Chapter 33

Through the pink crack, thousands of small fairy-like creatures emerged, hideous and screaming like mosquitoes. Cain watched as a large creature crawled out of the portal, with four pairs of wings on its back, wielding some sort of trident. Its face was adorned with teeth, and eyes covered its body. "Looks like it's my time," he thought, immediately becoming visible, capturing the attention of the two creatures and the priest.

"Who are you?" the priest asked as Cain divided into twenty versions of himself, each transforming into a large dragon, breaking through the basement wall. Cain, in his hybrid form, leaped forward, grabbing the winged creature by the head and smashing it into the basement. He then took off, breaking through the basement wall.

Trevor, Sypha, Saint Germain, and the judge, shocked by the large fairies—bigger than a human head—were even more astounded when twenty dragons broke through the wall. "Is that?" the judge asked as Cain landed in the middle of the fight. "Bloody hell! We need to head into the basement," Trevor Belmont exclaimed, as Sypha and saint Germain looked at him as if he was an idiot, "and get stopped by them?" Sypha asked sarcastically as Trevor yelled back, "if we stay here, how are we going to close the portal?" and they all ran, joined by the fleeing monks.

The twenty dragons synchronized their fire breath, dropping the ugly fairies like flies throughout the entire church. Cain gained more XP and leveled up, already close to the next level. "Guess the gamble paid off as I recover my mana charges upon leveling up," he said to himself. Cain had summoned twenty duplicates, counting on instant mana recovery upon leveling up.

While the winged creature punched hybrid form Cain, sending him flying, he unfolded his wings to stop mid-air. "It's strong," he noted, and the creature used its trident to try and pierce Cain. As soon as it attacked, Cain disappeared, reappearing behind the demonic angel. Although it seemed like a short warp, he used accelerated self to slow down, dodging the attack before grabbing it by the wings and throwing it behind him for a relentless beating from the duplicates.

That trident-wielding demonic angel wasn't the only one summoned, much to Cain's delight. Others with double red swords, blood spears, and more emerged, each met with a barrage of spells and physical attacks from duplicates. Limbs were torn apart, wings pulled off, and bodies shredded until no more demonic angels came. Cain then went down to the basement, grumbling about hoping the others had handled things upstairs.

"I'm definitely going to unlock another spell," he told himself and unlocked a new spell, a wicked smile forming. "Oh yeah, that is going to do some damage," he grinned.

Going down to the basement, Cain was surprised at the oval-shaped portal revealing the other side—Hell. "Hell," they all exclaimed simultaneously, only to be surprised at Cain's presence. "What about the monsters upstairs?" Belmont asked, and Cain sighed. "I handled it," he replied, turning his attention back to the portal. "You killed all of them," Saint Germain said in surprise as Cain paid him no mind.
