Ruby Golem

Somewhere inside the Great Dungeon 25th floor.

There was a circle formation to surround a monster. Knights, Heroes, and some people from Guild Magic are surrounding the monster while showering the monster with magic.

This is Brian's plan, the vanguard will buy some time for the magic to chant their magic. He asked for the impossible because he requested the magic girl to shot their best chantless magic consecutively until they reach their limit. It was to bought time so that Arata can chant his best holy skill, "God Wills," but if the magic girl unable to buy enough time, it will be Brian and the others turn to keep the Ruby golem busy.

They keep their distance so they didn't get caught up inside the shower of magic.

"Count of three till the magic stop."

One of the magic girls said it with as loud as she could, that it looked like she actually gives it her best. Her name was Vira, she was the girl that Arata just saved from the Ruby Golem.

(As expected it cannot hold for 40 seconds 'huh?)

Brian thinks as he looked at Arata that still closed his eyes while chanting his best skill that needed a long chant. Actually, it needed at least forty seconds until the chant is done, and the magic girl bought them 20 seconds, now the left is up to the vanguard.

"3...2...1..."

The same time the "one" is said, Shizuku leaps to Ruby Golem with her best speed, her unsheathed sword is cladded with lightning as she held the handle with her right hand. But, the Ruby Golem is not visible to her as her vision is blocked by the smoke from the magic that just hit the place.

But she was stopped when the smoke is cleared up. The Ruby Golem that visible on her vision is, unscathed. Even the arm that is supposed to be severed is there in the right place.

"Wha-!?"

She opened both of her eyes wide in surprise, but not that long she came back to her sense and tried to attack the golem.

She used her drawing technique (Battoujutsu) that are cladded in lightning while aiming the golem leg. As she expected, her sword cut the golem leg easily.

But, instead of rising its roar, the golem calmly griped its fist and swung it to Shizuku. But, Shizuku easily dodged it with minimum movement and take the chance to sever its arm once again.

But this time her sword couldn't cut it completely as her sword got stuck middle way. And that made Shizuku panicked a bit as she tried to pull out her sword. But of course, the golem wouldn't let that chance go. The golem used one of its hand and try to catch Shizuku with one of its hand. But,

"Burn everything, "Blow"."

A small mutter can be heard, and a bow can be seen flying toward the golem hand that's tried to catch Shizuku. Booom, explosive sound can be heard as the bow hit the target. The one who shot it was Runa with her bow contained elementary magic, "Blow". She controlled the output power so the explosive doesn't hurt Shizuku.

The explosive did prevent the golem to catch Shizuku but, Shizuku's problem is not solved because her sword still stuck on the golem's hand. But next, Yamato appeared next to Shizuku out of nowhere. Seems like the moment he saw Shizuku in danger, Yamato leap to where his friend is without thinking. Then, Yamato used his shield to push Shizuku's sword that's stuck.

"Ooooh." He yelled to show his guts.

The shield pushed the sword out and resulted the golem lost its hand once again. The golem griped its bole strongly as if won't let it go and smashed it to the ground. Baaaamm, the sound echoed inside the floor and dust is on the air blocking their vision for the Golem.

But Shizuku and Yamato who's close to the Ruby Golem can see it clearly, that the severed arm and legs are healing its self as if the time is rewinded. This made the two sense the danger and jumped back to keep their distance.

Next, from behind Brian is already flying, he swung his sword upside down, but CLankkk. Brian is aiming where the ruby is at the golem body, but it was abnormally hard. Noticed it was useless to use his sword, he started to stretch his hand and began to chant.

"Explode, "Fire Ball"."

After that, a ball of fire appeared on Brian's hand. And without any delay, he threw the fireball to the golem. Booom! at first, it exploded but, the fire started to spread all around the golem's body. Groooarrrr!! it raised its roar. But not long after that, the long-awaited trump card holder is done with his chant and is already in his ready to throw stance.

"This is the mighty wills, "God Wills"."

The spear emitted a dazzling light as Arata look at his surrounding to make sure that no one will get caught inside his skill blow.

"Shizuku, Yamato, Brian-san. Fall back!"

When they heard that, the three immediately fall back just like Arata said. Next, Arata threw his spear, his current best skill that he had with a hope to win.

The spear emitted even more dazzling light on its way toward the target. And, DooooNNNNN! The ground vibrates as the spear reached its target. The spear pushed the golem all the way to the wall, and the impact is big enough to make the floor vibrates.

"With this.. ha... ha.. ha.," Arata said it while panting

"Did that do it?"

"I hope so."

Yamato and Shizuku returned to Arata's side. Arata's breathed heavily after using such an enormous amount of magic. That skill earlier was his trump card. And most of his magic is used to fuel it.

The place where the Ruby Golem is blown is full of smoke, they have to wait for the smoke to clear up to make sure enemy state. The vibrates made Arata think that it was already his win. But,

"No way..."

Ruby golem is there, unscathed. This made the whole party went panic, the trump card they held did nothing to the enemy, their "Hero" figure is already tired due to magic exhaustion.

The Ruby Golem held its bole while glaring at Arata. The golem pointed its bole upward and swung it as strong as possible. Baaammm, once again the ground vibrates, the vibrate is enough to make everyone fell on their knees.

Next, the golem readied its shoulder towards Arata and run as fast as possible as if the golem tried to tackle Arata.

"Don't just stand there! Dodge!"

Shizuku was the first to notice that golem is aiming for them, and already moved first and yelled toward Arata and Yamato. When Yamato heard that, it was already too late for him to dodge while carrying Arata. But, he readied his Shield and start to shout.

"Come and protect me! BARIERRRR!"

Right after the shout, many light shields appeared in front of Yamato and Arata. Yamato stands in front of Arata while protecting his friend with his shield.

Booom! The shield exploded as the explosive sound can be heard when the golem came into contact with the light shield. "There are more than 20 shields, I hope with this.." Runa thought inside her head after trying to guess the number of the shields.

But shield by shield is destroyed with its mountain-like body until there were about 5-meter distances between Yamato and the Ruby Golem. there was about 7 more shield that's yet about to explode. Boom Boom!! the light-shield is exploded one by one, but as expected most of the momentum that golem carried is already killed by the light-shield.

Booom!

The last-shield just exploded, and the golem was just about to bump with Yamato's shield. Bamm! The contact made an explosive sound, but Yamato wasn't blown away when his shield bumped with golem's tackle. He was able to hold off the shoulder tackle from Ruby Golem.

On the spectator seat, Runa was looking at the golem. Ruby Golem is a clever monster, she thought inside her head. She had a plan but, she didn't know the secret of the healed part of the severed body part on the golem's body.

So she decided to ask Shizuku who has fought the golem from the close distance.

"Shizuku, why is its severed body part is reattached?"

Why Runa ask with reattached not regrowing because of healing magic was because she couldn't see any severed arms and leg anywhere. So she just assumed that the severed part is "reattached" to its body.

"I don't know the exact answer but, the severed part is healed.... no, it was as if the time is rewinded, and the severed part is reattaching on its own," Shizuku answered while looking at the golem.

"I see. Shizuku, please hear me out..."

"What?"

"I have a plan."

When she heard that Runa have a plan, she was a bit worried about the plan. And tried to ask,

"What plan is that?"

"Let's go to Brian-san first, it'll be a pain to explain twice."

"Yes."

Brian asked Runa with a serious expression and was answered by Runa with his resolved face.

"This is the only way," Runa add.

"Runa..." Shizuku said it with his face looking down.

"Shizuku, I know this is a bit reckless. But,"

"What is a bit? You call this a bit? I won't let you execute this plan." Shizuku yelled while looking at Runa, next she glare at Brian, "Brian-san too, why are you just nod your head and accept this reckless plan? I won't let it."

"Shizuku, please. Take a look at your surrounding. Yamato and Arata are still fighting with that state, the people from magic guild cannot even stand anymore because of magic exhaustion, all the knight is injured."

"Even so..."

Runa who tried to convince Shizuku can see her biting her lips, it made her remember of the day they have a chat inside the library. Shizuku's face when she's worried, But soon after that, resolve is visible on Shizuku eyes and she said,

"Then I will go too."

"But.." Runa tried to stop her but, when their eyes met Runa just smiled and, "It can't be helped."

Next Runa looked to Brian and ask her to start the plan.

"Please give the thing to Shizuku, I'll help Yamato and Arata in the meantime,"

"I got it,"

After that, Brian go to do his role to the plan.

"Wait!"

Shizuku said as she stretched her hand toward Runa. But, Runa already ran toward the battlefield and can't hear her voices. At that moment, she recalled her dreams. But she slaps her cheeks and told herself, "She will be fine, I believe in her." she repeated that over and over in her mind to ease her worry.

"IF SOMETHING HAPPEN TO YOU, I'LL START CALLING YOU ONEE-SAMA YOU KNOW?"

Shizuku yelled loud enough that her voice is echoing inside the floor, and it made Runa felt a chill on her back, and look toward the voice source.

"I got it."
