"Gone rabid? Yes, I believe so.” I whisper over my shoulder, and briefly catch a glimpse of Finn's horrified expression before I focus on the last remaining steps on the staircase. Following the now quieting growls, I find Nathan standing in the corner of his old office, staring angrily at the wall. As predicted, Nathan's stuck in a half shifted state, his claws unnaturally extending from his human fingers and toes, his canines elongated and a thin layer of fur covers patches of his skin. I slowly edge my way towards him but Finn reaches out and grasps tightly on my shoulder holding me back.
"Dawn, don't. He's not stable, if you get close to him, he'll attack you!" He whisper yells in my ear and I turn to face him.
"You don't think I know that? We can't leave him here, we need to protect the pack!" I tell him and he shakes his head vigorously.
"There's people who we're supposed to call in situations like this." He reminds me, and I grimace.
