(That's right...this is a remake.) A tired soul is chosen by God to become his warrior. R18 - If you see * in the chapter title, that means lemon. Darkness had descended upon the ruins of the ancient empire. Sand blew across the land, forcefully moved by the desolate winds. Lightning flashed through the dark clouds as an all black figure floated in the storm.
As Sora looked up at the cool looking figure, he knew he had to talk to him. To see if he was powerful…and to discern his personality. The sleepy man floated up before speaking.
"This is your domain? I wasn't aware…but why is it only ruins?" He asked. The godlike man crossed his arms. A frown marred his face.
"That's none of your concern. I'll create another empire right here, and rule over it like old times." The figure spoke as if it was already set in stone.
"...What if I told you that you could rule different worlds? Forget this place." Sora calmly suggested. The man's eyes narrowed.
"Why do you tell me this, mortal? What is your aim?"
"...I can't say much. The more people who know, the faster it will come to be. Here's what I can say. A time will come where we'll have no choice but to rule or face annihilation. I don't wish to rule so you can do it for me."
Hearing the young Lockhart's words, the figure grew angry. The lightning around his body intensified as he flew higher up into the storm. He was now looking down at Sora like an ant.
"You think I, Black Adam, will serve you?! A mere mortal?! I fail to see the joke. Your right to speak is now void. Perish." Adam spoke with arrogance.
'Do I truly look like a mortal right now? My clothes are literally glowing right now. Not to mention the coat hanging from my shoulders. Morgan Freeman! (Jesus Christ)' Sora thought sadly.
The champion of lightning pointed his finger at the sleepy man. Immediately, a huge bolt of lightning blasted down from the clouds and struck him. It had the force of an aircraft carrier.
BOOOOOM
Sora's body 'crashed' through dilapidated buildings, before finally landing in an underground chamber. Lightning crackled throughout his body. As he sat against the wall and gazed out of the hole, he couldn't help but smirk. This guy had a cool moveset. Who did he think he was…Zeus?
"He was an interesting one. Now, who else intrudes upon my domain? Not anyone can step foot in my home." Black Adam muttered casually.
His gaze turned to the injured Hal Jordan. The Green Lantern sweatdropped. Both hands raised to the air in surrender.
"Um…maybe we can talk about this?" He asked nervously. The hero was in no condition to fight. The dark champion smirked.
"You're already injured. It seems you were at the wrong place at the wrong time." Adam mocked before pointing his finger.
CRACK
Suddenly, the sound of broken glass resounded below them. Adam casually lowered his arm and glanced below. A bloody red light was growing brighter and brighter.
"Kffft. I'll…Grrrr…I'll…Gah…I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!!"
It was Atrocitus. How was he still alive? The answer was…rage. Red lanterns and their rage was a dangerous combination. Survivability would increase. It was unknown how he survived Sora's final attack. Probably due to the fact that it was the young Lockhart's first time trying it.
The red alien broke out his inner iceberg, his joints popping and crackling. His brain cells bubbled until the ice in his brain melted. Wounds closed and bones mended. His anger had grown to epic proportions. Quite an accomplishment to say the least.
Hal pointed at the alien while glancing at Black Adam. The champion frowned while looking at the 'creature'. What the hell was that thing?
"He's the reason we ended up here. It lives on anger. A destructive guy who's only purpose is to-"
"Guy? That's no guy. That's a demon. Demons aren't allowed here. Wicked thing!" Adam interrupted.
Atrocitus cracked his neck while looking around. The ground cracked as his strength constantly grew. Red light had cloaked his figure. He only glanced at the two figures in the air before speaking.
"Where's that shiny bastard?" He growled. Adam frowned at the tone.
"I've already vanquished him, you are next. A wicked looking creature like you…It hurts my eyes. Don't resist while I smite you." The champion raised his hand and large bolts of lightning struck down.
CRASH
Atrocitus materialized a shield but it immediately shattered. The blast sent him flying, but he quickly found his footing. The shield had mitigated most of the damage. A razor sharp nasty smile adorned the alien's face.
"You killed that shiny brat? Then you must be strong then. Hah! I'll use you to vent." He exclaimed before launching like a missile.
Upon reaching the champion, a red arm formed over his normal arm. Spikes were all over it. A massive punch was thrown, causing the air to whistle. Black Adam smirked. Charging up his arm with chaotic lightning, he met the blow.
BOOOOM
Lightning dispersed in all directions. The red lantern's body was sent blasting through the ancient empire. Black Adam's eyes shined with power as he accelerated with a sonic boom. Another fist slammed into the alien's gut.
BOOOOM
The dark champion caught up to Atrocitus once more. A knee smashed into his face, shattering his razor sharp teeth. That wasn't the end. A karate chop to the neck and another punch to the chest sent the red lantern into the sand. Multiple shockwaves exploded at once.
Black Adam raised his arm high…then lowered it. An incredibly massive bolt of lightning shot down from the heavens. It was like a pillar as it crashed onto the half dead alien.
KRAKOOOOM
Like a divine lance from heaven, the surroundings grew incredibly bright. The noise was extremely loud. Hal thought his eardrums would burst. A bit of blood fell from his ears.
Atrocitus was done for. Lightning flooded his system and entered his veins. His sizzling eyeballs exploded along with his brain. There was no chance to scream. It was too quick! His red skin melted leaving only the skeleton. Even then, the skeleton disintegrated. There was nothing left. No remains.
All that was left was the red ring. It buzzed for a second before beaming into the ruins. Once the light died down, Black Adam exhaled a breath full of energy. Static danced around the atmosphere due to his single action.
"Another mortal pretending to be something. What is going on? Why are there so many ants suddenly thinking they're strong?"
"...You know, I ask myself this question quite a lot." Sora answered.
Only now did the champion notice the shadow looming over him. He quickly turned around…but all he saw were golden eyes. A leg was already crashing into his side. As his body folded in slow motion, he could only think one thing.
'W-What…What the…'
DING
And he was gone. Like a star on the horizon. Sora kept his hands in his pockets while standing in the air. He adjusted his position as if calculating something, and waited.
It only took about 3 seconds. Black Adam appeared on the other side of the horizon, beaming right where the young Lockhart stood. The sleepy man raised his foot and stomped down on the champion's chest. It was effortless but filled with strength. Adam's mangled body was sent below the entire desert. A massive hole opened up in the sand.
"...You should really consider my offer." Sora called out into the abyssal hole.
The once arrogant man was now sprawled at the bottom of the desert. His entire body was mangled from only two blows. His eyes were glazed over, blood constantly pouring from his lips. Organs pulverized. Adam's body trembled unconsciously due to the sudden pain.
He didn't know where the pain was coming from. He just felt it all over. Everything was blurry. He couldn't breathe. Was he dying? What even happened?
"What…what the fuck?" He croaked before vomiting another liter of blood. Sora opened his palm, and a business card appeared.
"...Come find me once you realize how small you really are." The young Lockhart spoke slowly. The card fell into the hole.
The last 30 seconds had been like a movie. One moment Adam was beating up Atrocitus and the next, Sora was standing where the lightning guy used to be. Suppressing a yawn, the sleepy man flashed beside Hal. A hand patted the green lantern's shoulder.
"Aaaahh!" Hal jumped in fright. Turning his head, he frowned at the white haired man. Sora chuckled.
"You good? Did I scare you?" His slow voice got on Hal's nerves.
"Dude! Don't come at me like that! I swear you and Flash are the exact same." Hal's face was red. He was embarrassed.
"Haha. My bad. Well…seeya."
DING
Sora vanished just like that. It was a straight path back to his women. They were probably wondering what was taking him so long…even though the entire event had been maybe 15 minutes at most. Since they knew how fast he was, they were more demanding about his time. How cute.
Guys I'm running out of extra chapters and haven't been writing more lol. I think it's pretty good that I've made it this far.
