I Want To Taste You

"He didn't say, princess but I think this has something to do with the unresolved case of the pending riot. I overheard some of the servants talking about it" Ava said and Orchid raised a brow

"A riot? I didn't know a riot was going on"

"Neither did I, princess" Ava paused "Princess, do not misunderstand His Highness's actions, my guess is, he only wants to keep you safe"

"By limiting my movements?"

"He cares for you, princess" Ava replied and Orchid looked away from her "Princess-" Ava called seeing her stand up

"I'm heading inside" she said shortly 'You can take a break, Ava. I'm going to take mine"

She went to the only place she could have a peace of mind, a place where she could be alone. The library

She roamed around, trying to find a fitting book for her to drown in for the day. She looked around the tall shelves and came across a book, the book had the brightest color amongst all in the rank and she felt the need to read it

She reached out to get the book but her tiny arm didn't reach it. She tried standing on her toe but it was impossible as she was on heels

She stretched her fingers but still couldn't get it

Just as she was about to give up, a longer arm stretched from behind her and picked the book, his fingers brushing along hers

Orchid turned around in surprise and faced a broad chest, her eyes went up and met his. They stared at each other, unblinkingly in silence

Ciaran chuckled, breaking off the silence in the library and she looked away from him

"What are you doing here?" she questioned, putting up a fierce front

"I heard from someone you were upset because I didn't let you go out. I decided to drop by to see if I could lighten you up a bit"

"You told me nothing about the riot. I had no idea such was going on and you stop me from going outside for a reason I do not know"

"My wife's upset with me. Tell me, wife. What can I do to make it up to you?" he asked, taking steps closer to her such that there was only little distance between them. Her back was pressed against the shelf with one of his hand above her head and the other besides her waist, on the shelf

"Leave me be and let me read alone" she answered and he tilted his head in response

"I can't, I'm here to brighten up your mood and put a smile on your face, not let you be alone and let the anger grow deep in your heart. There should be nothing there but your unending love for me"

Orchid's eyelids fluttered in surprise at his unexpected words. She felt her stomach flutter and her cheeks getting warm

Unending love?

"What are you spewing?" Ciaran chortled and took another step towards her, he craned his neck a bit, making his face angled with hers "Ciaran-"

"We made an agreement, Orchid, right before our marriage" his arms wrapped around her waist and he pulled her, pressing her body against his

Her fingers trembled and her eyes met his. Pure anxiety gathering in her chest

"You shouldn't hold me like this-"

"Why not? You are my wife. I assume it is my right, is it not?" he inquired and she tried to look away but he locked her with his gaze "I'm thirsty, wife. We came to a clear understanding, didn't we?"

He's thirsty? What did he mean by that? He wanted her blood? Oh no!

She looked up at him, almost with a glare. He moved his face dangerously close to hers and she could smell the spicy scent and musk emitting from his body

"No, you can't!" she said, her face turning visibly anxious

"No? Why not? Our deal was valid. It's been more than a week already" he stated, his hot breath falling on her face "I kept myself from having any other because I wanted to relish the taste of yours. My fangs are itching and with a delectable meal in front of me, it's irresistible"

"I never stopped you from taking from others-"

"You didn't, but I just wanted to. Now let's put this little talk behind and get down to the main deal" he took in her scent and she swore she saw his eyes flickered "Flowers...you smell inviting" he brought his face to her neck and could smell the sweet smell of fresh blossoming flowers

"Ciaran-" she called his name to stop him from going any further, he did stop but she could still feel him breathing on her "I-I don't mind you having from any of the servants"

"I know you don't" he muttered against her skin, Orchid fisted her hands by her sides

"You-"

"I want to taste you"

She felt her body getting hot and her heart getting warmer. Why did he have to say it in such a seductive tone

His head left her neck side and his eyes locked on her lips, Orchid could feel the heat from his body. His lips moved closer to hers, brushing slightly against hers
