King Leopold Duncan
"Journal,
I fear I have made a grave error in judgment. I had no choice, and I wonder if the higher power will ever forgive me for what I have done. I was never meant to be King. I was just a lowly footman who kept his wits about him in times of battle. I did not ever think I would befriend the King before me and be named his successor.
When I arrived back with his body. I came back with more than just his legacy upon my shoulders. I came back with a book so foul and devious that I had the monks hide it in pure salt at the bottom of the Chapel. I had hoped it would stay there, but alas, the book called to me. I tried to resist but was left with no choice when the castle was falling apart around me.
