Chapter 53

Ming Chen took He Long outside for some fresh air. The Ming family mansion had a large garden area with a small pond that had Koi fishes. Ming Chen grabbed some food for the fishes and started feeding them absentmindedly. It wasn't known what Ming Chen was thinking about, but He Long knew.

He knew that Ming Chen was thinking about how this situation came about and why his father, despite hating him, would go so far as to kick him out of the family. Ming Chen was truly stumped. He knew his father and stepmother hated him, and if they had spoken to him and told him to remove his name from the inheritance, as long as they no longer bothered him, he would comply. He was rich in his own right and owned buildings and businesses; he didn't need his grandpa's inheritance. But Ming Chen didn't understand why they wanted to remove him from the family tree altogether.

He Long went behind Ming Chen and engulfed him in a hug. Ming Chen, who felt like his mind was running wild, finally calmed down. It wasn't known how long the two had been hugging in peaceful silence, but one of the maids had come out to call Ming Chen back inside as the results were ready.

Ming Chen looked at He Long, who gave him a reassuring smile—a smile that said a million words, all of which Ming Chen needed at that moment. The two walked back inside hand in hand. Everyone was seated, waiting for the two to come in so that the results could be revealed.

Ming Chen and He Long walked in and stood beside Grandpa Ming, who was seated in the main seat. Dr. Yu had two pieces of paper and stood in front of everyone.

"From the test that was done on the two blood samples, it shows that there is no blood relation between the two," Dr. Yu said, looking from the papers to the people in the room. Ming Chen was shaken to the core. He wasn't sure how to react; he felt like his world was falling apart. He Long held onto Ming Chen to stop him from falling.

Ming Yue stood up upon hearing this and started laughing out loud. He looked at his wife, hugged her, then let her go and laughed again. He looked at Ming Chen and walked up to him. He Long didn't like the idea of this man walking towards his Ming Chen and stood in front of Ming Chen.

"See, what did I tell you? You aren't my son. We have proof now as well. Never come back here again, do you understand?" Ming Yue said to Ming Chen, who stood behind He Long. Ming Chen didn't hear anything Ming Yue said as he was still shocked by the fact that he wasn't a Ming family member. He then realized that his father might have known all along that he wasn't his son, and that's why he hated him so much. Ming Chen felt like crying. While the first and second Ming sons rejoiced in their victory, Ming Jiang, the third Ming, was worried for Ming Chen. Ming Jiang didn't care whether Ming Chen was a Ming family member or not; in his eyes and heart, Ming Chen has and always will be his family.

"What about the other test, Dr. Yu?" In the silence of the room, the sudden voice of Grandpa Ming came out. Everyone was confused about this other test he was talking about, but only Grandpa Ming and Dr. Yu knew.
