Ambai slowly rolled over and tried her best to crawl. Her arms and legs were stronger than before and the distance she could travel exponentially increased.

It had been seven months since they came to Australia and things have been surprisingly smooth.

Rebus was home-schooled by his mother, and she and Nyx enjoyed their time roaming this beautiful country.

But there was one thing that bugged her a bit. It was Rebus's new mom, Haily. She was.... quite peculiar. She appeared all sweet and kind in front of Rebus but when it was just them, she would frown all the time.

As Ambai was moving towards the sofa, a pair of shoes appeared in front of her.

She looked up with her eyes wide open.

Rebus's mum Haily sat down with her eyes narrowed. "What are you looking at, midget?" she raised her legs as if to push her away.
