Accidental Coincidence

The clear sky makes the activity feel more uplifting, moreover, the passing air adds a refreshing and peaceful impression.

"Are you happy living here, Prince Clovis?"

The question from a girl sitting on a park bench surprised the man standing behind her.

The man in question inclined his face, looking at the left side of the seated girl's face.

"It's so refreshing in here, Elie."

There was laughter from the girl sitting in front of him, for some reason it gave a reaction to his heart which was beating fast.

𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥? Thought Clovis.

"Prince Clovis? Are you okay?" Elie asked while turning her face.

𝘎𝘢𝘴𝘱-

The distance which was as thin as paper, made the four eyes meet and looked at each other. Red eyes that were like a sea of blood and also amber eyes that looked like the sun amidst the grass.

"Your eyes are truly beautiful, Prince Clovis."

Glancing at the lips of the girl in front of him, Clovis paused at the red lips that made him want to keep staring at them.

"Is that so? I never heard of it."

Elie quickly nodded. "When I look closer, I can see lava in your eyes."

Seeing Elie's smile and amber eyes that were so close to his face made Clovis unable to hold back his ears from turning red.

"Do you like my eye color?" Clovis asked as he propped his chin on his palm.

Elie smiled seeing Clovis' face that looked tempting to her. That girl's face turned, looking straight at the plants.

"Not only your eyes, but everything you have can't make me stop liking you," Elie replied with a slight smile.

Seeing how calm and peaceful Elie's face was made Clovis look at that girl deeply.

"Then keep liking me, Elie."

Elie glanced at Clovis was staring at her with a straight face. But suddenly a chuckle escaped her lips, startling the man standing behind the bench.

"What are you laughing at?" Clovis asked looking confused at Elie.

With a shake, Elie held back her laughter. "I just feel confused because what you're saying looks so serious."

"I do mean it."

The laughter that came out of Elie's lips stopped, moreover, that girl's face looked in disbelief when she saw Clovis.

"Did you also mean what you said back in the Empire?"

Clovis stared intently at Elie's amber beads. "Was it then and now that I looked like I was joking with you, Elie?"

Seeing the seriousness radiating from Clovis' eyes made her smile again and again.

"You are always the same." She mumbled.

While they were looking at each other, a coughing sound came from in front of Elie making them both turn their heads together.

"Reuci?" Elie was surprised to see the appearance of a little girl wearing a practice uniform.

Meanwhile, Clovis who was standing behind Elie suddenly looked at that little girl with a strange expression.

"Who's that Uncle, Sister?" She pointed at Clovis.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦. Clovis thought.

Seeing the little girl's round face in front of her made Elie chuckle, then she lifted Reuci's body so that the little girl sat beside her.

"He is the Emperor's Son, Reuci," Elie said while smoothing the braids of the little girl beside her.

With a surprised face, Reuci turned her head quickly to the man standing behind the park bench. She took a good look at Clovis's clothes, a long white linen shirt with a drawstring in the middle, and black trousers.

Reuci's attention turned to Clovis's hair, the back of which was quite long, almost covering that man's slender neck, the bangs of his hair that covered his eyes were set aside.

"He is quite handsome, I just found out the Emperor has a son."

Hearing Reuci's words made Elie and Clovis flinch because that little girl had been researching Clovis long enough.

𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙥!

Elie widened as Reuci's fingers gripped her shoulder, suddenly the little girl turned her face to Elie's ear.

"What is the Emperor's Son doing here, Sis?" she whispers.

Elie held back her laughter when she saw Reuci grip her shoulder. Carefully from behind, Clovis lifted Reuci's body which was swinging her legs.

"Sister! Help me!" Reuci screamed shaking.

But suddenly Reuci's body was carried by Clovis in his arms. Looking at Clovis's flat face which looked satisfied made her smile.

"Uncle Clovis won't drop you, Reuci," Elie said as she got up from her seat.

Seeing Elie turn her body backward made Clovis pensively watch her.

Elie laughed at Reuci's happy face which could see the entire garden in Clovis's arms.

"Uncle is very tall! I can beat Sis Elie's height." she was overjoyed.

Watching how Reuci was having fun in Clovis' arms made her amused. Seeing Elie's body in front of the park bench, Clovis walked around the park bench.

His tall body was already standing in front of Elie who watching the two of them.

"Prince Clovis will be a good father." Praise Elie saw Reuci's excited face.

Suddenly a hand wrapped around her waist, causing Elie to be pulled forward. Elie held Clovis's arm, she knew that the man did it on purpose.

"What are you doing?" Elie asked considering Reuci didn't know about their relationship yet.

His red eyes glanced at Reuci's face, who was busy waving her hands in the air.

Elie held back her shock as Clovis ran his fingers around her waist. When she looked up all she saw was that man's flat face with a small smile on his handsome face.

"Does Prince Clovis like to bother me so much now?" Elie restrained Clovis' fingers.

The man tilted his head, and then he released his fingers from Elie's grasp. But he immediately linked his fingers with Elie's.

"It's only you," Clovis whispered.

Elie chuckled at Clovis's face deceiving her. A soft and warm touch ran across her skin as she held Clovis' hand.

The cool breeze that hit the three of them added to the calming impression and also made them feel the approach of autumn.

"I want to tell you something, Elie."

Elie's face looked up and saw Clovis staring at the trees.

"What is it, Prince Clovis?"

Clovis held Reuci's body in his arms. Elie suddenly felt something covering her ears, what's more, she could hear the sound of a heartbeat echoing very clearly.

"There's something I wanted to tell you for a long time." Said Clovis with his dragon strength.

Elie felt her skin goosebumps as she saw Clovis's eyeballs turn reddish black and for the first time, she saw that.

"What is it, Prince?" she asks.

Clovis noticed Elie's amber eyes which looked stifled with fear.

"It seems we can't talk in this way."

Feeling the change in Clovis's expression made her uneasy.

"Is what you want to talk about very important?" Asked Elie curiously.

Clovis looked into Elie's eyes intently. "It concerns my dragon phase."

Elie frowned. "What did you say?" She asked not hearing clearly.

"My dragon phase is starting-"

𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜!

Elie covered her ears which were ringing after the spell from Clovis's dragon power faded.

"Prince Clovis?" Elie glanced at Clovis.

But unexpectedly a sword pointed near Clovis's neck until Elie held back her shock. Elie's attention shifted to Reuci's body which was closed in Clovis's arms.

"What happened?"

Elie saw a silver-gold sword held upright near Clovis' neck. She saw who the owner of the sword was.

"Luke?"

With her disbelief, Elie saw the body of a boy standing behind Clovis's body with his sword pointed.

"In the name of the Kingdom, any threats that come will be given punishment."

Elie watched with a worried expression how calm Clovis was with the sword at his neck.

"Can you lower your sword, Luke?" Elie asked in a gentle tone.

But a shake became the answer from Luke, her younger brother. "I heard that you are back, but why did I see you with a foreign man?"

Elie swallowed hard. "He's not a foreign man."

Luke glanced at his Sister with a confused look. "Then who is he? If you don't know him, I can kill him now."

𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐩-

"Sister Elie!" Luke screamed with a jolt.

Elie gripped Luke's sword hilt firmly, pushing away her brother's sword.

"Did I teach you to kill people without even knowing who they were?" she asked.

Luke growled in annoyance. "Who the heck is he?"

Elie stared into Luke's green eyes. "He is the Emperor's Son and he is my fiancé."

Not believing his Sister's words, Luke dared to approach Clovis who was still semi-conscious because of the side effects of using his dragon spell.

Luke's body stood in front of Clovis who was taller than him, even though he was only as elbow as that man.

"This man's Mana feels a bit messy," Luke said.

Feeling strange with his brother's words, Elie moved closer to Luke who was watching Clovis's face. Her amber eyes caught Clovis's face which looked dazed, but his beady eyes had turned to normal.

"I think this is a side effect of his dragon power?" Elie muttered as she touched Clovis' arm.

"Eʂɳαƚυ."

Luke saw the sparks of blue light emitting from Elie's fingers, watching how the blue light was absorbed by Clovis's heart.

"What did you give him, Sis?" he asked.

Elie pulled back her fingers after she felt enough of her mana was absorbed by Clovis.

"I put a bit of my mana to induce his awareness." She replied.

Worried about Elie because all he knows is that his Sister doesn't have mana power at the stage of being able to push other people's mana.

"Are you all right, sis?" he asked nervously.

Elie turned her head, seeing the worried and uneasy expression mixed on the face of the boy who was younger than her.

"I'm more than fine, Luke." She replied.

Even though he was still worried, Luke felt calmer the moment he saw Elie smile at Clovis. Even as her younger brother, it was the first time since Elie's departure to the Empire, he could see his sister's warm smile indirectly.

𝘈𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘰𝘮'𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩. Luke's mind was happy.

"Can you feel your mana, Prince Clovis?" Elie asked trying to be sure.

Clovis slowly regained his consciousness, he felt a little heavy on his shoulders because the dragon's strength was greater than his human's mana.

"I'm feeling better, Elie."

Seeing Clovis's face come to life again made Elie's lips curl into a smile. She slowly touched Clovis's arm who was looking at her with a look that seemed to have not fully recovered.

"Want to go back inside?" she offered.

But Clovis's attention turned to the boy in front of him, a boy who was watching Elie with admiring eyes.

"Who is he, Elie?" Clovis asked somehow feeling wary.

Hearing the deep voice of the man in front of him, Luke turned to the source of the voice where Clovis was glaring at him.

Luke's body slowly bowed before Clovis. "Respects to the Son of the Emperor."

Clovis glanced at Elie, confusion showing in his eyes. Elie chuckled at Clovis' confused face, she drew closer to Luke who slowly stood back up.

"He is Luke, my second brother." She replied.

Clovis frowned. "Really? His eyes are different from yours or the King's."

Smiling hearing that, Elie put her arm around her younger brother's shoulder who was shorter than her.

"His eyes are like my Mother, Queen Vainly." She replied while glancing at her brother's caramel mane.

Clovis nodded in understanding. "Warmest regards back to you, Luke."

Luke smiled faintly. "Sorry to greet you in such an unkind way. My apologies, Prince Clovis."

Elie's amber eyes glanced at Clovis who just watched with a straight face.

"No need to apologize."

Jolted at hearing this, Luke lifted his head and saw Clovis' stern face that looked amazing to him.

"Stand up before I feel bad for you are my Fiancé's Little Brother."

Not only Luke, but Elie who heard that was also surprised where her cheeks turned red after hearing Clovis say that.

"It turns out that you are really engaged to my sister," Luke said he didn't expect it.

Clovis glanced at Elie's face, but when his red eyes met that girl's amber eyes, Elie immediately looked away.

"We better get back inside, the wind's getting stronger," Elie said diverting.

He grinned when he saw Elie's cheeks and neck turn red, especially when she tried to cover it with her fingers.

"How cute," Clovis muttered.
