Chapter 29

"Oh my god," Jason exclaimed, standing next to Diana and the two duplicates, as Cain, in his full dragon form, covered the entire sky with a multitude of arcane blades. The blades transformed into a tornado, a mesmerizing dance of destruction that rained down on Darkseid. The tyrant looked up, smirked, and dismissed it as "child's play." He retaliated with a wide beam of Omega beams, obliterating most of the arcane blades. Yet, they served their purpose — chaos.

Cain, in his draconic form, seized the opportunity and sent Darkseid flying, chasing him into the depths of the ocean. The confrontation continued underwater, the clash of these formidable beings hidden beneath the surface.

"ENOUGH!" Darkseid's bellow echoed as he burst out of the ocean, uppercutting Cain, who roared in response. Darkseid fired his Omega beams at Cain's eyes, but the dragon countered with a thunderous roar. Darkseid caught Cain by the tail, sending him flying back to the shore.

Diana and Jason rushed to Cain's aid, launching punches at Darkseid. However, the tyrant effortlessly caught their blows and retaliated, hurling them back onto the beach alongside Cain, who had reverted to his human form. Blood now stained his stomach and eyes.

"Cain, your eyes," Diana exclaimed, rushing towards him. She checked his face anxiously as he opened his eyes, revealing no visible damage. "My eyes are fine, they just feel heavy," Cain grumbled, his frustration evident, as he checked his screens. The battle had taken its toll, both physically and metaphysically.

Shady Visage: You obscure your own features, for half an hours .Rank 1(1 spell point) Cost: 1 charge )

Dragon Form: You assume the form weather full/half form of a western dragon, gaining the ability to breath fire, possess tough scales that negate 25% of all incoming damage, gain two wings to fly, and see through illusions for 15 minutes,Rank 1(1 spell point) Cost: 5 charge )

Direct Lightning: You fill a 20-foot sphere around yourself with sparks of lightning.Rank 1(1 spell point) Cost: 1 charge )

"Shit, only 4 left," Cain grumbled as he steadied himself. "We should worry about them," he said to Diana, just as Darkseid and his supposed daughter appeared. Suddenly, a man materialized, wearing summer clothes, a tropical shirt, and all, with receding black hair, a small mustache, and sunglasses. "Enough, do you hear me? I said enough," said the old man as he tossed away his sunglasses.

"Who the devil is this?" Jason asked, and Diana seemed equally puzzled. "My lawyer... I don't know, Mrs. Hopper, how are you even here? Wait, are you?" Diana asked as Mr. Hopper discarded his sunglasses.

"It was by the death of Hercules that I realized I should have at least tasted this foul stew you've cooked," Mr. Hopper said. Diana's face showed a realization. "Mr. Hopper, are you who I think you are?" she asked, visibly surprised. "Jason, don't you realize who he is?" Diana said as Jason wore an expression of disbelief.

"You may have corrupted my son, but it's not too late for him to see the light. As for you, you shall face the WRATH OF ZEUS," Mr. Hopper declared. Light flashed behind him, transforming his form. Now taller, dressed in golden armor, with lush brown hair, and holding the famous lightning bolt, he revealed himself as Zeus.

"I don't believe it, Father," Diana said. Suddenly, the light around the sky increased. Zeus looked up, noting, "Hmm, that is not my doing." Diana heard a familiar sound. "Agggh," a painful cry from Cain. She ran up to him, asking, "Cain, what is wrong?" Cain held out his hand with the pulsating tattoo.

"What are you doing?" she asked. Cain took a deep breath before gently holding Diana's cheek. "Hey, listen to me. Don't try to look for me. I will appear on my own, I promise. And when I do, I will be stronger, far stronger," Cain said, placing his forehead against Diana's. "What is happening, Cain?" she asked. His eyes barely open, storms gathering above him, he replied, "I don't know yet, but wherever it takes, I promise to grow stronger."

Transforming into the dragon-hybrid form, he added, "For the meantime, stay alive for me, okay?" He flew up, and as the storm gathered, Zeus asked Diana, "What is your lover doing, Diana? He is... bending time and space." Cain continued to ascend until a large bolt of lightning appeared.

*ROAR* Roaring as loud as he could, Cain met the bolt of lightning head-on, as if challenging the heavens themselves, before it disappeared.

"Cain," Diana whispered. "Your lover seems interesting, Diana. Of whose blood is he?" Zeus asked, and Diana hesitated before shaking her head. "Is it really you, Father?" she asked as Zeus answered, "Yes, it's me, daughter. For now, rest, while I fight this base creature."

"Base, you call me base?" Jason retorted. Indeed, Darkseid had grown from a mere baby to a roughly 18-year-old by consuming the children of Zeus, stealing their energy. The battle began, with Zeus sending Darkseid flying several meters across the sky, only for Darkseid to swiftly return, yelling, "I have fought planets. You will need more than a fist of light, you old fool!" as he punched Zeus back, marking the beginning of the fastest battle Diana had ever witnessed.

A/N that is the end of the second volume, and the first of cains true defeat, a leason, which hopefully would teach not to be arrogant, hopefully.

as you guys might have guessed, a new training arch is coming, and trust me, he is going to get strong, strong enough to bitch slap darkseid, (not true form darkseid, dont be ridiculous,).
