Chapter 13 - Cairo's Bar

Hummingbird.

Mylo sighed as he adjusted the heading of the autopilot. "So are you going to reveal yourself or are you going to continue to hide?" Mylo asked as he looked from the cockpit to a shadowy area of the cargo bay.

"How did you realize I was here? My magic is enough to fool most gods." The black haired woman with pale skin responded as she looked around, stepping out of the shadow. "I knew a long time had passed and even saw some strange technologies but I am always surprised by human ingenuity, is this on some big bird or dragon?"

Mylo smirked as he shook his head, "nope, it is called an aircraft. Humans started making them for war, then they were modified for other uses. It is most commonly used as transport to get around the world, more often from one continent to another. As for finding you, my senses have been trained to pick up on everything. Even if it is the tiniest inconsistent shadow."

"What? Not even my brother Arthur trained himself for such obscure details. I assume you purposely took my grimoire from the vault? I am rather surprised though, not many realize that my last fragment of my soul was attached to it. I believe there are exactly six creatures in existence." The woman explained as she walked towards Mylo, clearly she was still on guard.

"Now there are ten in this reality. Honestly though, it was more of a guess than anything else. Acquiring you was more of a benefit." Mylo then pointed to a box that was locked magically. "The crystal ball was my main objective. But I have also been given authorization to ask you to join our group, of course we would offer you a new body instead of an immaterial one like you are using now." Mylo stood up and waved his hand through the woman's body. His hand went through her as though she was only a projection.

"Huh… let me guess. You plan to have me in the body of some woman you love and-" The woman was cut off mid sentence.

"Actually, for now I planned to give you a mechanical body. Like you said, technology has advanced." Mylo then went back and sat in the pilot's seat, "of course I plan on creating a soulless biological corpse using cloning. But that is going to wait until I get a sample of your original body. I assume you know where that is?"

"Get me this mechanical body first." The woman stated through slanted eyes with a gaze filled with suspicion.

"Okay, it is your body Morgana. Can I call you Morgana?" Mylo asked as he turned attention back to the control console just as a mansion located on a coastal edge came into view. The Vacation Home, while on the surface it seemed to be a normal mansion. Underneath it had a large underground space used for several secret facilities.

Jump City. Cairo's Bar. Four Years Ago.

"So this is where she comes during her down time?" Scarlett stepped out of the car as Mylo stepped out and rubbed his hands together as well to warm himself up. "A biker bar where frequent bar fights occur."

"Hey, we really have no place to judge her vices." Mylo chuckled out as he quickly walked towards the front door of the bar. "Come on, I can't self heat like you so I am cold."

Mylo opened the door of the bar and was struck with the loud sound of yelling and noise as people played pool, fought, and talked. Mylo could tell they would be out of place as he walked in. But he knew it was really a problem when he saw their target in a booth, sitting undisturbed. Mylo stood still for a moment as his breath was taken away. Her picture did not do her justice. That purple tinted black hair and pale skin really went well together. He had no idea how long he stood there admiring her. But he did know it was too long because Scarlett started chuckling, "hehehe, never seen that look on your face before. I think I will wait outside by the car, have fun."

Mylo shook his head and walked up to the booth and sat opposite Blackfire. He could feel the stares from the various biker gangs. It was as clear as day that he stood out.

Before Mylo even got a chance to speak, Blackfire shook her head, "like I tell all the other villain groups and organizations. I want no part in whatever you are selling. I just like being an annoyance to my baby sister."

Mylo chuckled, "there appears to be a misunderstanding." Mylo waited a moment and realized she did not believe him, when he got a lack of a response. "Okay… so then why did you bring that race of aliens to earth? What were they called? Collectors?"

Blackfire sighed as she rubbed the bridge of her nose and looked up from her glass for the first time. She looked like she was about to speak but stopped as she admired the appearance of the person sitting opposite her. He raised an eyebrow as an expression of amusement graced his face.

Then she shook her head, "not that it matters to those heroes. But it was those stupid humans at the radar dish station that contacted them. All I did was stop their transmissions, fortunately the 'Collectors' were the only group of invasive and aggressive species to receive their signals."

Mylo blinked in surprise. He then leaned back and pondered the situation, thinking back he realized that the sabotaged radar dish station was under control of LexCorp. "Huh… I guess Lex Luthor has gotten smarter about covering up his screw ups. Well in that case, I suppose I won't do this job."

Blackfire looked up at Mylo, "job?"

"Yeah, I was supposed to kill you. But I just realized it was probably a job manipulated by Lex Luthor, who is very much petty. I am guessing you turned down his offer at some point, so he was petty and tried to have you killed." Mylo explained getting a surprised look from Blackfire. Mylo only shrugged in response, "good thing I asked."

Blackfire was now noticeably nervous, "and now? What will you do?"

Mylo gave Blackfire a grin, "hmmm… well I might as well have a date with you while I am here."

Blackfire blushed as she grinned back and leaned forward over the table. "Oh really? In that case what is a handsome man like you doing in a place like this."

Mylo laughed but stopped as his phone started to ring, looking at it he saw that it was Scarlett. "Ha… sorry I have to take this real quick. It is my partner, I will tell her the change in plans while I am at it." Blackfire waved him off. Mylo leaned back and answered. "Yeah, Scar. What's up?"

"You have trouble incoming. Speedy, Starfire, and Bumblebee are incoming. They are suited up in their costumes. What is our play?" Scarlett asked.

"Hmmm…. Well that is unexpected. Nothing, we are canceling this. I am thinking about faking her death anyways, this was a classic Lex Luthor frame job." Mylo explained, getting a glare from Blackfire. "So you can head out and enjoy yourself, I will call tomorrow. Take the car." Mylo then hung up when he heard a grunt in response over the line. "Ha… seems you are quite popular. My fair lady, it seems your sister and two of her friends are here."

Blackfire grunts in annoyance as she scratches the back of her head. "Yeah… I am guessing it is for the same reason you came. That is what I get for doing something good to help my little sister and her new adoptive planet."

The door flew open as Starfire walked in with Bumblebee and Speedy following her in. Starfire was showcasing her anger as her eyes and fists glowed green with a fiery energy and she flew just off the ground. "Sister!"

"Anyways, have you been around any human forms of entertainment… Wait, that sounded weird." Mylo ignored the angry woman floating towards their table.

Blackfire had to hold back her grin as she responded, "I know what you mean. But no I haven't. Yes, my adorable over coddled sister. What do you want to say so badly that you would cause a disruption at my favorite bar?"

Blackfire was barely through her eyes rolling when Starfire was slamming her into the ground while holding her by the throat. "Sister! Stop acting like a child! You cannot do that! You cannot just bring invading aliens like that!"

Blackfire scratched at the hand that was holding her by her throat. "Sta-stahp choking me!" Blackfire choked out as she struggled to breath with her sister choking her.

"Sister, by the rules of this country! You are under arrest and-" Starfire started her spiel but was stopped by Mylo when he interrupted.

"Actually the only one committing a crime here is you." Mylo disagreed as he nodded towards the broken table and booth chair. "Not to mention you are a vigilante, you have no right to go around arresting people. In fact, in a former immigration city like Jump City there are laws that prohibit a civilian from acting like law enforcement. Especially in the case of them being an immigrant themselves." Mylo explained, his voice and statement was distracting enough that Blackfire was able to free herself and crawl away from the angry Starfire.

"Hey look bud-" Speedy, who had a distinct accent from his time in Star City. He stepped forward to grab Mylo but stopped as Mylo interrupted him as well.

"If you touch me I will have you charged with assault, keep in mind that not even an army of lawyers could stop you from being charged." Mylo then waved them away like he was shooing them. "Now if you excuse us. Miss…Komand'r and I were in the middle of a very important discussion."

"You-" This time it was Bumblebee. But she was interrupted by the barkeep.

"Hey! If you wannabe heroes are not going to pay for the damages or even buy anything then get lost. You are scaring off my customers, if you don't I will call the police to remove you kids." The Barkeep yelled from the bar as he cleaned a glass mug.

"Sister, I will wait outside for you. You can say goodbye to your friend but I will be taking you to-"

"No. Little sister, I will not be going anywhere with you. The only thing I have done in this world has been annoy you, you can certainly try to drag me around. But then you would be breaking the laws of this world." Blackfire stated as she stood up while rubbing her neck where there was a mark where she was choked by her sister.

"You-" Starfire was fuming and was about to speak but was stopped by Bumblebee who had noticed the other occupants of the bar were getting ready for a fight.

"Starfire. It is time we leave." Bumblebee started pulling Starfire out by her arm.

But as they got to the door Blackfire called out, "Little Sister." Blackfire looked right into Starfire's eyes, "have a good life." Then Starfire was pulled out the door in a confused state. With Speedy following after her.

"You okay miss?" The barkeep asked.

Blackfire nodded and rubbed her head as she sat next to Mylo who was still sitting on the remaining booth chair. "Yeah, I am all good, Kai. Sorry about the chairs, I can compensate you." She called back.

"No problem, I need to get some new ones anyway." The barkeep called back before he went back to cleaning glasses and the rest of the bar returned to normal.

"Sooo…. Football or Baseball? I want to take you to a sporting event as a date." Mylo gave Blackfire a cheeky grin.

Blackfire gave him a sad grin back, "in that case… Hockey. I really like how they fight all the time."

"Hahaha!" Mylo let out a laugh, "okay, I think there is a game in a nearby city tomorrow."

Jump City. Cairo's Bar. Now.

It was only the middle of the day. But as Blake rode her motorcycle up to the bar she saw that there was already a limousine parked out front. She also gave a slight smile as she remembered that this was where she first met her Ex. Then from the next day onwards she had begun a completely new and different kind of life.

One where she forsaken her old name and took on a new one. In doing so she gained happiness that she had never experienced in the many years she had ever lived as Komand'r.

As Blake parked her bike she looked around as she could feel she was being watched. She had her helmet on, so no one could recognize her. But just in case she took the laser shotgun she had in a holster on the bike. Walking into the bar she saw Scarlett and another woman sitting at a table while Cairo stood behind the bar. He was using a laptop and seemed to be typing.

"Ah! Blake, this is Talia, I am sure that Mylo has mentioned her before. And Talia this is Blake, now you two behave. I am going to go outside and entertain myself while I wait for you two to finish boring business talk." Scarlett stood up and walked out the door as Blake looked back to Talia and took off her helmet.

Jump City. Near Cairo's bar.

Nightwing was crouched behind a stack of crates. He got lucky because the location he was at was across the street from the bar those people went into. It was fortunate that there was an abandoned house. Now that this biker went in with a shotgun he figured he could get closer. Until he saw the red haired woman come out.

Nightwing sighed as he went to try and sneak around when his communicator rang. He quickly answered after glancing at the red haired woman. But then he looked down at his communicator.

"Yes? I am a bit busy." Nightwing whispered.

"Nightwing, I really just need to talk." Starfire's voice sounded strange, but he could feel the hint of sadness in it.

"Haa… okay Star I can-" But Nightwing stopped mid sentence as he looked up and noticed that the red haired woman was gone. She had disappeared.

"Hohoho? Who do we have here?" A voice behind him made him nearly jump out of his skin. He pulled out one of his sticks to hit the owner while dropping his phone. But all that happened was that she caught him by the wrist. "Ah… the original Robin. It is a pleasure to meet you Dick Grayson, I suppose this means I have met all but one of the members of the Bat family."

"Dick!?! Dick are you there?" Nightwing could hear the panic in Star's voice over the line.

"Star! I am at Cairo's Bar. Bring the other's I was following-" Nightwing did not get a chance to finish his sentence as he was thrown into a nearby wall and went through it.

The red haired woman crouched down and picked up his phone. "Hello? Hello! You must be this gentleman's lady. He can not come to the phone right now, he is busy learning how dangerous it is to follow dangerous people around." She then crushed the phone with her bare hands. "Now then… where were we my lovely little bird?" She then punched one hand into the other, "ah yes, I was going to give you a spanking."

Jump City. Titan's Tower. Earlier.

Starfire was surprised by Batman as he flew in. He owned his own jet and even made modifications. As he landed she walked towards Batman, "sorry for the late notice but Nightwing is out tailing someone. He won't be able to join us."

Batman shook his head, "that is alright, I mostly needed to speak to you. But are Speedy- actually Arsenal, and Bumblebee here?"

Starfire shook her head as she led him into the tower, "no, Bumblebee is at college. While Arsenal has gone to some island to train his abilities. The only ones here are myself, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, and Aqualad."

Batman sighed, "that is unfortunate." He then followed her until they arrived at what seemed to be a surveillance room. Batman looked around before he set the file that he had been carrying, in front of Starfire while he took a seat.

Starfire frowned but sat down in front of the file and flipped it open.

"This was retrieved while in the course of the investigation regarding these new people called Mylo and Scarlett, I am sure you got a rundown on them. Apparently, you have met one of them before. If only briefly, but I was more worried about the 'job' they were on while here. It seems, that they were here to-"

"Kill my sister?" Starfire sounds sad as she reads the file. "Why did they want my sister dead?" Starfire sounded flustered as she started reading through the file more quickly, Batman could even see sparks of green fire as she slowly started losing control of her powers. "They could not even prove anything."

"I looked into it on the way over. It turns out that Lex Luthor wanted to have her killed, apparently his radar communication dish was the actual reason that the Collectors noticed humanity and came. All your sister did was destroy the facility before any other alien races noticed." Batman explained.

Starfire's expression went from flustered and angry to sadness as she remembered her last encounter with her sister. She even remembered that Komand'r said one last thing to her almost like- "she knew she was about to die."

Batman looked at her waiting for her to continue.

Starfire then stood up and walked to the door, "excuse me. I- I need a minute."

She was only gone for a minute before she suddenly came storming back in. "Someone kidnapped Nightwing."
