Boost or Hindrance

Aurelie looked at the news articles on her phone. The tabloids were full of pictures of her and Nicolas. They were speculating about her relationship with Nicolas. A small smile played on her lips. She could just about imagine Valentina's rage.

She, Valentina, had actually followed them home. The look on her face when she'd seen Auri with Nicolas had been exhilarating. It had made her night. Even more so when she'd heard the woman walk out of Nicolas's apartment a few minutes later. She had gone to sleep with the joy of knowing she had unsettled the woman. That was good. It would be helpful for the next move.

"What are you smiling at?" Sharon asked and Auri looked up at her.

"Nothing in particular," Auri replied as she bit back her smile.

Sharon kept her mouth shut but her face said it all. She raised an eyebrow in Auri's direction.

"I'm just finding it humorous how the media find ways to put implications to nothing," Auri tried again.
