<Vanessa POV>
"Not with those exact words, my dear, but I suggest you get to know that boy firstly before you even think about becoming a couple or even friends. Some things are not what our eyes see, my dear daughter…"
"But mom, we just meet, there's nothing between us."
"That's more than enough for now, dear. Did I ever tell you how I met your father?"
"Countless of times, look, mom, we just meet and for the first in like my whole life, I found someone that I believe I could befriend for real. We both like the same type of music, we both share the same passion for cooking…though he has a strange obsession with … never mind about that. We have a lot of things in common mom."
"I'm glad that you have found a friend, but I only want you to be careful, ok sweetheart?"
"I understand mom. You don't have to worry about it, after all even if he's a jerk, he's a good guy."
"I hope so. Let's go home, dear. Your father is waiting for us."
<David Seier POV>
Fucking country and their stupid laws. Listen to them no alcohol consumption under the age of 21, only if I would have gone with mom to Europe, at least there I wouldn't have to enjoy my hobby secretly.
Opening my phone, I quickly write a message to my aunt, telling her that I will be late today. Thankfully for me, even though she forbids me from drinking alcohol in her house, she didn't forbid me to go back to my chalet to do it there, best aunt of the year award goes to her.
While the distance from the town to my chalet was almost fifteen kilometers, I could easily cover that distance without too much problem.
Half an hour later, I found myself in the forest, running towards my home, but just as I was about to turn left towards my cabin, for the first time in my life I smiled blood that didn't appear to come from a human or an animal and if that wasn't strange, then the fact that I smell blood from a few hundred meters away in the middle of the forest.
Now, I could just go on my merry way and forget about this, but I couldn't let something that may be dangerous anywhere near my home, not to mention something that could hurt innocent lives in my hometown.
Making my towards the direction from where I smelled the blood, I was surprised to see some signs of a fight that happened or if my ears are not playing tricks on me still happening.
What I saw couldn't be described in words, but for the first time in my short life, I felt scared and as much as would have loved to run away, my legs wouldn't budge no matter what I tried to do. That wasn't all by any means, with each passing second, I felt something waking up inside of me and each second made me lose control over my body.
Sensing that someone was near it, the creature turned towards me and I swear to God that I felt my heart stopping for a moment before it start beating at an alarming rate. At this point, I barely even felt my body and without me realizing what it's happening, my body was slowly transforming itself into something that could rival the creature that was ready to end my life.
Before I could even comprehend what the heck it's in front of me, I found myself pinned to the ground with a grotesque creature salivating blood and pieces of flesh on my face. I tried to struggle, but even with my supernatural strength, I was just a strong human, while my enemy was something that you would find in a horror story.
Unfortunately for me, I had to meet one of the most popular creatures around this side of the world: A Wendigo.
The Wendigo was gaunt to the point of emaciation, its desiccated skin pulled tightly over its bones. With its bones pushing out against its skin, its complexion the ash-gray of death, and its eyes pushed back deep into their sockets, the Wendigo looked like a gaunt skeleton recently disinterred from the grave. What lips it had were tattered and bloody ... Unclean and suffering from suppuration of the flesh, the Wendigo gave off a strange and eerie odor of decay and decomposition, of death and corruption.
Feeling the saliva and blood dripping on my face, I could only struggle even harder than before, but unfortunately for me, the Wendigo was stronger than me so, like any person that wasn't completely sane, I bite the neck of the creature.
Even though I managed to rip a piece of its neck flesh and some blood start flowing out of the wound, the Wendigo barely even flinched, but something has changed about it…Fear, as soon as bite into its flesh, the creature got scared, after all, who in his right mind would bite such a monster?
The exciting smell of fear was the final ingredient for what resided inside of me to be awakened completely and before I could realize what the hell was happening to me, I found myself pinning the Wendigo to a nearby tree, but on contrary to what I saw at first, right now, I stood taller than the creature.
Taking a quick look at my right arm, I saw a huge greyish pawn with some very sharp claws ready to rip and tear anything in its path, and even though I should be excited for transforming into a true werewolf, something was amiss, after all, it's still a week too early for me, not to mention that I don't know any wolf reaching at least two meters tall, not to mention that I was towering over the Wendigo which is supposed to reach up to three meters tall depending on the individual.
Fortunately for me, this one was quite short which is both a good thing and a bad one since it's faster or it should be theoretically.
Without wasting any more time on it, I pierced the creature's hearth with my claws while at the same time I bite on its neck with my razor-sharp teeth ripping a huge part of its neck which ended the unfortunate creature without too much agony. A quick and somewhat painless death, not the proudest hunt, but certainly the most dangerous one.
Thank God, I transformed or I would have been the one being ripped and torn apart by that monster.
I continue to eat the creature without thinking about how it looked or what taste it has and I'm pretty sure that's due to the wolf instincts taking control over my body thus making me eat this disgusting looking creature, When I was done eating the creature, I've decided to take one last look at the dead bodies that remained and knowing that I couldn't do anything to help them, I decided to leave this place as soon as possible, after all, someone would stumble across them any time soon, hopefully.
When I arrived at my cabin, I managed to see my reflexing on the window and I have to admit that it scared me a little. The door was easily two meters tall and I stood with at least one, maybe two heads taller than the door and that wasn't all. My already huge built, made my transformation even bigger thus making me even scary, add the fact that I'm covered in blood would surely scare to death a normal person.
Unfortunately for me, I've become a War-wolf or as it's known as the classical werewolf, the strongest werewolf and at the same the most dangerous one known to man.
Carefully making my way inside, I sit down in the living room and tried to go back to my human form.
Surprisingly enough, it wasn't that hard to transform from my wolf form to my human one and as soon as I've regained my human body, I tried to see if I could transform into my wolf form and it went pretty well, I could say.
At first, I didn't manage to transform immediately, but after five or six trials, I got the hang of it and I believe it will become easier the more I transform.
After my excitement calmed down, I decided to take a shower and sleep, of course not before I purred myself some old rum in a glass.
<Next day, Unknown POV>
"That's all officers?"
"Yes, mam. That's all we found out, whatever or whoever it's probable death seeing how much blood it lost here. Unfortunately, that thing managed to kill four people and from their wounds, we tend to believe that it's some wild animal, maybe a bear or even a wild cat."
"I see. Thank you, officer."
Turning my head towards my husband, I could see that both of us thought about the same thing. Not wanting to spend even more time here, we both walked towards our car and when we were sure that no one could hear us, I've decided to ask him.
"Do you really believe it's…"
"A Wendigo, Miranda, that was a Wendigo hand for sure, but what could have killed a Wendigo in such a brutal way? It's clearly another supernatural creature, but what kind? "
"I could try to see if I could see what happened last night."
"So that's why you took a lot of blood from that puddle. Thankfully for us, Wendigo's blood doesn't dry up as fast as any normal blood. We also have to be sure that our daughter will be safe, dear."
"Don't worry about that, I've already made our house a safe zone and no creature known to us would be able to get past our barrier, not to mention that our daughter wears my medallion and after I've talked to her yesterday, I expect her to bring her new friend to our house sometime soon."
"Never! MY Sweet Baby would not get taken away from!"
"I have never said that dear. After all, have you forgotten who am I?"
