Judgment

7 years later, in the small, discreet village of Giana.

Our village has a tradition. The first male son of a family is to learn about the town's history as well as the three major continents.

" Demi! … Demi! " a muffled voice calls out.

Demi opened and closed his eyes tiredly.

" whats … what's going on? " demi says

Demi sits up in his bed slowly, rubbing his eyes

" Happy birthday Demi! " Xandyr and Lilly happily yell out

" Oh hey guys thank you mom and dad " demi replies.

Today is Demi's Birthday. He will be 8 years old and the age that he finally learns about the other hidden villages and the 3 great continents.

It seems like today is finally the day that I turn 8. My father told me that I was to be taken to the village elder. I wonder what he wants to talk to me about. Father was saying something about a village tradition that has been told to a child that has turned 8 years of age.

Today is a good day. Nice breeze with the sun warming everything. It seems like a good time to lie in the shade under the tree and take a light ..* yawn*.. Nap.

3 to 4 hours later

" Demi!... Demi! "

A girl's voice calls out

" demi! It's time to go! "

"Cirris, .. you know you don't have to yell in my ear to wake up. I don't sleep like you " Demi replies, awkwardly looking away.

" wHAt ArE YOu TrYinG tO sAy!!!? " Cirris replies back

"Nevermind me, let's just head to the village elder " Demi said.

I actually have never seen the village elder. let alone heard anything about him.I have a good feeling that I will be surprised by what I will find about this village and the surrounding villages.

10 mins later -

"Cirris, how many kids are here? Looks like there are about 16 kids here " Demi asked.

"Um, if I'm right, there should be about 23 kids here" Cirris answered back.

" Alright listen up everyone. You guys will now meet the village elder. Everyone, get into one line and enter the building. From there you will take a seat on the floor. Remember to be polite and quiet. Let's go " a Gaurd says

It's very dark in here, but something strange is happening. My eyes hurt a little bit. But I can see a little line of grey on the floor. I think it's leading me through the dark.

" hey Cirrus follow me ok " Demi Says

" ok " Cirrus responded

I think I see seats over there, but I'm not sure if I should continue to follow this line. It's taking me to the back of the building, I think.

" Uh, I don't think we are supposed to be going back here Demi "

[Judgment Percent- 25%]

"Me neither, but don't you see this grey line leading us there? "

"Demi, are you ok? I don't see anything, it's super dark here. "

" yea im ok although my eyes hurt a little bit. Oh look in here "

Demi and Cirris walk through the door. But as they walk through, the door shuts and Demi and Cirris feel like they are getting weighed down by something tremendously heavy. Both are unable to speak as they are trying hard to get up off the ground. The ground starts breaking little by little under the immense weight it holds. Demi and Cirris are writhing in agony on the ground, but it appears hopeless. A few minutes pass by, and both Demi and Cirris pass out.

Demi begins to wake up with him going in and out of sleep. He feels the weight that he suffered through minutes prior is gone.

"What's... going on?" Demi cries out, exhausted.

" Oh good, you have woken up. I am quite sorry that I-"

A young woman says but is quickly cut off.

[Judgment Percent 35%]

" who… who are you?" Demi calls out.

"Man, no one recognizes me these days. It's like they are not taught anything at home, "the woman frustratingly says

A woman who seems to appear young and of above-average height appears in front of Demi wearing a wide-brimmed black hat and nice short hair put in a bun to the right of her.

" I am the village elder. My name is Hope LongCock. "

"Wait, you're the elder?" Demi replied.

" Uh yea, I just said that. wait why are you looking like that? " Hope replied

" Well, you know, with having elder in your name, I would have thought you would have looked older and shorter" Demi replied, looking away awkwardly to the side.

" What is that supposed to mean!!?? You insignificant pip-squeak" hope angrily replied back.

" I'm sorry, please don't hurt me." Demi replied scaredly.

[Judgment Percent- 37%]

" Hm, so you are blessed with the power of Judgment " hope said

" power of judgment? What is that?" replied Demi

" The power of judgment is the power that the gods bestow on very few in this realm. Everyone's judgment is different. Powers are usually put on a scale from least destructive to catastrophic. Powers like healing or teleporting are closer to least destructive and powers like reality manipulation are closer to catastrophic. "

"Wait, does this mean you have a judgment too?" Demi asked.

"Well, I do. You see, I used my power against you earlier. You see, my power is gravity manipulation. I can push or pull things towards me, make things levitate, or just crush things. I have a wide arsenal with this power of mine. " Hope said

"People awaken their powers very differently from others, but there are ways to make this process easier." Hope said
