His Past Self

"Where are you?" Anna opened the door and walked into the room as if the room belonged to her.

She looked around but the man was nowhere to be seen. Just when she thought that he had gone out when she was not paying attention, she heard the door of the other side opening,

"Creak!"

She turned to look back only to find him coming out of the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around his waist. Water was dripping out of his hair to his neck, falling on his chest and slowly dripping down to his waist.

His strong muscles and taut chest was no less than a piece of art. Yet her eyes stayed only at his face.

"You are here.. Because?" he asked as he leisurely tossed the towel in his hands on the bed and walked towards the small closet that was on the corner.

He shuffled a few clothes before taking out a blue shirt with khaki pants and another signature hoodie.

"I am here with an offer!" her cold yet determined voice rang in the room. Her hands clenched into a fist as she took slow steps towards him.

Her high heels created the sound of "clink" whenever she took another step. He wore the shirt that was hanging loosely on his body now and turned to look at her with a raised brow.

"An offer?" it was rare for humans to give him an offer and a girl at that. He raised a brow as he looked at her with interest.

"Yes! I want you to help me save the gym." her tone was authoritative instead of requesting or desperate and he chuckled.

He would have accepted the offer if the system would have shown him points but that was not the case.

"And why do you think I would do that?" he titled his head and looked at her with his cold eyes that did not have an ounce of warmth, but her eyes were colder that were filled with hatred.

Her hands clenched into a fist so tightly that green veins were popping out of her skin.

"Did you not always offer help to everyone? Then why is it that you can not help me?" she stood in front of him and looked straight into his eyes. He was impressed as very few were able to do that.

"It only depends on my mood who I want to help, but little girl.." he raised his hand and her chin tightly in his hands as he forced her to look deeply into his eyes when she tried to turn away, "nothing in this world is free!!"

She held his hand with both hands and tried to get herself free but failed badly. His grip was like a rock that could not be moved.

"I know you are not a saint like people describe you. You are just a demon that was trying to do good deeds only in exchange of gaining their trust and then getting what you want." she spat the words with hatred filled eyes but he only smirked as if he had heard a joke.

"I had never thought that I would agree with a human one day!" he let go of her chin and turned. Unhurriedly walking towards the bed, he sat on it while leaning on the headrest.

His legs crossed over each other while still in towel and an opened shirt, he was looking like a sex god. But the hatred filled eyes of the girl only see his arrogance filled eyes that were mocking her.

She rubbed her chin where her fairy white skin had turned red. She wanted to beat the man for showing arrogance to her but she persisted. She could not see her sister crying and worrying all the time. And she knew they were going to come back!

"Why are they coming to your gym every time? I did not hear them disturbing others so much?" he asked as he heard her desperate thoughts that were completely in contrast with her cold and confident manner she was portraying.

A flicker of astonishment passed in her cold eyes that she hid perfectly in the next second.

"What does it have to do with you? I am sure that you do not care anyway. So why ask and waste both of our time?" she folded her hands in front of her chest and replied frostily.

He nodded his head, he was not interested in the foolish arguments of humans. They fight over everything and backstab each other. It reminds him of his brother, his only weakness that had destroyed him.

"I love my sister a lot, she is my only weakness and I will do anything to protect her." his thoughts were broken when she continued but it only turned his wounds green.

Her cold eyes and worried face and her will to save her sibling at any cost, reminded him or his past self. His past foolish self that had died even when he was invincible!

"Then you are a fool who will get hurt in the end and die miserably. Humans are deceiving even if they are kin. Better waste your energy in yourself. Now leave my room.`` He had always been cold and arrogant but this time she felt emotions in his always blank voice that surprised her.

She blinked and looked back but the face of the man was still cold. She shrugged off the unwanted feeling as she did not want to get entangled with him emotionally. This would disrupt her plans.

"You do not need to tell me what I should do and what I should not. How would a man like you understand the importance of family?" she mocked and his eyes flared.

Flames started to engulf his body as each word stabbed him where it hurt the most. He stood up and in the next second he was standing in front of her while holding back her chin so that she did not move while looking at his burning eyes.

Her eyes widened when she felt his touch. She did not see him moving at all. Was he not sitting on the bed leisurely just a second ago. How did he even reach here and his eyes? How did they turn golden? It felt like flames were dancing in them. But instead of feeling scared by them, she felt they were attracting her.

"What do you know about me? Comment on me. Huh? You are insulting me yet you are hoping that I will help you. Are you not afraid that I will kill you for speaking to me like that?"

"........"
