Nemesis and Snow
Living on the island was not too different from being in the white room. She was alone, and her life involved a lot of meditation. The primary difference was that she was outside, so she could tell day and night. It was a relief to finally have a way to know the general time of the day.
Furthermore, she could track the days. Naturally, she was excited at first about being outside. She was diligent in counting the days.
She wanted to know how long she would be trapped in the wild place. However, after forty or so days, she got tired of it. She realised it did not matter how long she stayed on the island. Keeping track of the days would only frustrate her and not add value to her life.
The other consistent thing in her life was the attack from the animals. Almost every morning and evening, the creatures would show up before her and attack her, trying to tear her apart. She tried to avoid them for a while, but they were quite persistent.
