The Beginning Of The Battle

Asher was looking at the wall clock eagerly. The time wasn't passing. It was an hour since Ethan and Rosie left.

"Oh God". He frowned, talking to himself.

"What happened?". Ryan asked.

"No.. Nothing ". Asher shook his head.

"Want more Bacardi?". Henry offered.

"No". Asher smiled. "Thanks".

Henry shrugged and went into the kitchen. "Guys he's losing his cool". He whispered to Jaxon and Josiah.

"Don't worry.. everything is going so smoothly. Ethan confessed and Rosie's reaction was_ good". Jaxon told.

"What will happen next?". Josiah asked.

"Nothing, Stupid!". Jaxon shrugged. He tasted the sauce with his finger. "Ethan would not advance from here".

"Hmm". Josiah nodded.

"Ahh! Spring Onions! Ethan come back now". Jaxon said.

Ethan and Rosie were coming back home. This time, Rosie was driving. Spring Onions were resting behind.

Ethan was staring at Rosie. She was scared by his gaze.

"Look, you're making me uncomfortable,Ethan". She said.

"Really? I'll sit at the back ". Ethan looked back.

"No.. I mean, just don't stare at me like that". Rosie smiled.

"Okay sorry". Ethan said and looked straight.

Asher walked out of the house. He took out a cigarette from his pocket. Looking at the sky, he enjoyed smoking. Meanwhile, Jaxon's car entered. It was Rosie and Ethan.

Ethan hoped out of the car and opened the back door. He picked up the spring onions as Rosie stepped out of the car. She locked it and was talking and laughing with Ethan.

Asher was spectating them. Ethan caught his gaze and smiled.

"Gotta go. Jaxon's getting mad". He winked at Rosie and went inside.

Rosie walked slowly towards Asher. She was continuously grinning at him. Asher threw the cigarette away. "Hey Girl". He spread his hands to welcome her.

"Hi". Rosie chuckled.

"Enjoyed?". Asher asked as she gave a hug to her.

"Yeah". Rosie nodded. "He's a good company".

"Hmm". Asher said. "Indeed he is".

"You agree?". Rosie asked.

"Yep.. he's irresistible". Asher said.

"Well said". Rosie smiled.

At night, when the group was ready to leave, Ray arrived. He had someone with him as well.

"I got the whole BBC". He chuckled.

"He's_ Mark". Ethan recognized him at once.

"Yeah". Ray nodded. "You can ask anything from him.. he'll not lie".

"Okay?". Ethan was listening carefully.

Ray kicked Mark at the back of his knee and he fell to the ground immediately.

"Let me and my family go". Mark pleaded.

"Wow Ray! You are a legend! You kidnapped his family to blackmail him? I never thought THIS!". Josiah giggled.

"Lemme go". Mark was sobbing.

"We WILL_ but before that, you'll convey everything you know about the party to Ethan". Ray said.

"I promise I will. But how Ethan's standing in front of me when he was long dead?". Mark asked.

"You shouldn't care.. he wasn't dead". Jaxon replied.

"Speak up Bloody Monster". Ethan glared at him.

"The passcode is VH506B.. The dressings will be long black clocks and all will cover their faces in order to look the same.. about 32000 monsters will be joining the party". Mark told. "What else?You can destroy us in minutes".

"Well,it's good that you know". Ethan said.

"What's the timing?". Jaxon asked.

"Exact 12:00 am". Mark replied.

"Hmm". Ethan rubbed his palms.

"People will come in groups". Mark said. "Five each".

"Alright". Ethan stopped him. "I know the rest of it. Ray, did you made sure that you brought him here without letting anyone notice?".

"Don't worry I have everything under control". Ray winked at Ethan.

"Take him to the basement". Jaxon ordered Henry. "He'll stay there until we get rid of them".

"Sure". Henry said and pulled Mark up.

"Where's my family? My children? My wife?". Mark asked.

"They're okay Mark". Ethan reassured him. "I promise we'll not harm them".

"I trust you Ethan". Mark said.

"Thank you for that". Ethan said with an expressionless face. He grew serious and pale and walked out of the house.

"We'll take our leave now, Jaxon". William said.

"Sure". Jaxon nodded. "Drive Safely and Take care. See you tomorrow".

"Goodnight". William said in a low voice and the group left.

"What will happen after they fight and win?". Rosie asked as they were driving back to home.

Asher, who was driving, looked at Rosie in the mirror and smiled. "We should only care about Alexa". He replied.

"Yeah.. absolutely right". Ryan agreed.

"No. I think Rosie's question is valid". William interrupted. "I too, am eager to know what will happen after it".

"Why don't you ask them then?". Asher said.

"Maybe tomorrow". William chuckled.

"What about having an ice cream?". Asher asked.

"Nice idea". Ryan said excitingly.

"Sure". William nodded. "Pull over".

"Hmm". Asher stopped the car near an ice cream shop.

Ethan, Jaxon, Josiah, Ray and Henry sat in the lawn, watching the moon.

"It's a full moon today". Josiah smiled looking at the sky.

"It's beautiful". Henry sighed.

"God! I missed this". Ethan said.

"Patience bores fruit". Jaxon gave Ethan a pat on his sturdy chest.

"I don't even want to recall the pain I went through. It gives me goosebumps". Ethan smiled.

"Great pains are meant for Great people". Ray said to Ethan.

Ethan looked at Ray and kept on staring at him.

"Stand up". He said to him.

Ray didn't knew the reason behind it but he stood up in deference.

"I don't know who you are but I transformed you into a Vampire, MY SUCCESSOR. You'll make me powerful Ray_ You'll give me strength". Ethan told him.

"Aye Aye Captain". Ray smiled and bowed in front of him.

"Now". Ethan stood up from his place. He walked closer to Ray and smiled at him. He took out a ring from his pocket, similar to the one which he himself was wearing and took Ray's hand. "Wear it". He instructed.

Ray stretched his fingers and Ethan slipped the ring into his index finger.The ring shined brightly in the moonlight. Ray gasped. "It's so powerful.. I can feel it".

"It's the reward for what you did for me so far. And I will keep on rewarding you for whatever good you'll do to me. You'll be alright till morning.. go and hunt for blood". Ethan patted on his back.

"Thank you,Father". Ray smiled.

Ray and Henry left. It was just Josiah, Jaxon and Ethan now.

"What's with the jury?". Ethan asked.

"Father was accused of killing a Majestic Vampire for a human being who had no significance". Jaxon replied.

"Okay?". Ethan nodded.

"The jury has been asking him to come and stand in front of the justice but he never went to them in 75 years. He wants the battle to be finished ASAP so that the news of your return clears all the chaos". Josiah added.

"Hmm.. I'll go there when it's the right time". Ethan gave a nod. "Josiah, Mark's thirsty". He said restlessly.

"Should we kill him?". Josiah asked.

"We can't.. I promised him". Ethan shook his head.

"I'll have a look". Josiah stood up.

"You'll make everything ready tomorrow, Jax. This is the Beginning of the battle". Ethan looked at the sky with enlightened eyes.

Next Morning, The Vampires went to Asher's place.

Ray dumped the shopping bags on the floor. "These are the clocks we'll wear". He sighed.

"We'll make a single group". Jaxon said.

"Will we go too?". Michael asked. His voice was so low.

"Wait, did someone muted you?". Henry chuckled.

"Just the side effects of an ice cream". William replied with a laugh.

"Side effects". Ethan giggled. "I'll prepare a potion.. you'll drink it and become normal".

Michael gave a thumbs up.

"As for your question Michael". Jaxon cleared his throat. "You can't come with us, Only Rosie can..".

"What? Why?". Asher was surprised.

"She's got that necklace". Jaxon replied, pointing at Rosie's neck. The necklace which Ethan gave her was hanging in her neck. Ethan smiled as he saw her still wearing it.

"She's a girl! She can't go". Asher said.

"What do you mean GIRL? Gender Difference is not appreciated in Vampire world". Josiah told.

"But she's weak". Asher said.

"She's not.. she's stronger than you and when she has that necklace, she is the most strongest among all of us". Ethan finally replied to Asher.

"Why did you gave the necklace to HER?". Asher was angry. "You could give it to William! Or Michael!".

"Rosie is the one who deserved it, Asher". Ethan said. "It was my Mom's necklace.. when she wore it, nothing bad came near her".

"Fletcher's wife?". William asked.

"Yeah". Jaxon nodded.

"Then how did you killed her? I don't trust you Ethan. You are pushing her into danger". Asher said.

Ethan took a long breath. "My Mother wasn't wearing the necklace when I killed her & I don't care whether you trust me or not.. but lemme remind you, my enemies trust me as well". He was talking about Mark. "William, I assure you that Rosie will be alright. It's important to have her with us if we want to get Alexa back".

"I_". William looked at Asher. He was frowning. "I trust you Ethan.. I entrust my sister to you".

Ethan looked at Asher and grinned victoriously. "Thank you William.. you'll get your daughter back tomorrow". He said.

"So, we'll be a group of five people.. Me, Ethan, Rosie, Henry and Josiah..". Jaxon explained. "Ray will go alone as he will be representing The Hawleys in the party".

"Yep". Ray nodded.

"Use the right accent while telling the passcode so they don't suspect". Ethan instructed.

"Sure". Jaxon nodded.

"If you do ANY mistake.. I'll kill YOU people first". Ethan glanced angrily at The Vampires.

"This is what Ethan Wells was 75 years ago". Josiah said. "Always threatening us".

Jaxon chuckled softly.

"Hell Yes!". Ethan raised his eyebrows. His mood suddenly changed. "Now go and check whether our Vampires are ready to attack or not. Make sure there's no imposter".

"Don't worry Ethan.. everything's perfect". Jaxon smiled.
