Demon Island

Demon Island is a fantasy novel that tells the tale of an ordinary urban youth who, after inadvertently consuming a wish fruit from a strange realm, finds himself in the mysterious land of Demon Island. The story unfolds in a vividly fantastical world divided into four major regions: the Dragon Clan occupies the northern territory, the Demon Clan rules the west, the Ghost Clan governs the south, and the Human Clan resides in the Central Plains. In this realm, the forms of life are diverse and extraordinary, ranging from ethereal beings that transcend the cycles of life and death to demons that achieve immortality through various paths. The central plot of the novel revolves around the protagonist's adventures on Demon Island, brimming with elements of magic and exploration.

Counting Wealth

"Now, the skills I have acquired include Holy Light Bullet, Holy Flame, Holy Shield, Basic Swordsmanship, an unnamed martial arts technique, Sandstorm, Carefree Cave Palm, Petal Sweep Kick, and Platinum Glory!

Additionally, there is inexplicable mental potential.

The useful cards I possess are: Healing Cards (×7), Space Cards (×7), Small Weaponry (×2), Mechanical Repair, Dynamic Vision, Tenfold Strength Card, Perfect Accuracy Card, Beautiful Summoning Card, and my Demon Island Bank Card now holds a staggering fifty-two million demon coins.

As for combat treasures, I have the Longsword Ancient Moon, Holy Light Beetle, Power Armor, and Jack's silver long stinger, along with the black dagger belonging to the bullet.

I confined myself in my room, meticulously counting all my spoils. Julie seemed particularly fascinated by the Demon Book I obtained from the bullet. She flipped through it repeatedly before saying to me, "You know that everyone who enters Demon Island receives a Demon Book, right?"

I was bewildered by what Julie said, nodding foolishly. Julie continued, "If someone can re-enter Demon Island, they won't receive another Demon Book.

What does this imply?

What I am trying to convey is that there's only one possibility for a person to possess multiple Demon Books: they must have died before and come back to life.

Demon Island categorizes anyone who enters for the second time as a novice!"

Hearing Julie's words, a cold sweat broke out over me, and I exclaimed, "Are you saying the bullet was resurrected?"

Julie nodded solemnly, then quickly transformed her expression into a cheerful one, saying, "Exactly! Your mind is quite sharp; it seems the training camp of the Demon Exorcists is effective.

Their training results don't include intelligence enhancement, though!" I indignantly corrected Julie's teasing while asking her, "Can you please tell me how to open this Demon Book?"

I'm very eager to know what treasures the bullet had!

Julie shrugged helplessly and said loudly, "I can't help you there; the rules of Demon Island state that no one can open another person's Demon Book.

Moreover, this person has already entered Demon Island for the second time, and you killed him; his abilities are, of course, not to be underestimated, but the value of his Demon Book is quite low! There's really no need to spend more brainpower on it.

I found Julie's lack of options frustrating, so I raised my hands in surrender and earnestly requested, "Then you must be able to tell me the purpose of Snook's four combat cards, right?"

I have no choice; the cards I obtained are annotated in Demon language. On Demon Island, no matter which country a person is from, they can communicate using Demon language, as everyone possesses this primary ability card. Yet, out of the over a dozen cards Snook had, the four most crucial ones were not annotated in Demon language, leaving me unable to understand their functions. To my knowledge of foreign languages, these four cards seemed completely unfamiliar.

Julie's brow furrowed, as if considering whether to answer my question. However, she quickly brightened up, switching her expression with remarkable speed.

"You can easily find out; just go to the Demon Island Auction House and purchase a Language Card," I sighed in resignation as I inserted the auction card into my laptop, initiating my search.

Upon logging into the Demon Island Auction House website, I entered the keywords "language," and soon received numerous responses. Faced with hundreds of thousands of entries, I found myself at a loss. Julie wouldn't even tell me what language the four cards were annotated in, leaving me clueless about what kind of language card would be useful.

After browsing for a while, I finally settled on a relatively inexpensive Multi-Language Card.

The Twenty-Six Language Card, a level five functional card, allows one to grasp the following twenty-six types of languages without study: Demon language, Hell language, Fairy language, Holy Words, Ancient Hebrew, Heavenly Language, Grim Reaper language, Lame God script, Elberon script, Mora script, Holy Iris script, Dagan magical symbols, Ancient Gus magical symbols, Phoenix Phoenix language, Ahyeh language, True Purgatory magical symbols, Rofecoh divine language, Isaiah spirit text, Barbara language, Behemoth language, Ancient Alchemy True Words, Max's magical text, Hunyuan Annihilation Holy Refinement Dao, Grand True Words, Eastern Demon Clan Universal Language, Holy Song, Oracle bone script, and Heavenly Cloud Script.

The writing on this language card was entirely unfamiliar to me; although I already possessed Demon language, the origins of the other scripts indicated that this card must be a tool exclusive to many supernatural beings. Moreover, at only two hundred thousand demon coins, it was well within my price range.

Before this Twenty-Six Language Card was delivered by the Demon Island courier, I intentionally browsed through auction items related to magic arrays and teleportation gates. As expected, what Julie said was true: such technologies or treasures were priced even higher than ordinary Wish Fruits.

A basic introductory book on magic arrays would roughly cost me my entire fortune. I had considered the possibility of bidding on it, but Julie's warning stripped me of all my courage.

To traverse Demon Island, a magic array would require at least a level five magic book. What you learn from an introductory magic array certainly wouldn't fulfill your desires. You would need to invest hundreds of times more financial resources to acquire that advanced knowledge.

Abandoning the thought of learning magic arrays through monetary means, I searched for information regarding Wish Fruits. If Wish Fruits are merely used to enter and exit Demon Island, then no matter how many Wish Powers the fruit contains, they can fulfill desires.

However, if they are used to make wishes, the level of the Wish Fruit becomes critically important. Ordinary level one Wish Fruits can grant powers such as bringing terminally ill patients back to life, and they can sell for as much as one billion demon coins. For a Wish Fruit that can bestow immortality or miraculous powers, I lacked the courage to count the zeros behind such auction items.

The Demon Island courier soon delivered the Language Card I had purchased. After shutting down my computer, I placed this Language Card into the Demon Book and was astonished to find that indeed there was a language capable of deciphering the four cards left by Snook.

This useful language was the Holy Iris script, a light and ethereal tongue, where each note danced like music, imbued with immense beauty.

As I activated the Twenty-Six Language Card, I finally comprehended the nature of the four cards that Snook had left behind.
