[3rd POV]
DxD World
"Are you sure? We can definitely win."
Shinoa said, looking at Gremory after she asked them to wait.
"Yes... I don't want to fight alongside Sairaorg on the same team. After all, he is my cousin, and he's trying to prove his strength. We will face him with only our forces without you. After that, we need to ask Tony about Sairaorg's mother. She is still in a coma, and her sickness is still dangerous."
"Noble."
Winter nodded, understanding her reasoning.
She had already seen enough in the previous battle to understand their teamwork level and what they needed to improve on in the future.
"My little sister has grown up..."
Another voice sounded, causing Rias to turn sharply.
"Brother?"
"Sorry, I just came to check on you, and here you are, acting all grown up. Yet, not too long ago, you called me onii-chan and wanted to hug me..."
Sirzech's eyes glistened with tears, and his smile showed how much those memories meant to him.
"In any case, this is my decision, and I want to demonstrate my strength on my own. Afterward, we'll continue our girls' night. What about the Old Satans?"
She looked at him, who had slightly lost his cheerful demeanor.
"After everything that has happened, it would be foolish not to believe your words. We are all ready for any kind of emergency situation. Also, Heaven and the Undead are ready to help anytime. So, if the Chaos Brigade or any similar factions start to act, we will know about it."
Sirzechs said, somewhat amused by her seriousness.
"Good,"
She nodded.
"Good luck!"
Shinoa hugged Rias.
"It is unlikely that you will need it, but good luck. We'll be watching."
Winter said, and Erina and Hermione nodded in agreement.
Hermione frequently read the grimoire that hovered beside her.
"After this, we'll face three more teams."
Rias informed them before she and her peer were transported to the arena.
Their battle was about to begin, and she was ready.

DC World
"The ocean has once again become highly agitated, and for the past hour, the League of Justice has been helping people cope with the aftermath of this destructive natural disaster. The flooding on the coast of San Francisco could have claimed thousands of lives. In these videos, you can see how the well-known heroine Supergirl managed to freeze the wave and help ships reach the shore faster."
Lois Lane said this in a live broadcast.
"The coast of Los Angeles was also affected, and an unknown heroine in a white suit assisted there. The ever-raging nature does not give the people of California a break. Meteorologists report that the sudden change in waves in the Pacific Ocean can be explained by underwater tremors that occurred an hour ago."
The footage changed, and it now shows Wonder Woman.
"Wonder Woman is helping people in Japan, where the waves could have flooded all the coastal cities. They had already transported hundreds of ships and several liners to the shores, for which all the people on board are sincerely grateful. Superman was last seen on the coast of Alaska."

[Anthony POV]
"And why have these sea creatures come out?"
I asked aloud while looking at the dark mass of thousands of creatures approaching the Atlantis outpost.
The Undead as they are called, seemed to have gone insane and started emerging from their habitat.
Recently, I traveled to Erina's world with Kaori to leave her in the reliable hands of Senzaemon Nakiri.
She studied this world and its musical aspects for several days, and then... then she bowed to me and asked to be transported to a more peaceful place.
I had already anticipated this and told her that Lena would visit her, and I used a ticket to another world to teleport with her to Erina's world.
After all, she is my responsibility since I summoned her from her world... even though she would have been dead there.
However, she was now very happy and didn't feel sad. She was also ready for new experiences.
I even privately enhanced her body with magic to improve her memory and reflexes. She will definitely succeed in music.
There were problems in my world again immediately, but this time, they came from the ocean depths of space.
As soon as the problems with the ocean waters began, I immediately suspected something was wrong.
The Zodiac Crystal is currently with Zatanna, and the trident is with Atlanna.
There is no one on the underworld who might want a war with the surface should have such a connection with the Blue.
However, the waters are restless, and the source of this turmoil is approaching Atlantis.
"We don't know... but for several days now, they have been behaving this way, but they decided to attack Atlantis only now and quite purposefully."
Mera said, furrowing her brows.
"I'm glad you visited us. If only it weren't for these problems..."
"You could have called earlier,"
I glanced briefly at Atlanna as well.
"We thought we could handle the threat, but things have gone too far."
She shook her head.
"This is just a tiny fraction of the Undead swimming our way. We've already started firing at the swiftest ones, but they don't even stop."
Atlanna said.
"Perhaps... they are swimming towards the call of Neptune's Trident."
She gripped that very trident in her hand.
"Yes, it has become more active than I remember."
I nodded while looking at it.
"It's as if someone wants to reclaim it... This isn't a good sign."
I had already felt a strong signature approaching Atlantis, surrounded by these Undead.
"The d-dead king?"
Atlanna said fearfully.
"I saw his body; he was definitely dead."
I shrugged.
"By the way, since I'm here, Mera, this is the trident of the true god with the soul of Poseidon... whom I laid to rest myself."
I handed her the god's weapon.
"Am I... am I worthy of this?"
She asked while looking at the trident and then at me.
"I consider you worthy, and besides, I like you."
I admitted it, causing her to blush inwardly as she accepted the trident.
After that, the water around her began to glow, and then an additional layer of armor appeared on her body.
"You can mentally control the armor. The trident is now tied to your soul, and you can also control it with your mind."
I explained it to Mera.
"Thank you..."
Mera nodded, and after a moment, she swam closer and, almost fearfully, hugged me, pressing her body against mine.
Our relationship had undergone changes since we first met... for the better.
"How are you getting along with the Tuatha Dé Danann?"
I asked while wrapping one arm more tightly around the redhead.
"Very well... their magical knowledge has laid the foundation for opening a school of magic for our race, where any Atlanteans can learn magic if they wish."
Atlanna said this without commenting on our embrace.
"Now, my dear Mera, aim your trident at the Undead and wish for them to disappear."
I floated higher and released her, who wasn't too pleased about losing the warmth again.
But she quickly regained her focus, nodded, and pointed the trident's tip toward the approaching horde of monsters.
In the next second, the water around her began to stir, and all the water surrounding Atlantis glowed with a blue light in her eyes.
The water around the Undead literally turned into a whirlpool and tore them into bloody shreds.
"Not bad, but that's not even the full power of the trident. You need to get used to it. Ideally, it should be even more powerful than Neptune's Trident."
"You trust me with such power..."
Mera murmured.
"Of course I do..."
I looked at her.
After another second, our lips touched in a passionate and trembling kiss.
The waterless dome around us was created immediately, so I could kiss her without water filling my mouth.
"A royal kiss..."
I said it with a smirk as our lips parted.
"...M-my king..."
She clung to my chest with happiness written all over her face, her emotions swirling in a joyful dance.
She even called me King, perhaps hinting that she wanted me to become her husband...
Soon, Nuada joined us, having decided to aid her allies in the potential battle.
The armies of Atlantis and Xebel were ready to defend the city.
Even Karathen stood guard to protect Atlantis and become the first line of defense against the massive horde of the Undead.
There were literally tens of millions of them.
The ocean was restless due to someone with a strong connection to the Blue.
According to the footage from an underwater drone, it was indeed the Dead King Atlan.
He was no longer dead, but very much alive and angry.
While Superman, Diana, and the two Karas dealt with the issues above, I descended to uncover the cause of the disturbance.
"He will want to flood Atlantis again... or reclaim the Trident,"
Atlanna said as I used foresight magic and created an illusion for everyone to see the former king approaching us.
"Someone is helping him, and judging by the demonic energy emanation, it's someone from Hell."
I added.
There is always someone stronger in this world, but there's no point in fearing that.
I have long prepared a Plan B and even a Plan C, and I doubt someone like Trigon is involved.
It's more likely to be another demon from Hell who just wanted to cause trouble for the planet and the defenders.
"There are so many of them..."
Nuada gulped, staring at the millions of the Undead, turning the distant water pitch black.
However, they halted and did not come closer, and then he stepped forward...
"Is that Atlan?"
She asked.
"Yes,"
I nodded.
"Don't worry, we are safe regardless."
I reassured them.
"And he wants to talk."
...
"People of Atlantis! Your true king has returned! The King of the Seven Seas! The King of all oceans and waters! Atlan!"
Atlan suddenly proclaimed, his voice resonating through the water across Atlantis.
"People of Atlantis, do not believe the Dead King! He was long dead, and if he has returned... it is not out of goodwill nor to lead us to prosperity."
Atlanna countered, her voice also echoing through the water.
All three queens swam forward so Atlan could see them clearly.
"My Trident..."
He recognized the weapon in Atlanna's hands.
"You went mad and sank the kingdom. You will not regain power, and people like you can only destroy everything."
Atlanna said firmly.
"Times have changed... You are a relic of the past."
Nuada agreed, and she was right.
Atlan would likely want to start a war with the other kingdoms to conquer them, and perhaps even with the surface world afterward.
"So he was right. So be it."
However, no one could figure out what he was talking about, but he held out what looked like a copy of Neptune's Trident but was much better.
The Undead shouted and swam toward Atlantis at his command, eager to destroy everyone there.
"You are as mad as they say! Atlantis, to arms!"
Atlanna exclaimed while raising her trident and sending a shockwave through the water, exploding the first wave of the Undead.
After that, the kingdom's defensive weapons began firing at the enemies.
At first, Karathen hesitated to do anything because Atlan was the previous king, and his blood was deemed to be worthy.
However, she saw for herself that he told the monsters to destroy Atlantis.
This left no doubt, and with her massive tentacles, she started sweeping thousands of the Undead away with each swing.
Although I could have ended it all in a second, I can't always be the one to solve every problem.
This is especially true since we will soon be embarking on a mission in a parallel DC universe.
The Defenders will have to manage without me and Shinoa for some time.
"This is getting more serious."
I said, sensing a deity.
A huge number of different kinds of sharks were coming from the west toward Atlantis.
There is some deity standing on the biggest shark that could be called a Megalodon.
"Zatanna, are you busy?"
I opened a small portal next to her.
"Tony? Are you underwater?"
Zatanna raised an eyebrow.
"Actually, no, my father was just showing me a new spell... Is it something serious? Wait, I sense demonic magic and a god?"
She realized something was amiss and quickly opened a portal to me while creating a barrier around herself to stay dry and breathe.
"That's exactly why I called you."
I sent her some information.
"Hmm, I get it. Let's deal with this king and his monsters."
She nodded, raising her hand and using the combined Zodiac Crystal to immobilize all the Undead.
Atlanna wielded her trident, Nuada with her seal that I had enhanced to make her much stronger, and Mera used the trident to create a massive underwater whirlwind, forming a vortex.
The four of them annihilated the entire army of the Undead in mere seconds.
Meanwhile, I teleported to the deity.
"Go back where you came from, fish."
I said, looking at the god, a two-and-a-half-meter-tall humanoid fishman radiating divine energy that seemed eager to burst from his body.
"Hr, funny. We were offered a good deal, and we won't refuse. Today, Atlantis will fall for good with or without our help."
He said.
I couldn't recall who he was, but Cortana quickly identified him from the comics I had uploaded about Chondrakha, the ancient shark god.
"Whoever offered you this deal just used you."
I said, only to be hit by a red optical beam heated to three thousand degrees.
"Hmm, I didn't expect to meet you."
I saw a male figure in a black wetsuit with a large helmet and red visors standing behind the god.
Black Manta surprised us with his presence.
Black Manta's appearance made me wary, and it meant things were not as simple as they seemed.
He had collaborated with various entities in the comics, and with him here alongside Chondrakha and the suspiciously revived Atlan, it was clear someone was orchestrating a conspiracy.
This did not sit well with me, but luckily, I could find out everything I needed from his mind.
