DEATH

Year:2027

Place: New York City, in the main office at the top of zephyr tower

"David you just take a breath and calm down, don't do something that you will regret, we both know that you are not in your right mind, so just put down the gun and everything will be okay. I won't say what happened here to anyone nor will I complain to the police. I can give you any amount of money you want, just say it and it will be yours."

Michael was shouting at David who was pointing a gun at him.

Michael was a 28-year-old man who became one of the youngest billionaires on the planet. He single-handedly created zephyr industries which is a top industry in the world right now.

Ever since he was a child Michael was obsessed with money, he was so obsessed that even his parents were starting to worry for him. His parents always said to him that money is not everything and some bullshit like money cannot buy happiness. But for Michael money was his happiness. And he had done many bad things on his way to becoming a rich man. He was a person who believed that if you are not caught or found out by the police no matter how many crimes you do, you will not become a criminal. But no matter how hard you try you will not be able to predict every situation and no matter how hard you try to hide a crime you will always leave a clue.

Seeing David pointing a gun at him, Michael suddenly remembered about a person, her name was Diana. She was a journalist who was so persistent in revealing the true form of the young billionaire to the world. When Michael finds out about this, he just approached her to try and talk some sense into her head. But she was too persistent in her decision to go against him. After all, she was just a naïve fool who was blinded by the pride of a journalist. So, Michael just arranged for a guy to finish her and he easily disposed of her. He also made it look like Diana was dead on a crossfire in a church between psycho and police.

But her father David knew that Diana was after Michael and just when she got some solid evidence against him, she was suddenly dead. It does not take much time for David to realize that she was plotted against by Michael. After realizing it he tried to approach the court but he could not provide any solid evidence and couldn't get a good lawyer, he was extremely depressed because he lost his only family and he couldn't even bring the culprit to justice. Rejected by the law itself the father made a decision to take the law into his own hand...

Coming back to the present,

Hearing Michael trying to talk his way-out David becomes angrier and angrier and he finally pulled the trigger of the gun and shot Michael in his chest, the gunshot reverbed across the entire building and people started to come to the office. David had a clear look of happiness in his eyes and he muttered to himself

"I finally avenged you, Diana, now you can rest in peace"

After saying this David ran towards the nearest balcony and jumped out of it. In this world his everything was his daughter a world without her was like a living hell for him, so after he had taken his revenge, he just ended his life.

In a completely black void, a white silhouette was floating aimlessly. It was the soul of Michael. He was continuously shouting to himself

"That son of b***, he actually killed me for that stupid dead wh**e Diana. Both that father and daughter are absolutely crazy "

Just like this he continuously shouted until he went all his emotion towards the father and daughter. It was then Michael started to regain his cool, he looked at his surrounding but all he could see was endless darkness and all he could feel was a slight pain, but as time goes Michael could feel that the slight feeling of pain he had slowly started to increase.

At first, he could only feel like some small bee was stinging him but then he started to feel like ten bees were stinging then the ten turned to a hundred, and the hundred turned into a thousand. Michael was screaming and groaning in pain. But as time goes by Michael feels like his skin was being peeled off, and after that, he felt like he was thrown into a boiling bucket of oil. Even though he was a soul and does not have any skin and body he could still feel an extreme amount of pain. The amount of pain he was receiving was going high as time passes by.

After almost fifty years in the void

Michael almost lost all his sanity, at first Michael thought that he would be able to get used to this pain but as time passed by the pain only increased.

As Michael was flowing endlessly in the void, he saw a purple silhouette. Michael was not surprised because at this point, he had already started to hallucinate very often and he thought that it was just another hallucination. But the purple silhouette came close to him and created a blue cubic barrier surrounding both of them. Suddenly the pain Michael was feeling had slowly started to decrease and his sanity was also coming back.

When Michael's soul first entered the void, it was the size of a normal human but now his soul was only at the size of a newborn baby. But inside this blue cube created by the purple silhouette, Michael's soul was slowly healing.

After some time, Michael asked the question he wanted to ask since the moment he entered the void.

A/N: It is my first novel, and this is my first time even writing something with 1000 words, I know I made a lot of mistakes so please tell me about it. I am writing this as a training experience for my main novel so all suggestions and guidance are welcomed
