Volume 7: Chapter 2: King of All

"Who sent you?"

The beast lay in tatters, ripped into pieces, with only a torso and head remaining.

If it were anyone else, the outcome would have been wildly different.

Unfortunately, his opponent was none other than the King above all Kings, Lord Solaris.

After sensing the deaths of at least ten lesser gods, Solaris took the matter into his own hands.

And he dealt with the creature rather swiftly.

Monster did not stand a chance.

"I will ask you again…."

Solaris stabbed his spear into the creature's flesh, burning it upon contact.

Monster screamed in pain, but Solaris did not feel merciful.

This creature was different in nature from a Titan. Most of the Titans were currently sealed away in the Purgatory after all.

Its energy signature reminded Solaris of a strange mix, similar to that of an angel, but far more powerful, with a hint of a deity.

Creature's power was unfocused, almost like a feral animal acting upon its basic instincts. If it had focused its power, this monster could give Primary Gods a run for their money. The Secondary deities did not stand a chance.

Solaris: "Who sent you?"

Creature's only response was…

"…ather…muuust find ….ather…."

Solaris: "What?"

Solaris: "What is it you speak of? Could it be…has he finally come to challenge me? Where is he? Where is the King of Evil and Darkness? Where is the King of Black?"

But the creature kept repeating one word 'Ather….ather….ather'

Suddenly, marks appeared on the creature's body.

They were not extension of the monster's magic; instead it seemed like something that was cast on the creature beforehand.

Before Solaris could react, the creature's form vanished without a trace.

It was a remotely cast teleportation spell and a powerful one at that.

Solaris clenched his fist.

Again, his questions remained unanswered.

Again, he was no closer to finding his greatest adversary than he was before.

Tiri's words echoed in his mind.

Tiri: "The day shall come, when he will rise and you shall fall"

Even in death, Tiri mocked Solaris's inability to prevent his potential downfall.

Tiri: "King who was born against a King who was made, who shall triumph in the end, I wonder?"
