said, disheartened. "I can't even remember the exact amount. Well then, I'll kill as much as I can and hope for the best," he concluded.

He continued his hard stares at the sky, attempting to capture a singular star in his line of sight, but unfortunately couldn't.

He then walked out, recharged and energetic to face the next demons. He ran through the streets, capturing air with his clothes that swung by his side.

He moved speedily, utilizing every second he had for he knew he had limited time - only five days.

He passed through every house, taking a glance at its interior. Although he wandered along the street, he could not ascertain his next destination.

It was during his long, tiring run that a thought surfaced in the deep space of his mind.

"Aren't I meant to have a stats bar or something?" He asked, halted and panting in the middle of the street.

Aside from that, he wondered where all the other participants were knowing fully that there was a large crowd in the dark space.

"If 'flash strike' initiates when I utter it, maybe my stats will work the same."

He took in a deep breath and hopped to a building. There, he lay while iterating the name.

"Stats," he called out calmly, filled with fatigue due to the stress of killing the demons.

He sat down exhausted for a minute awaiting his status but was left with no response. He stared into the void, expecting an incoming message, and luckily, got one.

Except, it was not what he had expected.

A window containing a message appeared in front of him.
