"If that were true… Amon wouldn't have brought you here in the first place."
Lilith stiffened.
Then, she whirled her head around to look at Sicily. "What?"
Sicily sighed and patted her cheek. "It's true. If you were truly a burden, Amon would have never saved you. He would have left you to fend for yourself."
Lilith opened her mouth but said nothing. She couldn't imagine her life different from the way it was now. She couldn't imagine living without Sicily as her mother who always forgave her numerous antics.
Neither could she picture never meeting King Blanc and his family—never knowing of this world undetected by her own kind.
The Kingdom of Gehenna was her home.
And the reason why she had all of this was… all thanks to Amon.
As Lilith absorbed this new information, Sicily squeezed her hand and made her look up. "I'm sorry I can't tell you more than this but know that Amon is doing what he thinks is best for you."

Lilith was in the bathtub when she was recalling what Sicily had told her. She further soaked herself in as she closed her eyes, furrowing her brows together as she wondered why and how Amon have saved her.
"Because of him... I'm in the Kingdom of Gehenna?"
Lilith mumbled to herself, now further soaking herself in the warm water to shut herself up. But still, she wondered in her mind.
'Why did he save me? For what reason? And how?'
As she was contemplating for herself, Lilith heard a knock on the bathroom door, getting her attention.
"Lilith! Don't soak yourself too much in the bathtub. It will make you dizzy."
"Yes, Sicily, I'm coming~!"
Lilith then stood up from the tub and then drained it. With her wrapping herself in her towel, she then removed the chopsticks that held her hair in place, setting it on the table for her to leave the bathroom.
She didn't mind Sicily still treating her like a child even though she is 22 years old. To her, it's the sweetest thing one could do especially she was not raised by her real mother.
She never met her real parents, but even then, she is happy to be here since she might have been goners if she were not here.
But thinking about this now, it is because of Amon... and so, Lilith further wondered about it.
Lilith wiped her body with her towel as Sicily prepared her panties and night gown on her bed.
"Can't I know why he saved me?"
"Oh, please, Lilith..." Sicily rolled her eyes at her as she put both of her hands on her waist. "I already told you that what I told you is important enough. You cannot ask me for more--I have promised I won't but since you were being so dramatic... I had to."
"Aaaw..."
Lilith wore her underwear and then wore her night gown. Every time she slept, she always didn't wear her bra as she found it difficult to breathe. She loved letting it lose so that she could sleep comfortably.
"But do you know the feeling of reading a story and then suddenly, you're left on a cliffhanger?"
"Well, yes," Sicily said, getting the towel of Lilith for her to hang later on. "But that doesn't mean that I have to tell you about it some other time. Sometimes, the next part of the story is better told in another person's perspective. Not mine."
"Tsk..." Lilith clicked her tongue. "You're so witty, Sicily."
"Well, of course," Sicily agreed proudly, now flicking Lilith's forehead to further scold her. "Now go rest. I know this won't make you fall asleep, but you have to rest. Read or browse your phone until you fall asleep or whatever."
And before Lilith could even bother her even further, Sicily already left the room, leaving the young lady alone.
"Geez... how will I be able to know?"
Lilith let out a sigh as she now stood up to turn off her lights. She then turned on her lampshade beside her bed for a moment and then laid down, wrapping herself underneath her blanket.
'I wonder what he's doing right now...'
Lilith touched the top of her head. She then closed her eyes as if to relive the moment he had with the Grim Reaper a while ago.
She started patting her head softly. She smiled as she faintly remembered how Amon patted her head 19 years ago, and how he patted her head today.
How weird and amazing it is that even though a lot of years have passed, she still felt and remembered the gentle and kind sensation that Amon made her feel.
She wondered if those two events could have meant differently considering the big year gap those two events had.
Lilith then opened her eyes. She also recalled that ever since Amon left, there were times that she had asked about him to Sicily, the king, and his adviser. Often, they would tell her that he is out for work since he is the Grim Reaper.
As she grew, she always felt that other than his powers being kept a secret, that there are vital information that are hidden from her.
And now, slowly, she could finally connect the missing links together.
She didn't expect that the other important piece of information is the fact that Amon saved her and took her here in the Kingdom of Gehenna.
But for whatever reason?
Lilith went silent for a while as she let her mind wander further. However, before she could even be lost in her thoughts, her phone suddenly rang.
The moment she picked it up, she furrowed her eyebrows together and wondered why Nadia is calling her this late at night when they usually don't talk until the next day.
"Yes?"
Lilith answered the call, putting her phone against her ear so she could hear her.
"What's up? You don't usually call at this time."
"I know!" Nadia's voice was obviously laced with excitement. "But putting that aside... want to come with us to the human world?"
'Huh?'
Hearing that made Lilith immediately sit up, her eyes twinkling like stars as she remembered how long she hoped to go to the world above.
"I want to go, I want to go! Damn, I want to go!"
And here is the last chapter for today~ for that matter, remembering that they are trying so hard to keep her in the kingdom, what then will happen knowing that she will go to the human world?
