55: Changes

The Spirit which seemed to ride on a rocket had continuously increased. When the final number jumped, it turned into 9.1, and finally stabilising itself.

"My head hurts!"

With the sudden increase of the Spirit, right now Wade's body could still not adapt to the change.

He had a throbbing head and a runny nose, when he touched the area, he realised that he was bleeding from his nostrils!

"The increase in Spirit is too fast causing the amount of mana to increase exponential, and the body could not take it!"

Wade smiled wryly but very soon his expression changed and cracking noises came from within his body. At the same time, intense pain travelled from all parts of his body continuously.

Wade's facial muscles contorted and he fell flat on the bed, like a shrivelled up shrimp.

"Shit! The Mana Stability Potion's effect is up and the backlash from the potion has started!"

Wade howled, "Abby! Begin to coordinate with the Mana and get rid of the remnants from the potion!"

A layer of a greyish-black halo of light appeared and floated on his body, enveloping his whole body.

Along with the flickering of the halo, much of the bluish-black pus was expunged from Wads's pores, releasing a very acute stench.

A dozen minutes later, Wade struggled to get up. He took out a red-coloured potion from the bag lying beside him and drank it fully before his expression changed for the better.

At this moment his body was drenched in sweat and pus, bringing about an acidic stench, as if he had just been scooped out from the sewers.

Wade tried to pick himself up. His face was pale stricken and he was weak in the knees. His eyes were sunk in as if having been bedridden with an illness for many months.

After getting up with much difficulty he went towards the drawer to his side and took out the NS11 potion that he had prepared for himself.

After taking about 3 bottles of NS11 did he start to feel hai body slowly stabilise and the effects of the backlash slowly vanish.

Having finally the time to look at himself he saw himself covered in the yellowish pus and smelling the foul odour in the room a single thought came to his mind.

'Time for a relaxing bath'

Wade lay in his bathtub filled with warm water. The warm water flowed over his body, bringing away the dirt and grime from him.

After this whole year of taking the resonance potion ha not only increased his attributes from the inside but also from the outside.

He had a six-pack abs and all the muscles in his body we're perfectly defined. It was not to the extent that it would cause his body to look buff.

His body was streamlined letting to the fact that even he had a good amount of strength one wouldn't be able to see it if he adorned the robes he usually wore.

However, right now Wade completely did not have any interest to engage in an intense bout with them. Instead, he felt somewhat traumatic about the advancement today.

"Abby! Bring forth my current stats!" Wade commanded inwardly.

Abby projected the data in front of Wade's eyes. Apart from him, nobody else could see it. He closed his eyes, yet his mind was rapidly processing and thinking.

"En! My Vitality has increased by 0.2, strength and agility has increased by 0.1 which should be related to the use of the Mana Stability Potion.

Also, not only did my Spirit increase to 9.1,

I can feel that my Spirit is brimming with more energy as compared to before. My perception towards energy particles in the air has increased too, so casting Rank 0 spells should now be easier and I think I can start learning advanced Rank 0 spells.

It was better for me that the third spell I chose was of shadow sphere as not only does it match my elemental compatibility but it also gave me some new ways to enhance my shadow clone spell.

Still, the realm of a Rank 3 Apprentice is indeed not something any normal Rank 2 Apprentice can compare to. However, the process of advancing is too perilous!

Now tomorrow I will first go and have a talk with a mentor about potions related to spirit and later talk go to the academic area to buy some new spells."

Deciding his plan for tomorrow Wade got out of the bathtub and got dressed in some loose clothes and went to hai bed to sleep.

The next day after waking up the first thing he did was to take out the crystal ball provided by the Academy to update his data. So he inputted the 3rd rank spirit mana into the crystal ball to take a look.

"Let's check whether the information is right or wrong!" Wade removed the crystal ball provided by the Academy and entered his new spirit in the ball.

Talent - Clone: can create a clone according to host making, consists of strength based on creation, helpful during escape or curse situation.

Seeing that the update has been done, Wade put on his robe and went to his mentor's lab to share with him this good news.

"Oh? This energy movement?"

The undead Fred was startled, and immediately looked at Wade who had walked in, "Wade, you have broken through!"

"Yes!" Wade humbly lowered his head.

"It has at most been two years since you started meditating, it seems like your aptitude amongst the fourth-grade apprentice is outstanding, and it almost reaches that of the fifth-grade apprentices!" Fred spoke while smiling with gratification.
