Chapter Ten

Aryanna made her back to the palace, she didn't have time to inform her mother since, in the letter, her call sounded urgent, she wondered what it will be like now if she'll ignore her like she had done yesterday or will she talk to her this time, she couldn't help but feel nervous this time not knowing what she to expect from her but she wouldn't let herself be disappointed this time.

Back at her chamber, she have to wait for some time before the door was pulled open for her, this time Adeera was sitting over at the table, Of course, she had seen her a lot of times at the palace but this was different because she hasn't been this close to her, she bowed her head in great respect and waited for the message on why she was here.

"Why don't you join me for some tea? Aryanna looked up in surprise to stare at the woman seated in front of her as he motioned her to the seat opposite her table, she was fazed for some time, what she didn't understand was the reason, the great guardian of Ethen would send for her on her chamber to have a tea. It was a great honor to her and without declining any further, she made her way to the seat.

Ares sat under the sun while Greece's luggage was transported to the boat, she felt the urge to run now, to turn away everything and sneak out but that wouldn't help because she'll be caught in no time, she have to wait till the close the border but how on earth was she going to survive Greece seductive approach, as he had said in the carriage, he wanted her and nothing more would make him change his mind.

She felt a wave of disgust remembering how his hand was right all through the ride to the border she wondered what amount of atrocity he was going to commit when no one would be looking, she felt her hand tremble and a cold shiver ran down her spine, despite being under the blazing heat she could felt herself trembling.

"You face look flush from sitting this long under the sun" she turned to see the woman, she guess she was traveling along with them too but she was the last person she wants to be thinking of now, "You should come inside, you should use some food" at the mentioned of food, she heard her tummy grumbled and without a word, she sat up and followed the woman to the boat. She felt her skin creep each time she remember what had happened in the carriage, what he had said to her.

She couldn't risk running away now, she only have to avoid Greece as much as possible she couldn't even bear the thought of sleeping next to him, she have to find a way quick, maybe she'll beg him to wait till their home to consummate their marriage but would he agree to know the reason he had paid such a huge amount of money was just to get under her dress "I have to find a way" she muttered and when the food arrived, she pushed the thought away and focus on how hungry she was.

"A great meeting is to be held tomorrow by the guardian and loyal for the upcoming festival" "Yes, my mum has been preparing a great deal for it, it is one of the important gathering and the festival…the loyal duke always make each seven years memorable...

The woman in front of her still dazzle like the sun, her eyes clear like the water,d her hair white like the snow, it was as if she was still in her youthful age despite being in her old age, and her power…was fierce like that of a guardian was given a divine power for their ruling, guardian of light, wind, rain, fire, fertility, storm, and the last which was never spoken of…the most dreadful power of all, guardian of darkness! "Will you join me for the gathering tomorrow? "Of course, I was the last gathering" Aryanna watched her smile as she raised the cup to her lips, everything about this woman was divine "I don't mean like any other loyal, Aryanna, I mean by my side" it was a great honor to be given such privilege.

Ares listen as the men at the pub sang while trying to hide as best as she could, the cargo would live in one hour and the men were spending their time away in the pub, she just wished she could slip away unnoticed in the crowd but she would hill wood again, she has to wait till they cross the border, she wouldn't risk getting caught for anything.

Just then she felt a strong hand grab her by the arm "You don't have to be any place else but my side, I only let you off to eat not to disappear! Do you understand? She nodded in pain as she watched Greece's monstrous "Yes, I understand" he dragged her down the pub and have her sit by his side while he bragged about himself and his new wife.

Ares listen as he brag about out how much he had bought her from an inn woman and what he expected to get from her, she felt like hitting him hard across the face from saying such a scandal but instead she was seated in midst of drunk men and watched them laugh at a silly joke and drink themselves to stupor, she found herself wishing that Greece would end up in a drunken state and wouldn't be able to carry on his filthy plan.

Just when she thought that the evening was going to be in her favor, she felt another man on her thigh "You're going to make such a great wife" Are4s looked up to find the man smiling at her "Get your fifth hands off me! She slapped his hand away only to be dragged up by another drunk man. "Greece surely, we could have some time with your beautiful wife before you take her to bed tonight.

All of them laughed as she struggled to free herself from the man's hold "Stupid girl! You wouldn't pretend that you haven't gone under a man before" the laughter that came from this one was a thunderous one even though ough though n Greece was enjoying the joke, what else did she expect from an old lowly man.

Just looking at their face made her angry and irritated and without thinking further, she reached out for the mug on the table and smashed on the man's head, he deserves to die…that was all she could think about!
