I had practiced for about a week on teleportation and I had pretty much gotten the hang of it. I was also able to multitasking and made sure to have various objects floating around me as I teleported. I would float things like sticks, leaves, and pebbles. Making sure that they wouldn't fall as I practiced.
This definitely put a strain on my brain at the concentration needed to keep up the telekinetic field around myself while teleporting.
The upside was that I found my Adaptive Physiology activating and the more pressure I put on my brain and body, the faster my skills grew.
After only one week I could teleport almost seamlessly while having many logs rotating around me. I still haven't gotten to a point where I can lift myself up yet, but I am making progress.
I felt that I had made enough progress with teleportation so I decided to spend the next week solely on telekinetic exercise.
As I was trying to increase the weight I could lift, while simultaneously lessening the strain I would experience, I made a point to continue increasing the size and amount of objects in my telekinetic field and every so often attempting to uproot smaller trees.
All of this training has helped immensely in stimulating my mental prowess and I could feel I was close to a point where I could float my own body.
I got tired of spending all my time in the forest so I moved my training inside. I would walk around exploring the castle like house and all the while I would keep a telekinetic field on the bottom of my feet to help myself weigh less as my mind was holding the small weight instead of my body.
I found that this method of practice could give way to a way to increase my own speed as I could make my legs almost weightless while running and could therefore push myself to go faster. While doing this method I also would grab the dust I would see lying around on the different objects in the house like suits of armor, swords, paintings, curtains, etc.
My father was a history buff and was very into medieval history and the reneseance both the Arthurian times and the artistic reneseance
I would gather the dust and have it float around me as I explored the grounds. The dust was nearly invisible as long as I didn't let it bunch up around me and kept it expanded away from my body.
This training was killing three birds with one stone as u was also training on expanding how far my telekinetic field could reach from my body. By the end of another week with this training, my field had expanded to a 10 meter circular field in my vicinity.
....
(3 Days Later)
A full week and three days after doing that last method of training and I am now going to attempt to place a telekinetic field around myself and use it to fly.
I was back in the forest as I hoped to use the trees as obstacles to practice flying maneuvers.
'Okay, moment of truth' I thought to myself expectantly.
I slowly started to float in the air and I tried to keep myself stiff as a board so I didn't lose my balance.
"Whoooa oof" I exclaimed as my body flipped and I landed on my butt.
'Okay, staying stiff didn't help. Maybe I need to relax my muscles and simply allow myself to be carried, maybe i need to go limp.' I contemplated.
That choice seemed to work at first until I suddenly went flying to the left and smacked into a tree.
"Agh, Goddammit, what am I doing wrong?" I wondered aloud.
'Okay, so staying stiff made it so the field wasn't able to flow correctly and going limp caused my body's natural movement to affect the field. So I have to find that healthy medium.....Unless, could my body not matter at all? It could be intent based, just like my magic!' I contemplated and I seemed to have an epiphany.
I then disabled my telekinetic field and then took a calming breath to reassess my state of mind.
I then reactivated the field and focused on the feeling I had when I used my magic. Immediately a blue glow appeared over my body for an instant before fading and then all my movements became effortless. I could fly up, down, left, right, and increase my speed easily.
'I can't believe it was so easy. All I had to do was simulate the feeling I had when I used my magic and it worked just as easily. The only conclusion I can come to at the moment is that I somehow combined my telekinetic field with my magical aura that I already had a decent grasp of. After all, what else could explain the blue glow' I wondered.
"Regardless, it worked, now it's time to put the second part of my plan into place. I need to work on convincing Arthur and my parents to let me tour New York. This is going to be easier said than done, but as long as I word my words carefully, I should be able to make it work." I said to myself.
.....
(Next Morning At Breakfast)
My mother, my father, and I were sitting at the dining room table and eating a breakfast of waffles with butter and syrup, bacon, and scrambled eggs. It was now time to begin my plan.
I paused fir a moment, closing my eyes as I prepared what I would say. I then looked between my parents and cleared my throat to get their attention.
"Excuse me, I wanted to ask you guys something." I said.
My parents looked at me questioningly.
"What is it dear?" My mom asked.
"Are you feeling sick? We can take you back to hospital if you need it." My father added.
At my father's words, my mother seemed to start to panic. She rushed out of her seat and began to feel my pulse and my forehead to see if I had a fever.
"Oh, are you feeling alright baby? I can grab you some medicine on my way back from the office." My mother said concerningly.
I laughed off their worries as I continued.
"No, it's nothing like that. I was going to ask if you would allow me to tour New York, afterall I don't remember anything about it despite living here my whole life." .
I had said it In such a way that they believed I was asking to tour the city alone, this would help me later as they would be more likely to agree to my later argument as they would believe I would sneak out alone if they said no.
"Absolutely not, you have only been back for a few weeks, and the police still having found the ones who put a hit on you." My father said immediately vetoing my idea.
As I had expected, my father was quick to turn me down, but I had prepared for this.
"What if I had Arthur go with me?" I asked.
"Nonsense, Arthur alone may not be enough to protect you, what if they send many different assailants to attack you?" My mother argued agreeing with my father.
I then caused my face to appear as if I had just thought of something.
"I got it, we could use your personal limousine and have half the guards come with me and never leave my side that way if something really does happen, they could be between me and the assailants and j can also where a disguise so that I won't easily be recognized." I reasoned.
My father seemed to be contemplating my words as he knew that of his two personal limousines, one of them was completely bulletproof and was even equipped with some anti-riot technology that he had created with his company for a non-lethal option of subduing a protest if it got out of hand.
My mother on the other hand seemed worried still and I could tell she would most likely convince my father to not agree, so I pulled out my last option.
"Look, I understand that it is risky, but I hoped that a tour around the city might trigger something and I could get my memories back, I don't want to live my life never knowing my parents and how much they love me." I said as teats began to drip from my eyes in a probably Oscar worthy performance.
I knew I was manipulating their guilty feelings, and especially Arthur's as he already blamed himself for my condition, but I wanted my memories back and learning magic from Marvel's own magic experts would definitely help me in the long run when the Earth is threatened in the future.
I could see that my words were having an affect. My mother began to tear up and I saw my father clench his fist until his knuckles were white. At that moment, Arthur spoke up from the side.
"Sir, Madame, I know that you are worried for Master Grey, but I am willing to protect the young master with my life and I will never let him be hurt again. As you know I was once an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and I can make good use of my training to protect him." Arthur explained passionately.
'Whoa, Arthur was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent? Definitely making a note of that, could prove useful in the future' I thought excitedly.
Arthur's words seemed to finally make their decision and my father looked at me seriously before his gaze softened at the end.
"Very well, I will allow you to tour the city, but you will follow Arthur's directions to the letter and you will not be allowed to seoerate from your guards, even to go to the bathroom, they will wait inside the bathroom with you. Is that understood?" He said.
"Of course, I will listen to everything that Arthur says." I replied happily.
"I agree with your father, but if you start to feel sick or fatigued, you must inform Arthur immediately and he will take you to the hospital where we will meet him." My mom said as she had wiped her tears and stared at me with a fierce gaze.
"Yes, if I feel uncomfortable at all I will be sure to let Arthur know." I replied.
"Okay, then I hope you have fun. Be sure to tell us about tour day when you get home we haven'treally talked all that much after we got back from the hospital." My mother said as she walked up and gave me a big hug.
"You got it!" I said excitedly with a big smile.
My mother and Father were stunned as they hadn't seen their son smile like that in quite some time.
"And be sure to visit the museum of natural history, it is a wealth of information." My father replied with a smile, his history buff coming out.
"Naturally." I joked.
'Alright, Phase 1 complete. Now for Phase 2, getting Arthur to stop at the Sanctum.' I thought to myself as my plan was all coming together.
